Their electrical mittens leaked and suddenly became really hot and burnt my legs
    Jess W.

I paid $116 total. They burnt my leg, which they had to put a cold towel on for 2 hours before the redness went away, with their electrical gloves to remove powder, and then the manicurist was rude to me after I paid full price for everything and tipped. I was still polite after they burnt me because they apologized but when I told the manicurist Maria she did an extension crooked plus their was black lint in 3 of my completely white nails, the manicurist made them worse by buffing them unevenly after they dried leaving ridges and not fixing it. She said "I don't have time, just come back tomorrow" and started pressing her nail into my finger. Nancy, the manager, only refunded my manicure $50 but not my extensions $12 at first. Nancy said "I ain't refunding her pedicure for shit" to her coworkers who suggested it in Chinese because she didn't think I can't speak Mandarin. I told her in Chinese that I speak Mandarin too and please don't be rude because I am the one who said they can keep the pedicure cost and tip albeit they burnt me. What I am addressing is the hand extensions Nancy shouted she wasn't rude and that the pedicurist didn't burnt me, it was another staff member, so her point stands and demanded I give her my hand so she can cut off all extensions in order to refund them. I told she can't touch me because she shouted at me and I don't feel safe now. She refunded the $12 for extensions after. I paid $54 net for a pedicure and got screamed at and burnt.

A little more expensive than other places ($51 for a mani/pedi) but very clean and hygienic. No reused nail files and each tub is lined w plastic. I don't go here all the time but when I need a quick mani / pedi I won't hesitate to splurge here for the convenience and cleanliness. Bonus: they have a loyalty card for $10 off once you spend $200.

    Chipped the next morning.

I did a walk in appointment in a rush after an appointment in the same building. I unfortunately did not look at the reviews. This was a terrible gel manicure that chipped and cracked by the next morning. I just saw a recent photo of their posted price sign ($48, 3 weeks prior). They verbally told me a gel manicure was $50 when I asked. Wistaria on 57th is better and does not overcharge.

I am thrilled with this salon. The women who work here are extremely kind, professional, and talented. Lisa is outstanding, but they are all great. My only tip is to let them know what you want, and trust them. I got gel x nails and I am thrilled!

Isn't this color caaayutteeeee!!!! I love my gel nails.

for my first time getting serviced here I was satisfied. I asked for what I wanted, which was a gel manicure they seated me right away ... the whole process was relaxing. The women who was doing my nails ... took her time! & my nails came out really good. she even gave a lil 5 min neck massage after, she gave me tips on how to make my nails stronger .... I forgot to take the women's name because she was so into it. I'll be definitely going back. oh! & if your gel manicure or your powder gel (sns) starts to chip within a week, they fix it for FREE! I've never came across a salon that offers that service. &!!! they have like a rewards program where eveytime you go you get points added to this card they give I think $10 I THINK!! I'm not to sure on that but theirs definitely a rewards program. everyone experienc is going to be different so you just have to go & experience for yourself.

Less than a day from the manicure and the polish chipped.

The employees we're very rude, they forced me to leave tip before I got the service. They were talking in their language all the time, situation that was very uncomfortable. And the manicure didn't last a day, I have 7 nails with chipped polish. I don't recommend this place at all.

Got a powder gel manicure for the first time and it was great! Exceeded my expectations. Price is not bad and I also got a 15 min chair massage which was excellent! Ask for Lisa, she is great

I am thrilled with this salon. The women who work here are extremely kind, professional, and talented. Nancy is outstanding, but they are all great. My only tip is to let them know what you want, and trust them. I am posting my holiday nails and I am so happy!

Just got my nails done and came home to find my cuticles bleeding! I told her several times that it hurt while she used the machine to remove the cuticles but she kept going. She used the machine to shape my nails as well, but did an extremely poor job at making it all look even. She was also very distracted and would keep looking around. She ended up chipping off the polish from two of the nails and had to redo the dip powder. All my cuticles are completely shaved off as shown in the pictures. A lot of my skin went along with that. I have cuts in almost every finger but some ended up bleeding. I am so disappointed and would never recommend this place. It was the worst nail experience I've had.

