Price List. REASONABLE for QUALITY, HANDMADE PRODUCTS.
    Michael S.

If you want handmade, high quality Polish specialties, then Lilas in Livonia is the best place to go in Metropolitan Detroit. I have been going here for many years, but this is my first review of the business. They have many varieties of pierogies ($8-$10/dzn.) and every type I have tried is WONDERFUL. Recently, we have tried their Stuffed Cabbage (Golambki $12/ half dzn.) and they are EXQUISITE. My family used to get together to make these 2 items on an "assembly line". So we know how labor intensive these 2 items are to make. Do yourself a favor. Pass by those machine made, thick dough pierogies in the frozen section of the supermarket. Go for the tender hand made quality of Lilas!

Pierogi, stuffed cabbage, and sauerkraut all from Lila's. It was all amazing.

Delicious and some are unusual flavors. All are great: family favorite! We get them to go with all of our Polish- themed dinners.

I should've looked at the inside pictures more. My bad. :( The woman that runs a shop is sweet and friendly and helpful. She does events for the local kids and veterans. She also has classes for date nights and other events, for anyone that wants to learn how to make pierogi. The pierogi are all frozen, order and pay at the front counter. All orders are bagged. A small sheet of paper to give instructions on how to cook the pierogies in a pan with some butter. Suggested to eat with some sautéed onions and or sour cream for some. I got the chicken pot pie, the mushroom and mozzarella, cheddar, the potato and garlic, sauerkraut and mushroom, sauerkraut and onion. $87.04 The chicken pot pie comes with gravy and some crumbs to put on top. They have 25 different flavors, however, they were out of many and sold out , especof all the extra fellas. We cooked up the pierogi, sautéed some onions, kielbasa, kraut. We ate the potato and mushroom and mozzarella pierogi with the onions, cream cheese or sour cream. Pierogi took about 6-8 minutes on medium heat on the stovetop to brown some. The mushroom wasn't my favorite, as the mushrooms would gush out some water from it, was a rather unexpected experience, not for me. The mushroom and cheese were decent. The kraut and onion and the chicken pot pie fell apart somewhat during the cooking and flipping for us. The potatoes were as expected, not too bad.

Absolutely wonderful food. Pierogis are very tasty and good-sized…read more Recipes are from the owner's Ukrainian grand mother with Polish roots.

Polish Market continues to be my go to market for Polish sausage in Metror Detroit. I have tied most if not all of the other well known named Polish centric markets in metro Detroit but for my money this Market makes the best sausage. Their large selection of tasty sausage with fair pricing is second to none. In particular, I consider their cherry wood sausage to be exceptional where this is my go to wood species when I do my own smoking which I do on a weekly basis. It adds such a good and unique flavor to meat that I am surprised that more smoked meat centric businesses in the area dont do it. Sausage aside, I like to buy their Polish cookies/treats from Polish Market for my 90 something year old in laws who are immigrants from Poland where they get a huge kick out of these baked goods that remind them of their heritage and original homeland. It lights up their eyes when I say I bought Polish cookies for them. Sometimes the simplest things are the best things in life! (:

I enjoyed our exchange. He shared that he lived in San Diego before moving back and checked on me throughout my dining experience. I ordered the kielbasa from the appetizer menu. The grilled onions, pickles, fresh carrots and purple cabbage, especially the mustard made the kielbasa so succulent and savory. I have been craving for pierogi so that was what I ordered as my main entree. I had one of each flavor that they offer. It was a surprise w/ each bite because I did not know which was which. I was surprised I didn't devour the plate. My entree came w/ a fresh salad w/ house made ranch and house made roll (dense but airy!). After I ordered, I marveled at the decor. That rustic and historic vibe. There was a frame that holds music notes from Mozart and a piano to my left. I love how serene and intimate this restaurant was. I only took my phone out to take pictures of my food because I wanted to enjoy the solitude I seldom get to have. Come here! Take yourself out! You deserve it. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service!
