My kids love the chicken here, so we've been there more than five times. This is the first time I've written a review. We often order Korean-style chicken, which is chicken covered in sauce and comes with rice. My kids order chicken nuggets with original sauce and maple syrup. The original sauce is delicious, but the sweetness of the maple syrup and the flavor of the chicken go together perfectly, so I want to go there at least once a month. Uhhh... Server was loudly arguing with a family member in Korean. I had the extra misfortune of understanding that language. There's a self-kiosk though, so I was able to order. I had their spiciest level. It was milder than Dave's normal hot flavor, and Dave's hottest flavor is also underwhelming to me. Got the Chicken Sando combo and oh man. It was filling and so juicy! Don't worry, they have a junior size. The coleslaw is on the sweeter side so it really balanced well with the spicy-ness of the chicken. I got Hot as my spice level but I recommend you get a level up with whatever you're used to if you really want to feel a kick. We went during their first week of open and staff was very kind and organized. The place itself is very spacious for large groups. We were a party of 12. So happy a hot chicken place opened up in the area. Finally got a local tasty chicken place added to the rotation. My wife and I got the chicken (mild) n waffles and the tender (medium) combo. Both were great I'm texture and flavor. I guess I took the advertised phrase that the flavors are hotter than you think wrong. I'm for sure going to get the hot tenders or sando next time. Not sure on this location. The angry hot in Montgomery AL made my ears ring and was almost tough to eat. It also was very lightly colored. The angry hot here in coppell is dark red colored and barely tickles. Really disappointing for a hangover day read more

I ordered online and very clearly specified I would pick up at 1:50 PM. Although there were no customers in sight ( so not busy as far as I could tell) when I got there , right on time, it wasn't ready. This is a GREAT place to get hot chicken. We have been looking for a place that can handle different degrees of heat needed for our family. Two of my sons love the hottest available (Hangry Hot), I love the Hot, and my wife loves the Mild. The chicken is juicy and spice is perfect for all of us, since they offer the different levels. The full breast of chicken sandwich is big enough to split, but the Chicken Sando is perfect size (though made with chicken tenders). It is right by Palio's in Coppell on Denton Tap, and Jimmy John's, so if you need multiple options, they are all right there together....but do yourself a favor and get the chicken at Hangry Joe's, you will not be disappointed. Each sandwich is cooked when you order so takes a few minutes. So worth the money as gigantic piece of chicken (enough for 2 sandwiches). One if the best chicken places I've ever been to. My friends and I got 3 (big) meals that added up to $50, so it was DEFINITELY pricey. However, for me, it was worth it. The wait was long, but that is because each meal is made when ordered so you get everything fresh. The customer service was good, although I believe there was somewhat of a language barrier so I will not hold it against them. Plus, it's a small chicken restaurant and I don't expect red carpet. We got our drinks, sat where we want and waited for about 10-20 minutes or so and got the most delicious food I've ever had. The chicken ranges from mild to spicy, and if you know korean chicken, it can get SPICY and it's the best chicken you can get. This chicken was extremely juicy and tender, yet not undercooked in any way to where you can see or taste blood or redness. The skin practically fell off and it was nice and crispy. The fries were waffle shaped, and seasoned with what I assumed was the same seasoning used for the chicken. They were crispy and delicious. I can't wait to come here again. EDIT: update from months later than when I originally came and holy cow, I still love this place. I've been ordering online and picking up instead since it's much more convenient for me and I absolutely love it. The chicken is still juicy, the fries are still yummy, and it travels well. I got the loaded fries mild. I was pleasantly surprised they loaded it mostly with chicken and light on the fries. Usually restaurants skimp on the protein especially when it's a dish like loaded fries where you can hide the lack of the meat. Chicken was very tender also. Saw this place recently open nearby where I worked so I had to come and give this place a try. Right off the bat I saw the prices are a bit higher than other hot chicken sandwich places I've been to. However the quality was pretty good! The fries came with a dipping sauce and was a great pair with the fries. The chicken breast in the sandwich was a large portion and the seasoning was great! However I ordered mine Medium spice and the spice was very underwhelming and was more like a mild or less. I'd recommend ordering one spice level above the level you're looking to eat. Overall I enjoyed the food and the meal was very filling! I'll be returning here again for sure read more

Picked up a to-go order today. Didn't realize today was their first day open. We got two chicken sandwiches (mild) and an order of waffle fries. The sandwiches are amazing! The chicken breast in the sandwich is huge. The sandwich has pickles and coleslaw on it. I got my slaw on the side. I'm not a coleslaw lover but their slaw is so delicious!
