Dumplings were the best thing we had

I really wanted to have a better experience here than I did 6 years ago...nope. We were one of two tables. The other table had 4 females. We watched the owner sit at that table and flirt. Kind of a bummer that he didn't care about the entire restaurant or the food that was coming out. The food was less than mediocre based on prices, but our server was great. This will be our last time dining here. Nothing was impressive, and everything was way overpriced.

One of our favorite restaurants on the island! The restaurant itself is in a romantic garden setting, and the food is so fresh and reasonably priced. We always get the mixed grill for two, it's an amazing combination of grilled meats, veggies, and seafood. Also has the brownie, which is home made by the owner, and it was phenomenal. You can't miss this restaurant!

Visited Límon's on a recent girls trip to Isla Mujures. Great experience and definitely recommend. The chef/owner Sergio stopped by our table to greet us and give us a rundown of the menu which was a very nice personal touch. The food was delicious. Our favorites include: Hibiscus egg rolls, Shrimp Soup, Coconut Shrimp, and the fish. Not pictured is the Bananas Foster which was delicious as well. Would not recommend the chicken as it was a bit dry and the mussels while tasty had a bit too much cheese, so if you order suggest requesting light cheese. Overall great experience and will be returning on my next trip to the island.

Four of us had dinner here in a Friday night only because the restaurant we were going to eat at was closed. Very nice service and location, cash only (like many of the local restaurants). The owner introduced himself and spoke about the specials and his love of cooking. Service was fast and we did not feel rushed. The eating area is small and dark...not great of you're looking for views. The food was delicious: cilantro chicken, avocado salad, caprese tower, chicken satay and mixed grill for 2....our party of four all agreed the food and service were excellent! We had already eaten at many other good restaurants in the last 7 days, this was the priciest but in our collective agreement, worth it. Our bill came to $105 US (before tip) , 3 bottled waters, one beer, a mojito and a glass of wine..

    Chicken satay - absolutely delicious!

I wasn't even hungry but I've never ate food so hungrily before.... Price is good, service is great, and chef is amazing!! On the island, this is probably considered a 5-star restaurant. Food pic: Mixed grill

Pineapple Foster and Zoey - she loved it!

Absolutely amazing experience. The food and service were both superb. The pineapple dessert was one of the best things ever. Sergio and staff were all on point in this slower night. Wish the wine list was expanded... Because my ribeye was out of this world and deserved something bigger to go with.

She was walking us a little towards the back, but since it was my first time to Isla, I wanted to people-watch, so I asked about a table up front. As soon as we headed over, I saw why she passed it - it was right next to the saxophone player! Thank goodness his volume level was perfect! Just loud enough to be heard over the crowds walking down the 'lane' out front and the restaurant diners' chatting. But not so loud that we 3 couldn't chat. We loved it! Now these two can EAT - and love to try everything on the menu, whereas I tend to eat smaller portions. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were fantastic - huge pieces of shrimp, so good! The lobster mac n cheese is so good, I would have loved to bring a big container of it home with me! The restaurant is very busy but very clean and tables are well organized for maneuvering a quick trip to the restroom before leaving. Our server, Maylen was attentive and pleasant. The bar area, facing the street, looked like a lot of fun, I'll have to try it next time!

We drove our golf cart through the area where Maria's is, and because of the reviews we saw, my friends and I decided to give this place a try for lunch. Right off the bat, the best part of eating/coming here is the view. The area is secluded and you need to go down a small path to get to it. Once you make it down the little path, you'll see a beautiful little outdoor dining area that overlooks a pool and the beautiful ocean. The food was probably a 2/5 but the view was very nice and the service was good too, so that brought the score up to 3/5. My friends and I were looking for good, authentic Mexican food, which unfortunately Maria's is not. While we were sitting down, the waiter brought us free chips and salsa which were good. For my lunch, I ordered 3 shrimp tacos which were not cheap (at all) and came with like 3 TINY shrimps per taco. The photos they have in their menu are very deceiving and inaccurate. The flavor was ok but it was so plain and so stingy on the shrimp. I was really surprised (in a bad way) with this meal. My friend tried the chicken tacos which were better than the shrimp, but still nothing special at all. The shrimp ceviche was also extremely lacking shrimp. Unfortunately I feel like the food we ate at Maria's was the same as the Mexican food I would eat at an average Mexican restaurant in my hometown in the Midwest USA. All in all, since the best thing here is the view and the service, maybe it would be better to stop by for a drink rather than a meal.
