I went on a month trip to Europe but one of the employees told me they would hold onto them. The dude was nice who cut my hair but he didn't listen to anything I had to say and just cut it. I asked him to keep the length of my beard but clean it up around the neck and face, he trimmed my beard down to a 1. I asked him to part my hair on the top, he just cut it straight. Honestly he seemed to be in a hurry to get to his next customer. I even showed him a picture of what I wanted, he said that looks good, then gave me nothing like the picture I showed. A nice old fashioned barber shop. I walked in and was killling time for my sons class. Got a nice cut and got lined up.

These guys rock. Traditional barbershop that's really versed in modern style street cred. All my boys get their hair cut here, and I've never had an issue. There are about 10 barber chairs here, and all are served on a first-come basis. I like that the place is spacious and no frills, so there's no sense of claustrophobia. Absolutely can't complain about the value for money. Haircuts are $25, though seniors get them for $17, and children 12 and under get them for $20. They also do hot shaved and goatees. You won't find a better value with style ability anywhere else in the neighborhood. The only issue is parking on busy days. I usually come around 530pm, when people are headed home, and before the dinner crowd comes out, so have always been luck to find spots. read more

I went in wits a large curly hairdue asking for a light trim. the guy spoke no English and after showing him various photos and videos he says "so like a messy bowl cut?" I told him NO it's not a bowl cut and too just keep everything and just make it short and even. he proceeds to give me the most Hispanic size bowl cut that looks nothing like the photos. I told him I did not want to pay $40 ( originally 30) for a haircut I didn't ask for and every employee began gaslighting me into believing it was the same as the photo. read more

They're very friendly and chill but as a guy who knows who to legit cut his own hair I was annoyed that the barber that cut my hair didnt know what a 5 was and ended up cutting my top wayyy too short. Although, the barber did do a good fade though. Bear in mind, I'm very critical in general, and I'm only writing this to add a perspective and not my intention to be negative . I've been coming here for years, and I never had a bad experience until today. Dennis was my go-to guy for haircuts, and sadly he passed away. But I've continued being a customer at this location. I walked in today, and David Reyes cut my hair. I never met him before. I didn't think anything of it since the barbers here usually do a good job. David was horrible. I went home after getting my hair cut and noticed the back of my neck was burning. I looked in the mirror and saw a lot of cuts and scars all around my neck! I've never experienced such unprofessionalism at a barbershop! This man scarred my neck, and I can't believe he works here, especially during this time of COVID 19; who knows what infections I may have received from these cuts. This is seriously below the standard of care and basic health standards. I will be reporting this incident because no one should have to experience this level of negligence and carelessness. Even the haircut was terrible; the hair on my sides is uneven. I do hope the manager reads this. Please be warned, do not let David cut your hair. I don't know how long he's been there, but he should no longer be working there. For an establishment in Santa Monica, I expected much better care for customers.
