Went to take my French bulldog in for his shots and ended up going back for all my dogs needs. Everyone there was very friendly. But Catherine was not only friendly but also informative and gave great advice when it came my dog. We live out in San Gabriel valley but make to trip out to Burbank because of her. This Vet is completely unprofessional. I had booked an appointment with their booking software and it was confirmed, thought everything was good to go. Two hours before my appointment time -- I had received three phone calls from Joanna asking to have my appointment moved to later in the day. I intentionally booked my appointment for the specific time because I wanted adequate time in case my dog needed to be there longer than usual due to his urinary issue. It's weird that I was able to book an appointment and then two hours before my appointment be asked to have it moved. Super unprofessional. And the excuse? They take lunch at 1...which you gotta eat, but why make appointments available right before lunch? Not well structured in my opinion. And to add an even more sour feeling about this place -- the gentleman I spoke with on the phone after I had called back to discuss the scheduling issue over my appointment was asking for vet records and was not able to get ahold of my vet. I get records are needed at times to figure out history of the animal, but the way I was being asked was not giving the vibe this office was asking in a way that felt aligned with the issue at hand, which was my dog having urinary issues. I already have vets I work with in a mobile setting, so I didn't need to be pitched extra services, products that I didn't need that were not related to the issue I was coming in for that needed attention in a office. I'd be very cautious of this vet -- It gave me the vibe that they are only in it for the money and do not care about your pet. I know they will respond to my review but truthfully, the truth is what the truth is and the way I was spoke too on the phone was not professional at all and to have my appointment moved two hours before it was supposed to happen is not okay. I went here for my 3yr baby dog. After discovering he couldn't walk and was dragged himself. This place was open on Sundays and I wanted to get help asap. When I went in they told me I had to get his $15,000 surgery for a dislocated disc. I told them I didn't have that type of money so the male "vet" just start drilling me that if I didn't want to spend that money on my family member maybe I should invest it in a wheelchair for him instead. Then they charged me for over 7 types of medicine they want me to give him every 20mins plus blood work. I ended up doing the surgery but my dog still passes away. And different hospital told me that the disc wasn't the only issue but his body was shutting down because of all the medication and he was suffering. This place only wants your money and doesn't care about your furry friends. I would never come here or recommend this place to anyone read more

When it comes to my animals my priority is their safety and wellbeing. My experience with Limehouse Veterinary Clinic made it extremely clear to me I could no longer trust them with the safety and health of my dog or cat. I waited some time to write this review to ensure I wrote with clarity. My family had been clients of Limehouse Vet for about a year, bringing our young puppy in for regular vaccinations and giardia treatment. I had few concerns and always enjoyed seeing the Front of House staff during our visits. However in September of 2025 I noticed my senior cat had a visibly noticeable growth on her left ear. I promptly brought my cat to Limehouse to consult with a veterinarian. He clearly saw and felt the growth on her left ear, and suggested a biopsy under anesthesia to determine if the growth was benign or dangerous. I agreed to the sedated procedure, which took place on a different date. Upon bringing my cat home from the planned surgery I soon realized the veterinarian had performed the operation on the INCORRECT EAR. The consultation and documentation all clearly indicated the correct ear for the surgery to take place. My senior cat pointlessly underwent anesthesia, weeks of antibiotics and oral sedation, and the painful healing of a previously healthy ear, due to the negligence of limehouse veterinary clinic. Upon promptly notifying the clinic of their mistake, Limehouse management declined to take accountability, or (more importantly) discuss how such a mistake could occur in their facility. I had to jump through hoops to receive their documentation for my cat's care, which clearly indicated I brought her in for her LEFT ear, the vet suggested surgery for her LEFT ear, yet they somehow took it upon themselves to perform surgery on her RIGHT ear. While the veterinarian promptly offered his apologies, management refused to admit any wrong doing. I am grateful the negligence of Limehouse Veterinary Clinic only cost my cat a few weeks of pain and discomfort. The fact that a mistake such as this occurred at a "medical" facility and management does not care, indicates drastic faults in safety protocols, procedures, documentation, and management. Mistakes happen, but mistakes like this do not happen at a facility that prioritizes safety and standard protocol. Look out for your pet and take them somewhere else. read more