    Tanusha S.

I came here with my husband around 7:20pm for a simple manicure for both him and me. Because they took us in and we knew they closed at 8:30pm we paid in cash and chose the easiest manicure possible and were super appreciative that they decided to take us last minute. It didnt seem busy at the time there was only one other customer. The woman doing my nails was very angry (maybe because we came in last minute and she wanted to leave). If that was the case she could have just said no I cannot do your nails at this time. She was so harsh with my hands, she burnt my thumb while trying to use nail glue to seal one broken nail. Then she tried to file it over and over. There is a huge lump on my thumb underneath all the color. She put one layer of polish on and that's it. Do not go here! Regardless of whether they were ready for service or not they were incredibly rough, rude, and it was a painful experience.

    French Manicure
    Jada D.

Visiting New York and passed by this nail salon and decided to give it a try. It was very clean and so pretty inside! Everyone was very generous as well. I usually don't wear my natural nails out, but I was very pleased with my French Manicure for $23.50 that included a relaxing massage and more. Definitely would recommend. Also, my nails looked great!

I pass by this nail salon after I got my milkshake next door and think probably I should get my nails done. This place is nice and clean. They have plastic wrap on the chair for each customer and everything is one time use. There is a glass board between pedicure chairs to isolate each customer and also glass boards to isolate customer and their employee on the manicure chair. There are not much customers and it's quite relax. Their employees are very friendly and they did a good job. I did a gel manicure and it came out so pretty (I took this photo after I got home). It's a lilac color lol.

I highly recommend Miss Bliss for superior quality and service!…read more I was in NY for work and desperately needed to get my nails done before a trade show. I found Miss Bliss on Yelp as a business open Sunday evening and walked in around 5 (they close at 7). All the seats were full and 2 girls already waiting, so they advised the wait would be an hour bc of this existing appointments. No problem for me since I thought this was still plenty of time to get in before closing. They were able to seat me around 5:45. I requested Gel-x (my first time but also my nails were pretty short and damaged from my picking off the last gel as it grew out). Jenny began meticulously working on cleaning my cuticles and sizing me up for the tips. I don't know what they look for, but she definitely worked through the different size options, and even re-applied one of the tips bc she noticed something was off. Honestly, I don't think I have have noticed but I do appreciate her attention to detail, she obviously cares about her craft. So 7 pm rolls around, the 3 other customers that were still there and had wrapped up their nail sessions. Julie, the other nail tech offers to finish up my polish design to let Jenny go home to her kids. I'm definitely feeling bad for keeping them past closing, and I am secretly hoping they rush through the polish so they can leave. NOPE! Julie takes her time on my design, and finishes up with a nice neck and hand massage, warm towel, and we all finally close up at 830. I am super grateful they continued to dedicate time to my service, while not sacrificing quality. Left a fat tip since I know Jenny and Julie will be splitting. Looking forward to coming back here on a future NY trip! Next time I will make an appointment though

my rating is between 3.5 and 4…read more i called ahead to see if they had any availability, and since they had pretty good ratings on google and yelp, i decided to go for it. my nails were getting way too long anyways. it was a very typical nail salon, the exact kind you would imagine when you think of one. she didn't ask what length i wanted and just went straight for the cut. by the time it came to filing, my nails ended up super short, and i am definitely a longer nail kind of girl. i'm not sure if she simply forgot to ask, but i'd like to think she was looking out for me and knew my nails would chip if they were kept too long. i went for a regular gel manicure since i told myself my nails need a break after this. when she was done, she gave me a shoulder massage, but it was very brief (shorter than the typical massages you get at nail appointments) and only on one shoulder, which felt a little odd. upon leaving, i immediately noticed a flaw on my left thumb. there were visibly tiny bumps, and once i noticed them, they kept bothering me. my conclusion: always go to the nail salon you trust, and that is exactly what i should've done.

