They had jallab and grenadine syrups but alas no mint syrups (I'll just have to find a Moroccan grocer for that I suppose). Olive oil selection is ok but a bit sub-par for a Levantine grocer. All in all, a good grocer though and contrary to what other reviewers remarked, I found the staff very friendly as well.

Starting with a selection of food, it is such a wide variety accommodating various cultural food attributes. You can find anything from various types of cheeses to curry ketchup to sweets, to all sorts of jams and pastas, rices and accoutrement of other items that just is unbelievable! And if they don't have it, they might possibly be able to get it for you - just ask as they are open & accommodating. This leads into the prices without using competition names, their prices far beat those of the big chain box stores with a much better variety! Now onto the wife and husband. Most of our time was spent with the wife who is beyond knowledgeable of all of the different products in there. Either she herself has used them or she has customer feedback within a majority of it being her own personal experience. (I would love to try her homemade stuffed cabbage based upon how she described it). Any question we had she was able to talk about it in a way that we understood what she was saying and how we could incorporated into our cooking skills. She is a wealth of knowledge who does not mind talking to us because you could tell she values her customers. Even listening to her with other customers she takes the same level of care time and patience! Her husband also very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and customer centered. They also had a young man who was there who was extremely helpful. I can tell why their team is so happy because it starts at the top. This husband and wife duo truly take pride and what they're offering to their customers. They treat you like family and are beyond phenomenal. I found myself being more polite than the staff, who maintained a very unfriendly demeanor throughout the interaction. I don't take it personally, but stores like Dinosaur, Tha Moa, RD Market, and Lotte consistently offer much friendlier service with staff who understand how to treat customers. At Dragon's, the owner also works as the cashier, and the checkout experience felt tense and uncomfortable. The woman working Saturday night the 15th shift was particularly unprofessional. Unfortunately, I will not be returning under any circumstances. The Skinny Vietnamese lady, I think she's also the owner. She is significantly friendlier and more welcoming than the rest of the staff. Despite working very hard, she still treats every customer kindly and respectfully. That is what true leadership looks like. The team could benefit from following her example.

We've tried a couple of the local shops over the years and were mostly turned off. But recently, when we got a hankering for some homemade curries, marinades, stir fries, and such, we went on the hunt for something better and finally stumbled on Dinosaur. They aren't really "supermarket" huge, but far larger then the shops we've tried in the area. Plenty of shelf staples from a variety of cuisines, at decent prices. And a good selection of meats and produce that you won't find in the Winn-Dixies, Publixes, or Whole Foods in the area, and you can't simply order shipped from Amazon. As a "foody tourist" in a shop like this, I'm not entirely self sufficient. I can tell my galangal from my ginger, and my choy sum from my bok choy, but I still get lost trying to find or identify some things. The shopkeeper there keeps busy managing her store, and I don't expect her to play "tour guide," but she does try to be helpful and work past the language barrier when I come up with questions. The place is clean and pretty well organized considering the wide variety of foods and countries that are represented. A gold mine of exotic foods we can't find anywhere else.

Mostly great. The meats and seafood selection isn't all that though, but the dry and frozen selection beats a couple of other Asian markets I've been to in the area. Prices are good too. They do serve warm food as well. I will say though... The last couple times I've gotten the pork belly, it was room temperature. I'd imagine the piece of meat hanging next to that heat lamp should be keeping it warm. Maybe not? Haven't gotten it in a while, anyway. Kind of hard to spot this place if you have never been. It's behind the Zen restaurant, or whatever restaurant name it's changed to because it's been called 3 different names in the past couple years. Plenty of parking once you find it. Always a great thing in my opinion.