I took my 13 year old dog Sparky here on July 3, 2026 for a chronic ear infection. Their own record describes him that day as "bright, alert, and responsive." He was treated by Dr. Katie Rainey, collapsed the next day, and died on July 9. Everything below is from their own paperwork. They charged me $514, including $70 for an ear cytology and $96 for a blood panel their own invoice calls "Pre-Op." A pre-treatment panel exists to show what state an animal is in before anything is put into him. They put him on three medications that afternoon and read the panel three days later. Their plan lists the cytology as "pending" when the drugs were chosen. Nobody there knew what they were treating when they treated him. Their record then states twice that I declined that panel. I did not. I paid for it and the lab reported it. The only thing I declined was a $400 ear culture, after Dr. Rainey said the cytology would be enough. When it came back abnormal, platelets at 95 against a floor of 170, nobody called me. I found out by phoning them repeatedly to reach a vet. One was a $94 Cytopoint injection, USDA-licensed for allergic dermatitis, not an infected ear, which the manufacturer says stays in circulation for weeks. Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia, a collapse in platelet count, is listed on its label as a very rare adverse reaction. His platelets came back at 95. I am not saying the injection did that. I am saying it went into a dog whose bloodwork nobody had read, and it cannot be taken back out. The only medication warning I got was that the gabapentin might cause drowsiness. When he collapsed and I called, I was told it was the sedative effect and someone would call me back. Nobody did. I lost a day waiting on that reassurance, then spent it hand feeding him and syringing water into a dog who days earlier had been running. Their record justifies the ear antibiotic as "a safe initial choice given the inability to visualize the left eardrum." Its FDA label says the opposite: "the integrity of the tympanic membrane should be evaluated before administering this product." They wrote it once daily when the label says twice daily, and the label says to stop the drug if hearing or balance problems appear. When I reported he could not stand, I was told to keep using it. Dr. Rainey recorded a heart murmur and increased thirst and wrote that these warranted further investigation. No chest x-ray was offered at that visit, and none was ever taken there. Another clinic x-rayed him on July 8 and found advanced lung cancer in minutes. After he died they approved a full refund, then asked me to sign away my right to complain to a regulatory body within five days and to stay silent. I declined, which is why I can post this. I did not choose this practice by accident. Their site lists "Ozone Therapy" as one of five named holistic services, beside acupuncture, herbal medicine and homeopathy. I called before booking and staff confirmed it. Dr. Rainey confirmed it in person and said we would start conventionally and revisit ozone the following week. It is the only reason my dog was there. On July 6, with him collapsed at home, she offered more conventional medication and then told me she does not perform ozone therapy at all. The only thing they do with ozone is rinse an ear with ozonated saline, billed at $104.50. There was never going to be a mixed approach. The page is still up. She spent the rest of that call calling the timing a coincidence and saying Sparky had not been a healthy dog anyway. Her own assessment, three days earlier, calls him "bright, alert, and responsive." He had cancer before I arrived and I am not saying they caused it, or that a cure existed. What I do believe is that a 13 year old dog quietly holding his own against something nobody had looked for has very little margin to spare, and is exactly the patient whose results you read before you medicate him. My first and last experience here. Needs improvement on empathy, communication, and time management from the vet and vet tech. The front desk lady was an absolute angel however. They wanted to charge me around 400$ and the vet tech was DEEPLY annoyed when I asked questions as to what each thing that I was paying for was for. The vet was knowledgeable but I didn't like the overall service. They didn't tell me my cat was super dehydrated and had a fever UNTIL after I declined certain services due to inadequate explanation from the vet tech. I spent two hours here and it felt like hell on earth, and they worked incredibly slow for a place that had no other patients. They also applied flea medication on my cat without my permission AND after I told them I already did the day before, then took my cat to wash him off. So. Fairly recently, I noticed one of my dogs had an inflamed limb as well as a skin issue under her armpit. Concerned, but a working gal, I went to this vet bc they have appointments afterwork, and I needed someone ASAP bc it was sudden and it worried me. I took her here and thought the place was nice. The staff is nice and kind and I felt like they treated my pup okay. My issue is about the care/treatments they gave her. She had a inflamed paw, so