A girl came over and started to give me my pedicure. As she's giving me the pedicure, this woman from the front desk comes over to her, and I hear her tell the girl when she finishes my pedicure she can go do the nails of another person as the place started to get a bit busy. Nobody says a word to me until my pedicure is completed and the girl who did my pedicure told me someone else will do my nails. I sit at a manicure table and another woman comes over, doesn't say hello or anything and starts doing my manicure. When it was time to cut the cuticles on my nails, I told her just push back the nails. She does one hand and she doesn't do the other so I said to her this is a rush job. She doesn't say a word. She then proceeds to do my other hand so she takes the buffer brush and starts scraping the nails around each cuticle. She then polished my nails and doesn't polish the entire nail as you can see from the pictures and leaves me with an open area on my thumb! I then go up to pay my bill and the woman who was at the front desk, asked me if I was happy. I told her I would never come back. When I said that to her, she could care less! No apology nothing. It truly creates a relaxing atmosphere. However, I've noticed that the quality of the mani & pedi has declined over the years, which has made me hesitant to return, even though it's in the most convenient location for me. These days when I returned, it's just for last minute color change to avoid more damage. I referred a friend to join me for a mani/pedi once, and she also mentioned that while the ambiance is great, but the owners should get their own mani & pedi done by their technicians, which I completely agree with. While I usually don't like getting my cuticles pushed or cut, I really appreciate that they respected that preference. However, when it comes to removing polish, it's done very recklessly with a lack of attention to detail. On several occasions, they've scraped the skin around the nails--sometimes cutting it to the point where it bled and required a bandage. When I mentioned this to the hostess after she asked for feedback, she dismissed it by saying I have sensitive skin. Since when is it normal for skin to be scraped during a mani/pedi? Additionally, I've had gel mani here twice in a row, and the technician over-shaved to the point where my nails ended up paper-thin that I have to ask the technician to apply extra coats to make up for it. One time, the technician even touched my skin with the machine that is used to shave the gel polish off. I've also had my skin scraped during pedicures, which is concerning. Every time I get a gel mani, within two weeks, the polish would start to lift on the cuticle side, which shows a lack of precision during the application. My friend got a regular mani & pedi here, and one of her nails chipped within a day. While I still love the atmosphere and the owners, the decline in the quality of the services, especially regarding polish removal, nail care, and attention to detail, has made me hesitant on coming back.

The interior design of the space is what pulled my attention when walking up 9th Ave. It is chic yet accessible and never approaches being or feeling gaudy. Very clean look (and space). Great color palate used. Very comfortable chairs. Good use of white space accentuated with green angular paint and golden decals and other ornamentations, all done minimally and with purposeful placement. Carmen (my nail tech) made good efforts and took obvious care to give me a nice buff manicure, all for only $27 (+ a small amount of tax). No nips or cuts. No pain. Textbook technique. Picked up well on when I wanted to zen out to the aura of the space and the well-curated spa playlist vs when I was open to a little nail tech kiki. Loved the sugar scrub they use for the hand massage. I take ownership for not getting the pre-cuticle work nail soak as part of the provided service. IMO, if a nail salon doesn't automatically incorporate the soak into your mani, you as the customer should speak up when the softening gel is pulled out and before it is applied. If they don't offer it? That's another thing. But I didn't test those waters and cannot speak to Nail Me Right (goodness gravy I love the business name!). So, keep in mind if the soak is your thing. They were very accommodating from the moment I arrived until I left. So I have a hunch this request wouldn't be a problem. Same with the end result. You as the customer are responsible for checking your nails / hands / feet / whatever before ending the appointment. I was late for my next appointment and did not, later seeing I would've like a little extra work done where the far end of nail edges meets the finger and a shinier buff applied. Again, I am quite sure Carmen would have accommodated had I done my part and spoken up before leaving. Still, I woke up the next morning to those slight extra bits naturally working themselves out (which points to the moisturizing measures NMR applies being of good quality), and my hand looking nice. I plan to pop in next time I'm in the area and in the market for some nail / hand / foot love, and hope you'll consider doing the same to support this family and what they're working to bring to the neighborhood.
