I had been wanting to get my mom's signature tattooed and since it's a very meaningful tattoo for me I was hesitant to try just anyone. I found this place on yelp, and was helped by Richard! He was very professional and without me even saying anything he knew how much the tattoo meant to me and made sure the tattoo and signature match perfectly. Every stroke and every curve was exact.. Came here to get my nosed pierced with my cousin and I was scared heard the nose piercings hurt really bad but the piercer he was really cool af at first I was complaining and he was like you will be fine. So I sat down and had my cousin hold my hand. The guy did his prep told me to breathe in then out and boom it was done I felt nothing!!!!!! The easiest piercing i ever had. I was like WTF is it in I felt nothing lol and he was like yea your done it bled a little and after that I had no problems. I had a great experience I def recommend them. read more

I dropped in to match my daughters' names. I was tattooed from 5 years ago on the other arm. My youngest daughter is turning 4 and learning to read. I wanted her name on my body, too, at least around her 4th birthday. They took us within an hour. Reasonably priced! In fact, the last artist didn't match the font and wanted 100 more. This place is super amazing! We came for a few piercings and they fit us in same day for an appointment. Recommend calling first! Everything was clean and they were following covid protocol. So if you're worried about that, don't! Everything is clean and professional. They take your temp before. I got my Tragus and nipple pierced. Super smooth and easy. Michael was great professional and talked me through everything. Highly recommend this place! read more

Professionals served by "real" people. Myke owns the place and treats you with courtesy and respect. We took our teenage son to get a couple of piercings. Although a pretty straightforward process, you will find that they are thorough given the COVID protocols. Since we are from D.C., we chose Ocean Front Tattoo because of the reviews on Yelp. Stopped by Saturday right as they opened and I definitely lucked out. I had one minor tattoo before this piece so was definitely a little hesitant. Three of the artists came right up and made the process as smooth as possible. Worked with Retroe and he brought up multiple designs/sketches based on the general ideas I had. After deciding on the dope design Retroe put together, he spent a solid 8-9 hours on my arm and to say the final product was epic would be an understatement. The detail of this tattoo is just incredible and people have just been complimenting it left and right. Just really impressed on the level of talent and professionalism Retroe demonstrated and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I just wanted to say that when my daughter asked me to please allow her to get a tattoe. I told her when she turned 18, so now when she is 18 she said I really want to go get a tattoe from a place that is reputable, clean, and most importantly someone that knows what there doing. Super friendly, great work. Take walk/ins but best to call ahead of time in case it's busy. Right along the boardwalk of Venice so can get busy. My husband got his first tattoo here by JoSe, $220,on his right wrist ,4 hours and my portrait to the T!!,well he is no longer there ,he got married now he lives in Korea/china something like that. Time for some ink ,but not sure who to go to now I need a cover up, and some qoutes on me , nose pierce and tongue pierce .yes wild and free.. I checked this place out last week with my gf, she got her septum pierced with Myke. He did a pretty good job considering she hates needles. The price was fair, the shop was clean..Myke said they just re-opened under new management, and we would def recommend this shop to others. Go check it out. Oh by the way i think the reason we gave them the 5 star review was because they are the only shop we know of on the beach that has its own FREE parking. That alone saved me $15 bucks and hours of time searching the area for parking.. read more