they ran some tests. Blood and stool, and told me to come back to go over results. At the time, she was covered in fleas, and I was doing what I could, but the topical I was using wasn't enough. I got some suggestions from them and I appreciate that. However, bc of the fleas, they told me to focus on that, as that might have been the cause of the inflamed paw/skin issue. Fast forward to another week ish, and I make another appointment to do over the tests. She was normal everywhere except for high platelet. I'm not a vet by any means, but it was over double the normal range. I don't think too much because I'm thinking if it was serious, they'd tell me. Nothing was really brought up, except animax and flea med. Third time I go after another week, bc now the fleas are gone and the inflammation and skin condition is still there! They take my baby in, look her over. When they bring her back, Dr Rainey comes into the room, and tells me that they heard a heart murmur, and that while her condition wasn't over, it had improved greatly with the medication. I was given another flea treatment to keep her flea free. For those keep track there are now two issues that weren't explained/addressed. The high platelet and heart murmur. I was told to come in a FOURTH time, to FINALLY get serious abt the skin issue (which they told me might need surgery). This was on Sunday. Monday evening I come home from work and my baby is NOT good, not moving and panting heavily. I take her to the urgent pet care clinic. They found the following: Liquid in my baby's lungs possibly pneumonia, inflamed ovaries, and the heart murmur. My baby could not breath without being in a special kennel that gave her oxygen and treatment to get her the best care was going to be 3K a day. The urgent care gave me three options. The one I couldn't afford, try treatment at home (and they were gentle with implying that she would not make it with the at home treatment) or putting her to sleep where she would be alone without me or her family. Shortly that night, my sweet baby passed at home with family around. ...I don't think Limehouse is to blame for my dog's passing. But looking into what a heart murmur is, I feel like I was cheated. The odds of them not hearing it the first two times is so small to me. I don't know anything about animal medicine, so I thought if they didn't act on it, it wasn't a serious problem. It was. I wonder if I had taken her elsewhere where they heard that, and began treating her immediately, would she still be here? I went to them thinking she was getting good care, I went there multiple times to try to solve what I thought was a small problem! Why did you not tell me what a heart murmur/high platelet means!? I feel cheated and robbed of my money and my baby. I feel like I was just told to keep coming back so I would keep coughing up money. The staff is great, but I wish I read the reviews here sooner. A lot of the negative seems to coincide with what I experienced. Talking to Rainey is a little hard, but she offers some ideas, but I feel like most of what was done was just guesses and not actual reasoning based on the results. Insisting the issue was fleas was like... I guess it makes sense? But I feel like a fool. I have two other boys that miss her dearly. I just want to caution folks about going here. I recently moved into the neighborhood and my dog had begun limping the first week in our new place. I hadn't settled on a new vet for him yet and our old vet was very far away and couldn't give us an appointment soon enough to see him. I was recommended to Limehouse by high profile friends who had had wonderful experiences many years ago, and coupled with the good reviews, I felt comfortable bringing my dog here. They were kind enough to work us in same day since my poor guy was limping. The office was filthy, dog and cat hair everywhere, even balls of hair gathering in the corners and under furniture. The room my dog and I were shown to had animal urine on the floor and pee pads everywhere. The vet took him back for an exam and let me know he has some swelling/inflammation and likely had a sprain. She told me she recommended a steroid injection to reduce the swelling/inflammation, along with laser treatment and a canine NSAID. She also wanted to give him a sedative daily "to reduce his activity" but kept using phrases like "knock him out" which made me uncomfortable. I came here seeking holistic/integrative care, I didn't like the idea of drugging my dog in order to rest him properly. He's well trained and does well with crate time - overly medicating is not our practice and I always consider side effects, risks and benefits with any pharmaceutical my dog is being offered. I declined the prescription sedative. As I was sitting in the waiting room reviewing the print out paperwork they had given me, I looked up the name of the "steroid" injection they were giving him in the back - buprenex, and I realized it is not a steroid. It is an opioid. I had not consented to my dog having an opioid injection, I had consented to a steroid. I didn't know if they had made a mistake or just misrepresented the information, but I went to the clinic door to stop them but they had already given it to my dog. I was incredibly stressed about this. The vet techs