So the third time indeed is the charm! I learned that after two rejected third lobe piercings that my lobes don't seem to appreciate being pierced. But after the third time piercing 'em, at Heartless Tattoos, with the fabulous Miss Dezz DeVille, my ears finally accepted their fate. Clean, cute, professional, and welcoming, the shop, located on the top floor of a street-facing storefront on the westside, will now be my official new trusted piercing establishment. Not only is Dezz talented, but her shop features a wide array of jewelry to decorate your new piercing. This review is mainly for their piercer, Dezz. I have had tattoos on three separate occasions over the last two years and they were all great. However, the piercer lists walk in hours and every time I show up she is NEVER there on time. It's always some excuse about how she's "on the way" and will "be there soon" but by soon they mean 45 minutes . Today was their Friday the 13th special that was advertised to start at 11am and early arrival was suggested. My friend and I got in line at 10am and were pretty close to the front. They began accepting tattoos on time but of course the piercer was behind schedule and didn't even start taking piercings until 11:50am. They also made us give up our spot in the tattoo line only to find out FOUR HOURS LATER that people were being allowed to get piercings in that very same line. We could've been in and out within the first hour but the person running the line was not following the same rules upstairs. They really should have hired additional piercers for this day the same way they do for tattoo artists or they could have given our numbers and had people return to help with crowd control! Not to mention, their ad on Instagram explicitly states that everyone in line will be tended to and then they change their mind and say there's a limit and to come back some other day. It's not their first rodeo so how they keep making the same rookie mistakes is beyond me. Bottom line: as cool as the art is, it will never make up for the lack of professionalism, planning and consideration of their clients experience. read more

I went in for service June of last year. I was really excited as it was going to be my first color tattoo, a small piece less than my hand size for 400 with a 100 deposit when going in and speaking to the tattoo artist Yher I asked if my 400+100 deposit would cover any touchups that were needed after my tattoo had healed which she stated "yes" so after my tattoo was done and I noticed some patchy areas I reached out for a touch up 3-4 weeks after my tattoo was done showing her how patchy my moon was she stated that it would be done and asked for more pictures. She wanted a picture of the tattoo in sunlight so I provided a tattoo picture in sun light with the flash so she could see how it was patchy. It wasn't picking up in camera with the sun light and flash as much it patchiness was still noticeable in my opinion. Not as noticeable as it was in person and I stated that to her she never reached out to me even after me constantly reaching out to her she just ignored me . I am unhappy I have to see a jacked up tattoo everyday. I walked in and she was not there so I spoke to Kevin her tattoo shop manager who stated that per her order the retouch she had originally agreed to would be an extra payment of $250 that I would have to book with deposit upfront when she touched up my friend's tattoo for no extra charge and she scheduled him in when his tattoo looked the same in pictures.She never asked for me to come in person to show her my tattoo she went off pictures. The sun picture, And to this day has yet to see my tattoo even after me going in trying to find her. It is now a hollow moon as the ink didn't take from the tram-a from the outlines. This rule of it's up to me if you get a touch up was never stated and it sucks that she went off a picture where she knew the sun would alter how patchy the tattoo looked on camera. This is on my skin permanently, it should be something that your client should be happy with not disappointed with. I'm now looking for a a tattoo artist who can fix this mess and actually listen to the clients needs and want into consideration instead of trying to profit or just ignoring a person after reaching out. *************************************** Following up Yher wasn't able to find me from all the mail that she receives but was able to find me in minutes after my review to block me off her page and heartless tattoo. She determined for the 3rd time off the same picture that was sent in when I was ignored. You never asked to see my tattoo as you stated you asked for my name to let YHER know you did walk over to my friend who was sitting next to me and asked to see his tattoo and proceeded to take pictures of his tattoo. My friend even had the picture he took of it on his phone but a picture of my tattoo was never asked for that is false information. You agreed to my friends touch up within 2 weeks of it being done not once it was fully healed as you stated which was also weird to me how you kept pushing me off. Never once asked for a follow up picture or to go in person even after sending you pictures of how the moon looked and you replying that she didn't see those pictures how would she left me on read. Still after that she did not budge from having me pay. It wasn't that I came and did my review after she said no I tried to come to an agreement and reminded you multiple times how she stated touch ups were included and when realizing we would not come to an agreement I proceeded to do my review. We spoke for 1-2hrs after I showed you the hallowed moon which is also (false that she agreed right after seeing that moon as shown on the pictures) she would not budge from having me pay extra for retouch. I made a review and 2 hours later she determine that I could get a touch up on my moon ? No I strongly believe it was do to the review I should not have to be chasing after YHER for 8 months for her to see the error on my thigh. I had gone in gotten work done by other artists. At the shop my only bad experience at heartless tattoo was with this. As I stated when you said she agreed to do the retouch at that point I no longer felt comfortable with YHER working on my skin. As she was not agreeing to make me happy as a client but just because of the review. Seeing as YHER blocked me from her personal and heartless tattoos page as my review didn't sit right with her, just confirmed my beliefs that she only agreed to it after the review. This policy of retouch at artists discretion needs to be stated before hand as I was never told not verbally and it was not in the consent forms I signed when I asked her if touchups are included she said "yes" nothing more nothing less. If YHER would have said the "policy" you have that was just brought up to me in the text I would've said no. Because it's on my skin, not anyone else's. I did not like how this was handled it seemed very unprofessional. read more

