Ordered a 7 inch meat lovers on my last night in town. The ingredients are actually pretty good. Lots of flavor and no need for extras. The crust is cracker style and could have nailed the pub style with more crisp. Maybe the oven wasn't hot enough or they pulled it early. We had not been here in a very long time but went for a Father's Day family brunch with six of us. My crab cake benedict came out as a wrong order as a regular benedict with Canadian bacon and some very "round" poached eggs. The waitress took my plate back to the kitchen while I asked everyone to go ahead and start eating. They didn't and I felt bad. When my order finally came back, it was apparent that they just added two thin tiny crab cakes to it because they forgot and left the Canadian bacon on there. Everything was cold. Then when I cut in to the poached eggs, they were basically boiled eggs by now. I told the waitress I was not happy at all with this situation. She just smiled. Never again for this long-time local and if this happens again anywhere else, I'll go ahead and puncture the eggs and move stuff around so they will have to replace with fresh hot food. read more

We had family and friends in town and they've been wanting to check out Lillo's. We went on Cinco de Mayo as we decided Mexican places would be packed. We've been here several times but this night was just off. We've had the young man for a waiter and he was trying but just missed the mark on so many things. The place wasn't busy at all. We've order our drinks and that took quite a while. We then order our food and that took quite a long while as well (at least 45 minutes).. again, we were the only people inside as it was not busy. After about an hour our food came out we told our waiter we needed silverware, we wait and it doesn't come. He finally comes back and says he told the hostess to get our silverware and they did not. Our food was cold when it came out and I mean COLD, not even warm. Terrible experience! Very disappointing as our friends had heard such great things. read more

Wow! Rain cleared right before a glorious sunset over the water, fabulous view! I had the fish of the day, some kind of fancy thing similar to grouper, and it was perfect. I'm not proud of this, but I ended up trying both a Key Lime Martini and some kind of fancy mojito. And I had the bread pudding too, which was delicious but huge, so I couldn't finish it. I happened upon them while out and about. I ordered a small meat lovers pizza and a side of risotto for tomorrow, both to go. The pizza didn't make it home in my 15 minute drive! Lillo's was recommended to us by two different locals on a recent trip so we stopped in to check it out. Let me just get the negatives out of the way. -If you're splitting the check between parties, they up charge for that. -If you're not paying cash, they up charge for that. -Parties of two or more may be subject to added gratuities. Yes, two. Wtf? It wasn't included on our bill and I didn't ask in what circumstance they'd just go ahead and add it, but be aware. The view here is beyond amazing and there's outdoor seating as well as indoor seating with large windows overlooking the bay so I don't think you'll find a bad seat in the house. It's casual but we still felt a little underdressed in shorts, so next time I'd dress up a little more. Our waiter, Gray, was such a sweetheart and if you're lucky enough to be there when he is ask for him! I got the small 19th hole pizza, which is the spiciest one on the menu by Florida standards I guess...as for this Cajun girl I was still adding red pepper to mine for some additional heat. The pizzas are all on thin cracker type crust which isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it! There was also live music the night we went so the place is loud...a good thing to keep in mind if you're wanting something more intimate. All in all, it was ok and I'm glad we tried it. read more

We were recommended to go here. I have learned in Pensacola that reviews don't mean anything. We loved it. The bartender was also the pastry chef. She had baked over 10 pies and cakes. Well this place is not just good it is amazing. To add this is a review of the outdoor area. Mason is a the server and his service is great and top notch. He makes great recommendations and is quick to help. Brings out water for your dog. If you have a dog traveling with you this is the place you should go. The sunsets here are amazing. You can walk a little way down the bridge for an even better sunset view. The food is very good too. Probably not the burger but the pizza and nachos are worth a try. This is the best place this side of the bridge and walk under the bridge for lots of fishing and cool walking area. Highly recommend especially if you have a dog with you. 6:30 pm - Waited 30 minutes, had to ask a mgr to serve us, another 20 minutes for drinks, had to ask if we could order, finally food arrived (we arrived at 6:30, it is now 10 till 8), smoke Gouda risotto was the consistency of "stiff mash potatoes with no flavor". It was not risotto. Mgr came by several times to apologize but did nothing to ensure that at least our food was correct. I think we were given old risotto. Not worth the money. Ugh. read more

What a true little gem. I read all the reviews so even though we wanted to go eat Italian Food on the 21st-for the husband's 73rd birthday because he requested Italian food! We determined that since it was closed, that day and it was so well rated-we would wait until the next day and celebrate then. It was worth the wait!!! So we arrived at this cute little Italian restaurant with thick white paper tablecloth's that made it feel very warm and cozy, and of course the accompanying silverware. I started with an Italian Margarita, determined just to take a few sips, and it was delicious ....with lots of Italian Liqueurs, making it a true version of a margarita with an Italian twist! We ordered the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms as a starter and although it was a small appetizer to share, it was only stuffed with crab and maybe a little Patm-no filler here-and really delicious!! The Birthday Boy got Angel Hair Pasta with a hardy Ref Meat Sauce (and extra meat sauce /as with pasta. there's always plenty for two meals. He said it was very good. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan's, which came either grilled or fried and since I've never had it grilled, I wanted to try it , good choice on my part and lo and behold, it came with ZOODLES- (so from a carb perspective, it was probably as good as it could've been in terms of Italian food!) The toasted or grilled bread was a disappointment as it was at every restaurant we ate at in the Pensacola Beach area. It is found with an Entreé quite often, and must be obtained from the same place as it's all the same size and same flavor or lack there of. I'm not sure why -but no one served a really good rustic/baguette style bread with butter. That was the only negative to our experience here. Our service was great. The atmosphere was great. I am leaving a picture of the dessert case -in which I would've liked to have taken up residence. Everything look delectable. But we were stuff, so next time desert first.!!!! This restaurant was recommended so we thought we'd give it a try. We were told in advance not to be put off by the location and that the food was worth it. The exterior doesn't look like much from the parking lot and the entrance is a little confusing. The restaurant is completely separate from the quality inn you have to walk thru (office entrance) to get to the hallway to get to Lillo's. As soon as you walk into the dimly lit restaurant, you can see some water views from the windows. There's a screened in patio seating area, and also more seating options in the grassy area by the bay. We were greeted by a friendly purple/pink haired hostess and were seated quickly. The food was good. The side salads were delicious- so fresh and the house Italian was good! One of our son's had the Caprese pizza, and the other had the hamburger and fries. There was an issue when the food was getting ready to come out. Our server Kaylen said my son's pizza had a slice fall after it had been cooked so they were going to remake it. When all our food came out my son had nothing to eat for almost 15 minutes while they remade/cooked his pizza. One of the drinks I ordered never came out, but we didn't press for it because our server said it was her first day back after being gone for a year and a half, and we figured it must be stressful. My husband and I had the eggplant and chicken Parmesan. Both came with generous heaps of angel hair pasta with a lovely marinara. He said his chicken Parmesan was a little tough but the flavor was good, and my eggplant was also good but had a very small portion of eggplant. (It was only one slice and it was small (approx 2"x3")compared to other Italian restaurants we've eaten at where there's a couple of slices.) We ordered the Italian cream cake and the Oreo cake to go. The Italian cream cake was ok- too dense and oily, but the ginormous Oreo cake was fluffy and delicious. All in all, we probably won't come back here next time we are in town due to the issues mentioned above. read more