also couldn't properly answer my questions, it was important to me to know what dose he had been given in case he had a reaction, they didn't know the accurate answer on when the injection would take effect (the vet tech answered "oh probably some time tomorrow...") even most non-medical folks know when you inject an opioid it doesn't take hours to take effect... I would avoid this clinic. My guess is that it was a wonderful place some time ago but likely has changed over time. I left much more stressed than I was when I came in, and my dog was so stressed too. He was whining and panting most of the night after, likely from dysphoria from the buprenex or from the stress of the experience. I ended up scheduling a house call later that night with a concierge vet because I was so worried about my dog and scared he was having a bad reaction to the injection. I was with Limehouse for around 8 years. Never write a.review until now With a ny new pup & trying a new place in Burbank which I'm much happier with! I decided to write this review, because I actually have some comparison now. Whenever I went to Limehouse, I always waited 20 to 40 minutes to get help and that's not easy when you're in a very small craft room with other dogs and cats . They also don't like you to stand outside and wait. Once I would get in, sometimes I would wait in the room for another 20 to 30 minutes They check out the procedure was always complicated, and it always ended up being resolved by one lady who is pretty much a stable fixture there and has been there for years and who is also very helpful. You would think after that many years their admin would be much better and together . I went to them originally because I wanted more of a holistic approach and less pushing up medication's, but in all honesty, there's no difference between what they were doing, and what I am receiving at another place in Burbank, which is not considered "holistic". Vaccines are vaccines no matter where we go and the guides to giving them to pups is the same. A few times Limehouse would prescribe some things with you might consider a little bit more natural, but the price of whatever they were selling me was absolutely ridiculous. I had one dog that got cancer and yes, they were extremely kind, compassionate, but there was nothing they could do and I was referred to an oncologist for the dog. In the end, most of my visits wore for updated shots, or may be a little illness here there but the wait at my new place is near none they give me immediate service I'm not waiting in some room and the answer all the questions I have patiently and do not disappear on me. Also checking out is extremely easy.!! I might as well share where I am going now, it's called media city animal pets. I didn't intend to share the name of it but in all honesty, I think they are absolutely incredible there and it is a bit further of a drive for me by maybe 10 minutes. read more

Not only do they provide excellent service and comfort for both the pet, and the owner, they are very "user friendly" and understandable when explaining procedure, diagnosis, and time frame, for any given issue your pet might have. Excellent vet. One of the best in Los Angeles area. I have tried many vets and was relieved to find this gem of a place that focuses on preventative and natural remedies. Dr Rainey is a cat whisper and is incredibly knowledgable about cats. I have never met anyone who knows more about felines than her! She shows cats and loves them deeply. My cat had been scratching incessantly and causing bleeding so she suggested rubber tips that can be applied so she did not have to stay in her cone. She also suggested many ways to help my cats calm down when traveling. I also learned that my outdoor cats had developed pelts rather than normal coats. She knew what the cat had been eating just by looking at the fur..impressive. read more

I took my dog Chewie here years ago, but switched to a different vet after dealing with a vet there who treated us with a condescending attitude. Chewie died in November 2021. I have gotten postcard reminders, text messages, and voicemails to bring him in for a checkup. I spoke to the person calling me and asked that they remove him from their system. I texted the same request. I JUST GOT ANOTHER CALL. I told the person that this is incredibly upsetting and to communicate that this needs to stop. She said that they would let the clinic know. Seriously though, if I stopped going to your office years ago, why are you still asking me to come in? Now, I'm waiting on hold to speak to someone in your office. I initially liked this place on my first visit. They were extremely nice, called me in a reasonable amount of time, & the doctor explained to me my options very clearly. My second visit was when I decided that I would never take my dog back here ever again. My dog has seen a ton of specialists (he has cancer). He was receiving acupuncture sessions to boost his immune system. I gathered all his paperwork from the several veterinarians that he has seen for his problem and emailed it to Limehouse prior. The first visit went great. He was in and out of the vet's office in 90 minutes for his first acupuncture treatment. The doctor called me and cheerfully explained to me what he