Dr. Iskaros and his staff have always taken the time to thoroughly explain all the procedures as well as my various options (with the pros and cons) so that I am comfortable with the services I am going to receive and can make an informed decision. Another reason that I keep coming back to Dr. Iskaros is because he is gentle. I understand that some people are afraid of going to the dentist, but you won't feel that way after going to Dr. Iskaros. He takes his time, makes sure that the patient is comfortable, talks you through the whole process, and performs all of his services with a gentle touch. And, the results are outstanding! Another reason that I love going to Dr. Iskaros is that he is an artist and won't accept mediocrity. Not only is my oral health important to him, but also the aesthetics that go along with a healthy mouth. Dr. Iskaros specializes in cosmetic dentistry, which is one of the reasons I first went to see him years ago. Dr. Iskaros strives for perfection and truly wants to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your smile. I know that he won't let me leave his office unless I am 100% satisfied and happy to show off my smile to the world. She was beyond kind, helpful, respectful and really made me feel comfortable (which I didn't think was possible.) PLEASE hire her as I want her to be my "go to" for cleanings. He's also a fantastic person. I'm now a happy, very satisfied patient of his son's. Dr. Dan (as he is called) is a graduate of his parent's dental school, Columbia University. One of his undergraduate degrees is in engineering, an excellent field as preparation for dentistry or medicine. Dr. Dan is highly skilled and has a warm personality. He's patient, kind and sensitive. If you are afraid of the dentist or even have a phobia, Dr. Dan will help you. I can't recommend him highly enough. Dr. Michelle Mirsky is also in the practice. She is exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable. In addition to general dentistry, Dr. Mirsky has a thriving practice in cosmetic dentistry.

I come from a family in healthcare.  Almost everyone in my immediate family is a surgeon, pharmacists, clinician, scientist or MD of some sort.  From a young age, I have been taught to inquire about any medical procedure being performed on me in painstaking details. Before meeting Dr Silivria , I met and rejected 3 dentist who were unable to demonstrate their knowledge to me sufficiently.  One of them is a Fifth Avenue celebrity dentist who has a 6 month waiting list  and charged me full price(no insurance accepted)  Still not good enough.  I do not care about a fancy office or equipment, if the knowledge and technique is lacking. When I met  Dr. Silivria for a consultation, not only was she extremely knowledgeable, she patiently tolerated my barrage of questions, answering calmly and precisely.  It was clear to me from that moment  if I ever became anxious in the chair during a procedure, she would provide the serenity I needed.    Dr. Silivria took a great conservative approach to my cavities and fillings and when I ended up requiring a root canal, with crown lengthening surgery, her staff squeezed me in for a quick checkup and referred me quickly to an periodontist for my surgery, and ensured my X-rays were sent over before I arrived to their office.  She is attentive, friendly, and very efficient.  She answers all of my questions before and after any appointment, and I find her to be incredibly knowledgeable.   Dr. Silivria sets herself apart from other NYC dentists by providing personalized and compassionate dental care. Her NYC dental office is staffed with highly trained dental care professionals.  Her office has also taken every precaution since COVID-19, highly recommended.

While gum tunneling is considered "minimally invasive," I don't think it should ever be taken lightly when it comes to WHO performs it. This is one of those procedures where experience, precision, and artistry matter tremendously, and this woman IS a surgical artist. I was pretty nervous the week leading up to surgery, having built this procedure up in my head as a huge and painful event. Instead, the entire experience felt like relaxing girl talk while the Queen of Dentistry worked her magic. Before I knew it, I was done. The craziest part? I walked out smiling, feeling amazing, and you genuinely couldn't even tell I had just undergone periodontal surgery. Yes...really. The recovery pain was surprisingly minimal considering what I had done. The realization of no longer having gums that felt like frickin' tissue paper and finally correcting my bizarre gingival defect has been eye-opening. You don't realize what your mouth has been missing until it's finally healthy again! The difference has TRULY been life-changing and I feel like my mommy makeover has been completed with exceptional results. My only complaint? The stitches weren't available in neon pink or glitter (tee hee, just kidding!) There was a man sitting at the front desk yelling into his phone as using profanity. He was doing this very loudly, as there were other people in the waiting area. It was very uncomfortable and made the experience weird. Cleaning and Exam were good though. I would still thing about returning.

I went in for a crown and Dr. Benjamin said I didn't need a root canal. Boy was he wrong. I was in a lot of pain for a while. I ended up getting a root canal. Unfortunately Dr. Black the dentist that did the root canal went right thru into the bone but he didn't tell me. He just said that the tool for the root canal broke but it would be fine. Funny things is that they made me sign a small piece of paper before I left that technically said stuff happens. On my next visit I told them I was still in pain but he said it takes time for the pain to go away. It never did. After a year I ended up with an abscess and loosing my tooth because the Doctor lied. It cost me almost $2,500.00 for pain and loosing my tooth. Dr. Benjamin said he was going to give an implant at a discount but never did. That is the same thing that happened when Dr. Black said that the tool broke in my tooth. Dr. Benjamin said he was going to call a specialist to see what could be done and he never did.

I was glad to see the same familiar faces still working in his office from all those years ago, and they took excellent care of me. It was cool to see how much the technology has advanced since I was last in the office. My treatment was much shorter with less discomfort using the new aligners. I finally finished my Invisalign treatment last month and I've been so happy with the changes! Huge thanks to Dr. Davidowitz and his team for reaching back out to me!
