I was literally in the treatment room being numbed before the first session and a man from the front desk came in to upsell me on an additional package of 3. For the treatment itself, I expected pain akin to tattoo shading on a sensitive area - this was so much worse. The nurse assured me it was fine. Afterwards I was incredibly swollen and had deep grid marks from the device. This continued well beyond their aftercare timeline, and I contacted LaserAway by email and phone. It took nearly a week for anyone to get back to me. By then I had already gone to an actual dermatologist and was put on a steroid cream to help heal the damage and prevent scaring. I learned that the settings used on the device were way too aggressive. My skin remained inflamed for weeks, and over a year later I still have grid mark texture all over my face, neck and chest & have lost significant volume in my fat pads around my eyes, lips and cheeks. Getting anyone on the phone to resolve this felt impossible by design - eventually I got a hold of the sales rep who sold me in initially, and explained that I had a horrible outcome and cannot continue. They changed my remaining pre-paid package value to laser hair removal, which felt low risk enough. Of the 8 sessions of laser hair removal I had, my appointments were changed 4 separate times, often same day. In the end, all 8 sessions combined weren't nearly as effective as the laser hair removal I've had done elsewhere with fewer sessions. Still, the woman at the front desk made sure to ask if I needed to purchase another package before I exited my last appointment - and unsurprisingly, there happened to be a special limited time promo. I'm left with skin damage, a lot of wasted time & money, and deeply ashamed that I fell for the gimmick in the first place. If you're considering LaserAway, especially for advanced facial treatments, please get a consult & quote from a cosmetic dermatologist first.

On top of that, I wasn't allowed to use the bathroom in the office, despite seeing her use it herself. I came in ready to continue investing in my care, but I will not continue to be treated with such disregard. My previous dermatologist in Beverly Hills was far more thorough and respectful, and I'll be returning to that standard of care.

He is the friendliest and most adorable man and a complete skin genius and wizard! Even though he does a lot of cosmetic high end dermatology and his office looks like a million bucks, he's one of the rare LA premium dermatologists that also does medical dermatology which is what I saw him for. Acne and Eczema. The latter of which can be hard to treat. I also messed myself up with a stupid at home micro-needle and he fixed me right up and didn't make me feel like a jerk! But what I am most thankful for is his care for my husband (at the time) who is very fair and works outside quite a bit. He caught three!! melanomas before they became serious. Two of which were on the face. We were worried that his face would have scars but you can't tell anything ever happened. That's how talented he is!! Before Dr B, my husband had a melanoma on his back and the dermatologist we had at the time dug it out like he was scooping freezing ice cream! There was a huge scar and indentation. So it matters a lot how skilled your Derm is at both the medical aspects and the cosmetic ones. To quote him, "I've never lost a patient to skin cancer!" Thank the heavens!! It was a relief that all we had to do was make sure my hub went every six months for his skin check with Dr B to remain melanoma free. Peace of mind, priceless! I also had a painful skin problem that was chronic and in a sensitive area that's the domain of the lady doctor. My GYN tried everything and he's also a fabulous doctor. But I was in so much pain and so frustrated because we couldn't figure out what it was and I just couldn't live with no diagnosis. Even though this area isn't the area of the dermatologist to take care of, I told Dr B about it and how desperate I was. He said if I was comfortable, he would look at it (along with a female nurse present) and I said please do. Well, he solved it! It was it eczema- the worst! And he solved it. Cured! I had been dealing with that for at least two years and finally he resolved it. No more pain, no more frustration! Not many doctors would be willing to do that, but he did, because he's a badass and a wonderful person! As soon as I get a PPO, I'm running back to him! I believe his office has some parking in the back too. There's a CVS down just down the road and lots of cafes walking distance just up the block if you need a good cup of coffee. Just be careful parallel parking around there because you don't want to dent a G Wagon or a Bentley lol. Hey, maybe you drive one! Smoke 'em if you got 'em!

I was late today so i had to wait too long to be seen, they were busy (i understood) so i rescheduled because my mother drove me and was waiting in her car with her dog and it was just too hot. when the girl wiped the numbing cream off my brows, it was painful- she pressed so hard that she ripped my transplant hairs out and the site is bleeding. i am still in shock. The area was hurting since i left but i didnt look at it until i got home as we had some errands to run. As soon as i saw the transplant had been ripped out and on my left brow , the site was bleeding, i called immediately to cancel my rescheduled appt . I also told the lady on the phone what happened and she gasped and said "oh no , i am so sorry ". I appreciate that but it wasn't her fault. Id like an apology from the actual girl that hurt me and an acknowledgement of her mistake. I messaged them on instagram and they keep saying she applied gentle pressure and worked there many years. I can guarantee you , it was anything but gentle and the picture shows where the hair is missing and where i was bleeding. I really did like this place and referred a couple friends. I just wanted to share this experience because this type of unprofessional behavior is not acceptable. Mistakes happen! But when they do, accountability is everything without it, trust is broken. Im a very patient, tolerant and understanding person and i deserve an apology from her. I wont be returning. I feel so depressed.