was going to do, & other treatment options for his cancer. He told was super patient & answered any questions. He asked if I wanted cold laser therapy and explained to me the benefits - I agreed! After about 40 minutes, he called me back & said that everything went really well and to come pick him up from the office. When I made the 2nd appointment, I made sure the front desk girl knew that I wanted the same doctor again. She reassured me that my appt would be with the same doctor. Wrong. Fast forward to said appointment, I waited outside the office for 40 mins before they were able to see me. When they called, it was a completely different doctor (Dr. Rainey). First of all, he doesn't even say hi. He just dives right into, "You know... Your dog has cancer. Did you even read his report?" with a really condescending tone. He.... He has cancer?! My god. I had no clue. He then started to READ ME MY DOG'S MEDICAL REPORT. WORD FOR WORD. AND DOES NOT STOP. I keep trying to interrupt him to ask, "Hey, what's the purpose of this call?" But he just bulldozed on through. Would NOT. STOP. TALKING. Trust me, my guy. I've read through the reports several times while bawling my eyes out. I don't need you to read it to me. After thoroughly reading me the first page of the report, I was able to finally interject, "What's your name?" He then informed me that his name was Dr. Rainey. He then asked why I got cold laser therapy, since it doesn't help with cancer? Wait, what? Hold up. Pause. I reflected back on my first visit where I was told that it would help. Now? Now I'm PISSED. I've been cheated out of money & lied to. He then starts bull dozing onto the second page of the report - anal sac carcinoma, potentially high levels of calcium is bad, his bloodwork showed blah, blah, blah. Now that I'm pissed, I don't care if I'm being rude. I immediately cut him reading the report off with, "Please do NOT administer treatment to my dog. Keep him there - I am coming to pick him up right now." I hang up & speed my way there to get my dog. I have never been back and tell everyone that I know to avoid this place like the plague. Horrible multiple experiences with this place! I would excuse the poor office staff if I didn't have a terrible experience with the vet. I originally went here looking for a holistic practice that treats more naturally. They have one vet that treats this way and only comes in one day a week. I had a new puppy and needed an initial checkup and shots for her and wanted to establish our one year old Westie with him also. Since it was a 1/2 hour drive for me, I wanted to bring both dogs at once. The woman kept me on the phone over 15 minutes as she checked and double checked if she could get two appointments. She came back and gave me a date. 5 days befire that appt - the office calls and claims that the other appt setter was new and they couldn't do that. I now was facing needing initial shots and wellness check for my new puppy I was getting the next day. Since I didn't care about holistic care for shots, I took an appt with the other vet and made an appt for my other dog a month out - being assured I could move the puppy to that vet easily Went in to get the initial check and shots. The vet comes in and proceeds to ask me whether I had researched this breed - I said Well I know Golden retriever's are prone to cancer. He said - I would never have this breed and proceeded to list all the things that can go wrong. Then shrugged his shoulders and said - now you know! He was so smug and cold and arrogant. We walked out and my husband said - we are never going back there. I told him I wanted to see the holistic vet. We had already made appointments for the rest of this pup's shots. We were leaving for the summer one week before her final shots and they checked with the vet to see if we could still do it then. He said yes. Well - today was the day for last shots. We drive 1/2 hour down there and they said she couldn't have the rabies because she is not quite 4 months old. So frustrating! They are overpriced, unorganized and the place is dirty. I saw a review that read 'What happened to this place?' and unfortunately I could not agree more. It does not bring me joy to write a review that is not positive, but as this establishment is supposed to be a place where you can trust that they will take care of your pet, a living being, I felt it was important to share. When I visited this vet a few years back when my cat had a small growth on his neck that ended up needing to be removed, they were absolutely fantastic. Which is why when I noticed a thick cloudiness occur in one of his eyes overnight, I immediately thought to come back here again. However, this time around the office was incredibly horrible at communicating and to me felt like they were trying to take my money with their lack of communication and unnecessary recommendations. It was not till I was in the office that I was aware that the doctor would not be seeing my cat with me, but rather they would take my cat to the doctor then I would get a call from the doctor with their feedback which was rather alarming. I understand now that the doctor is precautious about covid(completely understandable) but a heads up from their team would have been appreciated. After we ended