    Creamy Pear tartan.

So happy to have stumbled upon Limone after being jet lagged on arrival to Milan. Aside from some of the best meals I've had in Milan, they also provide the best service and atmosphere. They are welcoming of all cultures and speak many languages in case your Italian is rusty. We tried several dishes including pizza margarita, pizza tartufatto, spaghetti carbonara, and a Mediterranean seafood salad. Also an unforgettable creamy pear tartan. Pizzas are thin crust neapolitan style and wood fired. Crust made from durum wheat that is allowed to rise 4 days. Incredible. Pasta carbonara is rich and creamy with tons of pancetta. Maybe too much, but is that really possible?! Perfect al dente every time. The salads are fresh and seasonal and uncomplicated. Limone serves the freshest fish in Milan. The restaurant remains one of the last in the city to acquire it first directly from the central fish market of via Lombroso, the first point of arrival for the most important catches on the Italian Mediterranean. Being able to directly inspect, touch, evaluate and negotiate the purchase of fish directly from the market is an ability developed over decades by the chef and owner of the restaurant. Excellent wine selections from all major regions of Italy at reasonable price points. The house red is a 90+ nero d'avola from Sicily. Excellent. The incredibly friendly staff took great care of us, made us feel like family, and never let us leave without shots of limoncello to cleanse the pallet. Highly recommended.

    Black risotto with salmon

Oh my god ask for the free focaccia bread basket. They brought it out to us straight out of the oven! Also complimentary biscotti sweet breads at the end sealed the deal. I got the black risotto with salmon (raw) and it was delicious! Probably the best pasta I had in Italy. My friends seafood risotto came in a clam which was beautifully plated. The best part was that our meal was only 35 euros. Such a steal!

I stumbled upon this restaurant without any prior research and I enjoyed my dinner. I wouldn't go as far as five stars because at this price point, and with this type of mahogany-infused ambiance, you always feel that more is warranted. But great experience nonetheless. The complimentary bread basket also includes "grissini" (loosely translated as breadsticks, originally from Turin) and "taralli" (this time, typical from Southern Italy), and while you're reading the menu and munching on your necessary dose of carbs, another complimentary dish of freshly baked focaccia magical appears at your table. Now, you don't want to skip that. My appetizer was out of the "daily specials", an interesting if not daring combination of grilled octopus, porcini mushroom over a bed of mashed potatoes. It looked great, it tasted delicious, but it was hardly a starter, while I was looking for something lighter. The orata (bream) with "crunchy zucchini" (misnomer for fried courgettes) was on point, already de-boned and nicely arranged on the dish. Five stars for service, the waiter was genuinely nice and came over to check if everything was alright without being overbearing. Even after the check I was offered some mandarins for the wait (producing the bill is always a time-consuming ordeal in Italy), and some Limoncello as a night cap. It's not the pleasure of being "extra", I honestly felt the guy was making sure my dinner was memorable and ended on the right note. At Limone you feel like a regular, even at your first try. They accept Amex and the food selection is quite interesting (fish and meat), although without many truly light options for my taste. But tasty it is.

First time here as friend told me this is traditional Italian style restaurant. Vintage feeling and food tasted a bit salty including tomato soup, bread, seabass & even pizza... Don't know why that salty but overall my comment of this restaurant is fair. Funny that during my dinner time there around 2 hours, they broke 3 glass cup already & few staffs got argument

Seafood risotto. Is delicious. I come 2 Milan 2x per year and this is a must to stop. Best pizza in Italy.

Went the 1st time years ago for real Italian pizza. Delicious and thin crust. Just how I like it. Also they have a full menu specializing in seafood. Can compete with any 5 star restaurant for food quality. Would highly recommend. Near Sheraton 4 points.

    Best lasagne ever!

Also, there was a bit of a weight when we got there, but it actually grew to almost a dozen people. They see people quickly so the turnover is pretty fast and you don't wait long. Since I was concerned about limited menu, those fears were allayed when the Waiter takes your order - he lets you know about the four or five other ones that are not on the menu that are all sounding great So we picked 'chef special' (they pick for you) and a white pizza. The service was pretty quick, and the pizza comes out right away Obviously with such high turnover, they have figured out the formula for delicious pizza. They nailed the crust as well as all the ingredients. Really delicious. The toilet facilities definitely need a lot of help. That was my only real comment about the atmosphere. It's very basic, you sit at basic tables. They seemed to all be helpful

The chef's surprise was a salami and burrata pizza, and it was top notch. We also had the Delicata Bianca, which was beautifully balanced. Nikola/Nichola was absolutely fantastic: super attentive, friendly, and radiated joy. I also found out he was a fellow Sri Lankan, and we had a good laugh about it. The folks sitting next to us were also super friendly, so we had a great time all around. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Milan :)

Seated very quickly, nice clean restaurant and nice waiters although language barrier made ordering a bit clunky. My wife got the ravioli while my friend and I got the bolognese lasagna. My wife said the ravioli was good not great and our lasagna was very tasty but room temperature. I like my food hot. The other person at our table got salmon and it was way overcooked and very tough. Not sure why our other party got Salmon at an Italian restaurant in Italy but to each his own. If you want a glass of wine you only have two choices, white wine and red wine. No other available. This is probably because the restaurant doesn't carry large inventories of wine due to their small size and cost. Overall no way is this above an average restaurant. It's just okay. Heat up your lasagna better, teach your chef how to cook Salmon and expand your glasses of wine selections.

I would recommend making a reservation during prime hours and sitting outside if they have space there. The pizzas are the thin crust Roman style and very solid - the classic Margherita is the one to get as the execution is fantastic. You get the flavor of a NYC slice made with better ingredients and with a great thin crust. This reminds me of Marta in NYC which closed during COVID. The classic entrees are made in the comfort food style - solid flavors, generous portions, and good ingredients. Be sure to try the costelleta or ossobucco. The cutlet is perfectly tender with a crispy crust served with fantastic roasted potatoes. The ossobucco itself is just okay but the risotto is very satisfying especially with the bone marrow.
