Army Stew(부대찌개)

Wow! My boyfriend and I came here around 10pm on a cold Saturday night and were amazed by how amazing everything was! The space is extremely clean and nice with lots of open space. The food was incredible! Great authentic Korean street food with so much flavor and freshness, we couldn't stop talking about how pleasantly surprised we were! Our waitress was so sweet and even wrote a handwritten note at the end of the meal with some free chocopie for dessert :). Will 100% be back and recommend it to everyone.

On a recent trip to Queens to pick up some artwork and visit the Louis Armstrong Museum (yes it really is in Corona Queens and amazing) we stopped at Lims. It wasn't very busy so service was fine. You actually order from an iPad on table, the waitress confirms and next thing you know you have delicious food. I had pork GimBap and kimchi. Both well made and tasty. My wife had a vegetable rice noodle dish that was truly phenomenal. My Japanese Kagua Rouge Belgian Strong Dark ale was a perfect malty foil to the Korean food. On the way out our waitress thanked us for coming and gave us whoopee pies with thank you notes attached.....a nice touch

Incredible service & ambiance. The Kimchi Stew was delicious and hit the spot in a rainy day. Grateful for this little gem in the neighborhood. Definitely will come back to try more stuff on the menu.

Amazing meal for a late night food delivery post flight. Super hearty soups and comes with good radish kimchi, white rice, and comes super quickly! Also packaged super nicely! If you have any late night cravings for Korean food, this is the go to

The chicken was good as well as the bulgogi kimbap. It was nice and quiet because they're still renovating. We didn't know it was takeout only. But the server cleaned up one table so we could sit. It was so fulfilling, we got enough chicken to bring home to snack on later.

Food was amazinggg!! Our server was also very attentive and nice! Had a great time :3 They gave us chocopie complimentary too!

This place is amazing. I wish they had one in Brooklyn. Their gimbap is best in NY and my best friend is Korean and very picky and she agrees. I always order way more to eat later because it's so addictive. Well done. Hopefully they make the bar cool and hospitable so more people dine in.

Was craving Kim Bap and luckily that's Lim's kitchen's specialty! I went all out and shared the vegan and kimchi kimbap with my wife while I got the bulgogi. Only time I've really had kimbap is in California where it's more plentiful and this definitely hit the spot! It was tasty and a solid portion size. Love the punch of the radish. Ordered the boneless fried chicken too which was good but texturally, I think it could benefit from being white instead of dark meat. Fairly priced and I love that they deliver to the UES. Will definitely order delivery again when in the mood for Korean comfort food!

My go to is a couple of Kimbaps and a spicy soup to help it all go down. One of my favorite places to get delivery

I ordered three items and only received two today. I tried calling the restaurant multiple times and DoorDash and no one responded.

Came here with a friend to catch up and the food here was great!…read more The Marinated short ribs were delicious and so was the army strew. The army stew was not only flavorful but also had a bunch of toppings inside. The servers were super attentive and even asked us if we wanted our hot pot to be reheated once it sat for a while as we chatted. That being said, I do want to point out that I believe this place is more suited for a bigger group of people. My friend and I enjoyed everything about the meal however, the hot pot was huge and we finished only like 1/4 of it and ordering the meats was a little weird. I am use to going to KBBQ where they tell me that the minimum meat orders is 2 but here, you must at least have two orders of any meat you choose. We both wanted the marinated short ribs with pork belly but ended up with two orders of the marinated short ribs because we were more in the mood for something marinated. Now, this is just a preference of ours but in case you want more of a variety of foods, I would recommend coming here with a bigger group of friends and grabbing a few drinks as well!

The service there was also attentive, pleasant and friendly and many thanks to my server named Jeong to get my meal. I couldn't agree more about it. Heat wasn't even on when we went & it was 13 degrees. At 1st, she said the heat wasn't working. Then she said the heat was only covering the back of the restaurant. Some of the food is good tho. For banchan: 1) 3/5 odeng- standard 2) 2/5 mixed veggies: mostly broccoli, 1 cauliflower floret, 1 carrot slice. This was bland & cauliflower overcooked. 3) 3/5 kimchi- standard 4) 4/5 potato kimchi- This was different. We all liked it. Spicy, sweet, savory. Great mix of well-balanced flavors. 5) 3/5 bok choy kimchi- decent Main course: 1) 3/5 sundubu jjigae- It was decent, not as good as Mapo bbq. The broth cuda been denser, with more flavor. The complexity of flavors was lacking. 2) 2/5 oyster jeon- I fail to understand why Keon is so bland. The soy sauce served with it was so salty. This is why we requested another sauce. 3) 5/5 bibim naengmyeon- We had to ask for mustard & vinegar. This was surprisingly mild. It was perfectly spiced for me. This was my fave dish. If I ever go back, I'd def get this. 4) 2/5 soy garlic wings- This was just salty. Didn't taste the garlic. Lacked flavor besides salt. 5) 3/5 Korean style wings- sweet & hella spicy

Oh, what an experience--if your idea of fine dining is paying somewhat premium prices for…read moreaggressively underwhelming food. Let's start with the soup. Calling it a "soup" feels generous. What arrived was a half-cup of what I can only describe as lightly flavored hot water, bravely tinted to resemble broth. No vegetables, no texture, no effort--just a cloudy liquid that seemed to apologize for its own existence. Then came the main course, which somehow managed to lower expectations even further. The beef--if that's what it was--had the remarkable quality of tasting like absolutely nothing. Not bad, not good... just absent. It's almost impressive how something can be cooked, plated, and served while completely avoiding flavor. The side dishes? Minimal. The sauce? A tiny smear, presumably symbolic. You get a masterclass in how to charge restaurant prices for cafeteria-level disappointment. This isn't just a place I won't return to--I'd actively warn friends to steer clear unless they're curious what culinary emptiness feels like. There are far better ways to spend your money, including not spending it here.

The place is quaint, small enough for 4-person groups or date nights, but not made for large parties. It's the kind of casual spot perfect for a random drop in or a takeout order. The menu range is impressive. The food skews from pocha style pub food to Korean Chinese to traditional classics that shouldn't be missed. There are lunch specials and combinations, along with random misspellings ("bahn mi", "buger" etc.) that have become commonplace with many of these menus. The Korean fried chicken (soy garlic) is an easy go-to as is the bulgolgi burger, which is a pricey guilty pleasure. I appreciate their inclusion of (various!) jajangmyeon and tangsoo yuk, both famous from their Korean Chinese roots. Though the portions could be more substantial, I dig their jiggae lineup of kimchi, seafood, and budaejiggae. They've also got pajun, mansion, ramyun and naengmyeon as well. The variety is definitely in point. Service has been solid during all of my experiences. They're good about explaining the menu and are attentive throughout the meal. ____________ (#1) Manhattan or Flushing.