up seeing a recommended specialist for his eye instead, we understand how poorly we had been treated and that if we could have acted sooner we may have been able to save my cat's eye. We already knew the doctor was going to recommend a specialist because they mentioned it on the first visit. However, they had us come in for another visit to run the same exact tests again, which then I would be paying for a third time upcoming at the specialist office! Again, I feel like they just wanted to prolong the process, even with my cat in pain, to gain money. When we visited the specialist office, we explained our frustration, and without question they comped the tests that were already performed even though it was not their fault whatsoever. I will say, the speicalist was recommended by the limehouse vet and I am so grateful! Because once we were at the specialist, our baby was treated with the upmost care, and so were we as parents. My daughter was looking frantically looking for an urgent care to take her dog to for a bleeding paw after a horrific grooming visit. The Emergency Animal ER was a 2-4 hour wait! I called Limehouse and they asked that she bring her dog right over! They examined her dog immediately and provided care, compassion, and advice. I took our dog in for her yearly exam for the herbs that were prescribed years ago by Dr. Gray to help keep her cancer from returning. The herbs have done their job, and our little Hope continues to be cancer-free 8 years later. Today was our first visit with Dr. Katie Rainey. She was EXTREMELY thorough and compassionate. I am so grateful for Limehouse and Dr. Ram. They saved my cat's life, and saved me many thousands of dollars! After a few days of lethargy / no appetite and daily vomiting, I called Limehouse on a Sunday a couple hours before closing time, and the receptionist encouraged me to bring my cat in immediately, telling me she would make room for us right away. Unfortunately I couldn't get her in the carrier in time, so I called back and they scheduled me for first thing the next morning. I met with Dr. Ram and after talking with him, he shared that his top concern was a linear foreign object causing a blockage. He was frank that we could do bloodwork and x-rays and that if it's a foreign object, those tests might not show it. He said going straight to an exploratory surgery could be the best option and would save money on testing, but that he understands pet parents don't usually love the idea of jumping into surgery. I did indeed opt to do the tests instead, and after they both looked good, he provided supportive care (fluids and an anti nausea med) and wrote down some notes for bland food and other meds I could give her at home. He also provided a list of 24-hr animal hospital ERs I could take her to for an ultrasound should she start vomiting again--which he recommended I do immediately if that should happen. She improved for a week, and then the symptoms returned. I called the clinic and Dr. Ram called me back right away and encouraged me to get her an ultrasound asap. He also cautioned me that the ER / animal hospitals would charge more than double what he would charge for an exploratory surgey or other treatments, and welcomed me to simply bring the ultrasound results immediately to him. Sure enough, after performing an ultrasound that was still a bit unclear but indicated a possible foreign object, the ER doc provided an estimate of $11k - $15k for surgery/treatment. I was devastated because I absolutely could not afford that. I called Limehouse on a Saturday evening after hours and left a voicemail, and first thing Sunday morning they called me back and told me to bring her in for surgery first thing Monday. I took her in for surgery and after two weeks of a linear foreign object causing damage to her intestines, the prognosis was not great for my sweet kitty. But Dr. Ram and his team gave her a chance and did their best work, and set me up with all the meds and instructions I would need to care for her at home. I have a difficult cat who is hard to medicate, and they even offered to help by medicating her for me if I brought her by the clinic once a day. They were very helpful during her recovery, providing me with gabapentin and xanax to give her to help reduce her anxiety. The whole staff expressed concern for her and asked after her whenever I stopped by to pick up a med or brought her in for a check-up in the days after her surgery. She has made a full recovery so far (almost two weeks out from surgery!) and I am beyond relieved. Dr. Ram saved her life, and the surgery, meds, and check-up visits together totaled under $4k, which is many thousands of dollars below the $11k - $15k the animal hospital quoted me. What happened to this place?!?! What a disappointment. Staff(doctor) really needs some Schooling on how not to be a lecturing d-bag. I finally have money to address my cat's issues but I am rethinking staying with Limehouse or going elsewhere. They used to be awesome. So sad. In addition, when I went to pick up my cat, the super genius doctor hadn't even checked my cat for the conditions I brought him in for!! I had to sit in the parking lot for another 45 minutes. When I first found limehouse, I was excited because they are a wholistic animal