Came to Venice to get an estimate for a piece I wanted, came out with a tattoo the same day! Last time I was here was 4 years ago, and I was hesitant bc I was bummed to find a completely new shop and my artist that I used to see when it was All Star Tattoo wasn't there anymore...but I got paired up with Israel and his work is amazing. He's really nice and listens to what you want to do, but also will offer ideas to make your tatt pop. This time it was a small piece but i can't wait to see what he'll do with the bigger one I'm getting next month! I have never had such a great tattoo experience! My cousin and I just stopped in and decided to get tattoos on a whim (I know, I know). We got so lucky with this place and so lucky that Mikey was the one to help us. He was super engaged and so willing to help us through our design ideas. We got everything nailed down and perfect before actually starting the process. Not once did I feel like he was annoyed or we were being too picky. He listened to my concerns about sanitation and showed us each time he opened a new needle. Each tattoo took about an hour each. He talked to us through the whole thing and was just all around super awesome to work with. The tattoos turned out AMAZING! The line work is so delicate and precise and the shading is perfect. Both of us are beyond happy and are so excited to show them off when they heal. I wish I lived in the area, because I would go back to him for all my future work. My girlfriend and I had been talking about getting tattoos for a few days, and made a trip out to Venice Beach to come take a look. Very clean and professional looking on the inside with portfolios available for you to take a look at on the counter, and plenty of tattoo artists to talk to. We already had what we wanted printed out so they could make a stencil out of it, and Israele gave us a quick estimate, which wasn't a bad price at all, and we paid and filled out some quick paperwork before getting started. My tattoo artist was Israele -- and he was great. Very professional, and answered the hundreds of questions I had for him during the preparation. As this was my first tattoo, I was pretty nervous. He explained what it would feel like and that I had nothing to worry about, and he was right! It stings a bit, but he was great and did a wonderful job bringing my simple idea to life. I have been to the shop three times with three different artists for tattoos on my arm. Mikey, Steelo and Retroe. All three I would recommend for their clean lines, beautiful shading and professional demeanor. Though I was born and raised in Venice, I no longer live in the area..so when I am in town to visit my parents, I swing by when ready for a new tattoo. Will definitely be back for more! I'm sure they do good work and maybe this was a one off, but this was my experience…read more Popped in today 5/24/2026 around 3 pm to replace a lost 16 gauge segment/seemless/clicker ring for recently pierced upper/2nd lobe. The person assigned to assist me (I don't recall names/faces well) put the new segment/seemless/clicker ring in the lower lobe/1st instead of the upper/2nd lobe spot. I don't now how they missed the 2nd lobe because I had a light blue plastic place holder in the 2nd lobe so it wouldn't close up, we talked about it to confirm which one it was, and they saw me take the blue plastic out. Yes, I should have asked for a mirror once they finished to confirm they did it correctly but I trusted they knew what they were doing. I didn't notice, my friend pointed it out a bit after I left the shop, my friend moved it into the correct spot for me. Customer service was normal when I first went in but I didn't feel like driving back, finding parking, and blah blah blah over this. Think this was the breakdown, they didn't provide a receipt and I paid cash. Cost was $30 for the sterilized segment ring, $5 for the service, and I gave a $5 tip.

I don't know if I'm being too sensitive, but I actually feel like it was racial that I wasn't offered any options. I absolutely will not ever in my life come to this establishment for anything. I felt it was very unprofessional and rude or she doesn't know customer service and the skill of attaining new customers.

Awesome vibe inside with circular lights above the stations and windows letting in natural light. I had Niki, she was very friendly (I really enjoyed our conversation about the local Latin dance scene) and light handed and helped me get the dragon tattoo inked on permanently. I didn't think it hurt at all and the healing was quick & dry. No blood or plasma pooling under the tape. I feel complete.

That location has temporarily closed down their piercing studio and the only one with a piercing professional was this Venice location. They have a post-piercing follow-up service to change out the post to a shorter one 6-8 weeks after you had your piercing. Parking - OMG. Impossible as it's street parking. Give yourself 30-40 mins minimum to find a spot!! Store - it's located at the edge of the main Abbott Kinney rows of stores. Clean, bright, lots of employees helping customers. It's Valentine's Day so it's busy busy! Piercing Studio - Marley was FANTASTIC! I was late to my appt by an hour - traffic horrific & parking horrendous. However, Marley gave up her lunch break to accommodate me. She explained clearly what she was going to do at this follow-up. It was to replace the flat back to a shorter one since it's healing well. It took less than 3 mins & no pain or tugging. Marley told me The Americana location is hiring a new piercing professional & Piercing Studio will reopen ver soon! Overall, I would recommend any Mejuri location as customer service is top notch! Their jewelry is modern & has clean, crisp look to them. Not that affordable but they do have some pieces that even I can afford. LOL!

I chose Studs because they offer flat-back screw for their earrings and use piercing needles manually instead of a piercing device. So the healing is better comparing to using a piercing gun. Another time, I went in to get downsize, and the young woman said she'd only give it to me for free based on when I got pierced, but that she'd need to make a note otherwise the manager would go "what the hell", and she said this as if it were a huge inconvenience and my fault. A snobby and condescending attitude. I don't feel comfortable going back, seems like they just want your money. Not friendly or cordial, clearly just want to sell things.

I have one that is 7(ish) years old, and it was bugging me for the last week, so I went to Talk to Donovan about removing it. After giving it a check out, he told me not to remove it, why, and how to save it. Three days later, it's feeling so much better! He was really professional, polite, ad knowledgeable. I will definitely go to him for my next piercing.

He said that he'll order it in my size. I told him, If not I'll take the extra large whatever it doesn't matter. But what he did. It was take over $100 from me and never gave me my jacket and when I went to go ask for my jacket, they acted like they didn't even know who I was and that's not including the tip that I gave him because I gave him a pretty nice tip. I even have a bank statement I can pull up!
