My friend and I had booked another local place to get some work done, but the artist was acting weird, so we looked around at other options. I am so glad we did! The person who answered the phone was amazing at finding next-day availability for my friend and I to both get work done. Once we described the piece I wanted, he pointed me in the direction of Jordan. This is my 11th piece, and I'm not exaggerating when I saw that Jordan was one of the nicest, funniest, and most thoughtful artists I've ever worked with. He worked on several iterations of the piece, never acting disgruntled or impatient. And when I had some weird half-formed ideas about the colors and internal patterns, he seemed to pluck my thoughts out and turn them effortlessly into exactly what I wanted! Also, he had a light, precise touch with the pen, even over the bone and near my armpit. It's only been a week and I'm nearly healed up. Throughout the entire visit, he was calm, funny, and not at all thrown by the incredibly random and way too tmi conversation my friend and I were having. Right after I got my tattoo, the card number on my bank account and my PIN were stolen by fraudsters who took nearly 1000.00 out of my account over a period of 10 days. I don't use that card very much, so it took me a while to notice. So make sure you PAY CASH at this business. It is not secure and apparently, their VISA is hacked. Sucks. read more

Absolutely shit. Do not waste your money. Was there yesterday with my daughter to get a small tattoo. We gave a chosen design for the small tattoo. (Dimensions - see photo attached) The tattoo took 20 min. With set up 30min. The artist and front receptionist never told us how much it would be. They avoided it on purpose in order to get the most out of us. Super shady motivation. By doing this and not including the price on the waiver like the form says at the bottom, they leave it open to ask any price they want at the end of the session. Cause once it's done, what can you do? Nothing. They knew that if they didn't tell me how much, or that it was going to cost $500 we would have walked right out the door! When I asked the artist at the end of the session how much he said $500. This was such a shock I didn't believe what I heard and had to ask again. A completely motivated shady way to do business. Never seen anything like it. Even $100 for the less than an hour is a little high. Do your tattoo business with a better place.... any other tattoo place this would be $100. A place that does this kind of bs while the economy is already hurting every one is nasty. I checked this out today by calling and asking around that area to see if it was location simply cut throat deceiving folks that are looking to overcharge at any opportunity. They shouldn't even get 1 star. Worst tattooing experience in over 20 years of getting tattoes I have a few tattoos and have never been so overcharged in my life! (They also have a sign on the building that says 12 monkey tattoo - not "The Lincoln Tattoo Company". They do this probably also to avoid bad reviews! read more

My service review is specifically based on the artist Saul. I have worked with him before on another piece and he did a great job. This time when he put lyrics on me he messed up the lettering and I'm paying a hefty price to get it removed. I didn't even want to write a negative review because I know things happen, we are humans, but after the fact I had asked if he would refund me some money (we noticed the mistake RIGHT after I had paid) and he said he gladly would. I could tell he felt bad. Well he never actually refunded me any money and I even texted him a second time - he just ghosted me. I tipped him $100 - he could at least return that. So now my $300 tattoo costs $2100 because of the cost of removal. Mostly I'm just sad. I really didn't want a negative association with a tattoo about my father but when I think about it I feel really bummed. Accidents happen but people suck when they don't take any responsibility. read more

I learned about Lincoln Tattoo Company through my artist, Mike Patriarca and I'm so happy! The first detail I noticed about the shop are the black and white photographs adorning the walls of artists: Estevan Oriol and a portrait of Chaz Bojorquez. I encourage to learn about these artists if you are not familiar as they are huge influences in Los Angeles' community and culture. This detail for me, set a good vibe and impression. In the week leading up to the appointment I sent him some pictures of roses so he could get an idea of what I wanted and he sent me a rough drawing of what it would look like before I came in, super helpful. I really wanted this to have that realistic and delicate look and I requested him because his style is a bit more subtle and less heavy-handed. All of the artists are both friendly and very talented. My last tattoo with CJ was great all around. I went in with pretty much no idea what I wanted, and walked out with one of my coolest, cleanest tattoos to date. It healed beautifully, and still looks crisp and vibrant. Really nice humans, highly skilled staff--I would trust any of the people at LTC to make sure you leave happily inked and proud to show it off. With that, I've been wanting to get back in there... Basically, this place rocks. First of all, has its own parking lot-stoked. Then you walk into the place and are greeted with a refreshing down-to-earth kindness. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon without an appointment and got set up with CJ within the hour. And I honestly didn't mind the wait, I went and grabbed a cocktail at The Lincoln just a few doors down in the meantime. When CJ was sketching the art that would soon be on my body, he took his time and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. He was incredibly attentive throughout the whole process.