vet. My dog had blood in his stool and I was very worried. I took my dog last week for an appointment I had at 4:00pm. I didn't receive a phone call until 6pm when the doctor was examining my dog. For two hours he was shoved in a cage, which I was unhappy about. The doctor seemed nice and gave me some medicine and told me to change my dogs diet. When they finally brought my dog out 3 hours later, he had a large cut on his nose that was not there previously. A day later my dog was completely constipated, and I called into the nurse 3 times. Each time they told me someone should call. It's been over a week later and no one has called. They sent me my dogs blood results and didn't even call to go over them. They are very unprofessional and this is no way to run a business. I would not recommend them. read more

I couldn't make an appointment the night before because my yorkie got sudden ear pain late at night and Dr Ram still made time to see me. He said he couldn't send my dog away knowing he was in pain. This place is disorganized to the point of incompetence. Brought my cat here for a sinus issue. Waited many hours in the parking lot, only to learn that the vet had been calling my home phone number instead of my cell. At the appointment, the vet, Dr. Rainey, asked to run some blood tests and do an Xray of my cat's belly. She sent me home with a bunch of expensive homeopathic "medicines" to help his breathing. Later that night, the vet called me at home to say my cat had a hernia and an enlarged intestine that was causing a systemic infection affecting the breathing. So why sell me a bunch of sinus stuff? She told me to go to an animal hospital the next day for an ultrasound--and said she'd set up the appointment. When I got to the far away and high priced hospital, they hadn't gotten any of my cat's records. In order to be seen, they said I'd have to pay to have the cat go through the emergency room, which the hospital staff said seemed silly. They recommended I go back to Limehouse for the ultrasound. I called Limehouse to tell them what had happened, and they made an appointment for me to do an ultrasound with them the following week. At that ultrasound, a vet called and asked if they could do additional tests to check for lymphoma. I agreed. No one ever went over the costs of the ultrasound or other tests. They just charged my credit card that they had kept on file without my consent. Over a week went by with no information on the tests. I had to call several times to get the results, which were hard for a layperson to read. I asked the vet to call me on my cell. Instead, once again, the vet called my home number and left a long, confusing message. She shamed me for bringing the cat back to Limehouse for the ultrasound when she had sent me to a hospital. (This had all been known and approved by her staff.) She then said she no longer wanted to treat my cat, and I should take it somewhere else because I "hadn't done as [she] directed." $2,000 down the drain, a bunch of homeopathic crab that's useless, a vet that was incredibly dismissive for absolutely no reason... and still a very sick cat. read more

My Shih Tzu was just frighten, exactly that is why I requested from the beginning that sedation would be necessary, to avoid my older dog from stressing out and hurting herself while being groom. First visit to a holistic vet. I usually take my Yorkie to VCA in Westwood (THE MECCA of hospitals, with every department you need plus all the equipment & EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE.) I also use Studio City Animal Hospital, (ALSO AMAZING, CARING DOCTORS WHO LOVE YOUR ANIMALS SO MUCH.) The reason I took my Yorkie, Ollie to Limehouse, is because hospitals closed due to the virus for safety reasons, including these two. The other reason is that I wanted to get a second opinion on x-rays for his spine & trachea. I wanted to start Ollie on a natural route for some existing issues like stomach acid & arthritis. Anti-inflammatories are tough on the stomach for long term treatment, so I figured I'd go the natural route. I'm an LA native & so is my dog. & let's face it; LA is the best place to find holistic EVERYTHING. So I made an appointment with the vet & took Ollie in. They had the typical set up where you wait outside & the vet tech bring your dog in. Typical expectation for businesses to try & maintain safety measures for their staff & pet owners. The vet tech comes out about 10-15 minutes later, & I list all the issues I want checked out including the x-rays. I told them I had more x-rays to send & asked where do I send them & they've confirmed already receiving them. I mentioned I had new ones & wanted to send those, & the vet tech said she would go ask & come back. She never did. Ollie goes in for about an hour. The vet tech comes out & says the doctor confirmed Ollie has a collapsed trachea but did not see crushed discs in his back, but rather notes fused vertebrae, which happens as dogs get older. My dog is 5, so NOT OLD, but ok. The pain associated with it can be treated with natural remedies & holistic therapies, OF WHICH THEY WERE READY TO PERFORM EVERY SINGLE PROCEDURE ON HIM ON THIS VISIT, ALL AT ONCE. Mind you that's not even the kicker. The bill for all this was over $600. Let me be very