Hands down this one of the best tattoo shops I've ever been to! It's a WOC tattoo shop (makes it even cooler) today was my first time going, as soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very nice guy named Kevin who checked me in right away he was really helpful answering all my questions. All the employees there have great customer service. The shop itself is very beautiful, a lot of amazing artwork on the walls & cute designs for everyone to look at. I recently stumbled upon this shop during the Friday the 13th flash tattoo event. The line was crazy long but filled with some of the most amazing women I've ever met. Even walked away with some friends! The staff worked their butts off to accommodate and help every single person that came out. I was finally assigned to a tattoo artist Jenni who blew me away with her magical personality and line work. I fell in love with my tattoo instantly. I'm sure this place is great for tattoos, but I went here a few days ago for a nipple piercing and didn't have a good experience. It didn't seem like they had a dedicated place for piercings or maybe they just don't do nipple piercings often bc the piercer, Dezz, didn't seem to know whether to put me in a chair or not, then she placed dots on me where the piercing should go and I approved it. After she pierced me, I looked down and the piercing wasn't at the base of the nipple like it should be - it was closer to the tip and not where the dots were at all. She offered to redo it after I asked but I didn't really want to go through it again immediately, and I didn't really trust it would be done right the second time. She also didn't really give me clear aftercare instructions - I haven't had a piercing in a long time so I don't just know all of it anymore. Anyway, I went to piercing-only shop today to get a second opinion and they said it was absolutely done wrong and needed to be removed. I'm waiting until it heals to go get it redone somewhere else. Really sad because I've wanted this piercing for a long time and the shop is super cute, but I think if you're looking for a nipple piercing specifically I'd go elsewhere. read more

I had a great experience at heartless tattoos. I chose this shop because it's near my place (about a 10 minute walk!) and because it's ran by women. My tattoo took about 3.5 hours and it came out amazing. The artist executed exactly how I wanted and she even added some sprinkles of white ink as her recommendation to make it pop and look better. Loved the design she drew up and overall the staff was super friendly. Only downside is if you go without an appointment you could be there all day so make sure to make an appointment if you can or if you are getting a bigger piece as was the case with me. Other than that it was a great experience and very reasonable prices compared to other shops in LA that I've been to so i definitely recommend i will for sure be going back! Another thing to add is that my tattoo healed super quick and they even give you the ointment to apply to your tattoo so that's an added bonus! read more

Paid nearly 200 bucks for 4in tat... you could tell the artist rushed through it so ofc I had to go back for a touch up. Yk touch up are usually free. So when i went back i was rescheduled twice and when i finally was able to get it touched up they took someone else first because "at least yours is free theyre paying me for this one" as if I got the tattoo for free. i still tipped cuz aint nothing free. these girls just care about $$$ read more