clear, MONEY IS NO OBJECT FOR MY OLLIE. I worship the ground he dog walks on. He goes with me everywhere, work, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. I make him fresh food everyday. I even massage this little king. I have spent & will continue to spend every last cent on him. He's the love of my life. So for me to get a bill for over $600 for procedures that I have no clue what they are, what they will do, what they are for, is unconscionable. He was prescribed herbs & homeopathic remedies, again, which I had no clue what they were for, what they did, what they were made of. Why would I blindly opt into any of this without an explanation? So I asked the vet tech, who tried to explain everything. I decided I would do the pain injection & the meds & start there. What kind of doctor prescribes the entire arsenal of remedies all at once? How can we know which worked best, which didn't work, or which had adverse reactions? You can't. I know this because my education was in bio chem. The only way to control a response is to isolate the issue & target the problem with a single stimulus. IDENTIFY RESULTS. RECORD RESPONSE. ANALYZE FINDINGS. Not here.Their solution? Throw all the spaghetti on the wall & see what sticks. Anyone can saturate an issue with all the solutions & come out a victor. True knowledge is taking the time to analyze ALL the information & find the best fit for treatment & trying it out to see if it's a match. I don't know what they were thinking giving me a bill for $600. This is an act of desperation & greed. They prey on pet owners who don't know anything & are desperate to find answers to help their suffering pet. The fact that there were over 6 different treatments all supposed to be performed on my dog that day, was a testament to the greed this establishment runs its business model against. You cannot know if anything works when you apply many treatments at once since you cannot isolate any results. So this strategy was simply to extract the highest amount of money they could. Also I NEVER SPOKE TO THE VET. Only the vet tech. This alarmingly unprofessional & evidence of low-quality care. When I spend $100 for the visit alone, I expect to speak to a doctor, not a vet tech. I expect the doctor to explain all of the treatments & medication, to go over all the issues I raised concerns over, to show they care by making themselves present in the discussion of treatment for my pet. Especially the first consultation. This is the first impression. I do not feel this clinic made me feel welcome, cared for, or that they had my pet's best interest in mind. They never even made a follow up call on the treatment. But they sure did tell me to make that appointment for the next week for MORE TREATMENT. I had high hopes for this hospital, but I will never go back. I made an appointment for a 3rd consultation at Healing Touch in Sherman Oaks. While the first visit will cost me $250, honestly I don't care. It's not about the money. It's about the care. & this place only cares about one thing. Money. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. I loved this place in the past, I have recommended them to everyone I know in this area. Regretfully! I took my senior husky for a basic senior exam. I wanted some lumps checked out, and advice/treatment for his arthritis. I work in wolf/wolfdog rescue, and we give many of our senior animals Galliprant, so I had requested that. They asked if I'd like to have samples taken from the lumps & x-rays done - I SAID YES, ABSOLUTELY. And somehow, they ended up calling me while he was inside, saying that he "turned blue" and began to lose consciousness. They asked me if he had ever fainted or had seizures before. Literally, never. They said he turned blue because he "got anxious." This is NOT an anxious dog, mind you. I bring him everywhere, and he loves going to the vet. A vet-tech friend of mine told me that in order for a dog to turn blue in that scenario, they must be rushing things, putting undo pressure on his, or perhaps restraining him. After this happened, I tried to be calm and patient, kind. I know that things happen. In the midst of all this, I ended up agreeing to acupuncture, ozone therapy, and laser therapy . . . which I told them, I CANNOT AFFORD THIS weekly, please give us Galliprant. He was also prescribed a medication for an allergy on his nose. I left without either medication, with a $1,000.00 bill, and somehow with two probiotics. I had to go back the next day for the cream, STILL NO GALLIPRANT. I called back a week later, to inquire about the results from the x-rays and samples from the lumps, and ended up leaving a message. I will spare you the details, but someone named Candice played phone tag with me innumerable times, misunderstanding, clearly not taking notes, being horribly rude and unsympathetic, passive aggressive and gaslighting. I STILL HAVE NO RESULTS FROM THE TESTS NOR X-RAYS, and I do not believe they did either. I GOT THE GALLIPRANT YESTERDAY, my appointment as over a month ago. They apparently did not charge my partner (who picked up the Galliprant) and have called me two days in a row to get payment. When I asked why my partner wasn't charged, I was met with rudeness and belligerence. I am disgusted and incredibly hurt by this.
