This place is kinda a hidden gem and unassuming. The donuts are as expected my kids enjoyed them and they also gave them free donut holes. The Beck breakfast burrito taste great and was made right in front of me. What I liked most about it aside from the perfectly cooked eggs and flavor was the size. I don't need a breakfast burrito the size of my forearm. This was the correct portion. The only thing they could improve is to make a fresh salsa. I believe the one they use is Pace. Better than nothing I suppose. You could tell by the conversations at the counter that many of the customers are local and probably visit almost every day for their coffee and something to eat. read more

My husband and I tried the pork tamales and they were very, very good! They were steaming hot. The masa was fluffy and the pork was tender and tasty. It was a good size tamale and the proportion of meat to masa was pretty equal, not skimpy. The hot sauce that came in a container on the side was too spicy for me but not for my husband. If you like your hot sauce spicy, you'll probably like it too. The tamale itself is tasty but not spicy. I also tried a glazed donut and a crunch donut. Both were a generous size. They were fresh, light and fluffy. Not greasy like some other donut shops can be. The person at the counter was very friendly and efficient. The service here is phenomenal. The workers behind the counter was super nice and recommended the two meat breakfast burrito. So we got two of those with avocado and we also got a green chili and chicken tamale. The breakfast burrito was like a nine out of 10 breakfast burrito. Delicious and simple. Their hot salsa is really good tasting and not overly spicy but has a light kick. The real highlight was the tamale. The flavor on it was amazing and I can't imagine what the rest of the tamales taste like with this one being so good. We will definitely be coming back and we recommend this place to others. Went here for the first time today. First off, the customer service was absolutely amazing. Malika (hopefully I spelt her name right) was super friendly and made me feel very welcomed. The inside gave a very cozy vibe, like you wouldn't mind spending time in there talking with your friends or even the people who work there. That alone makes me want to go back in the near future. But how was the food? Amazing. I got the two meat breakfast burrito, with bacon and sausage, an apple fritter, glazed twist and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The burrito was the perfect size and packed a lot of flavor, also game with salsa that was equally as tasty. The apple fritter was one of, if not the best apple fritter I've ever had, it had so much apples and such a great amount of cinnamon. The glazed twist was soft, pillowy and fried to perfection. And the Vietnamese coffee was perfect. I usually go try a new donut place once every month that is on my wya to work to bring donuts to our manager meeting. This time, I stopped by Linda's to give it a try. Walking in, I was a bit underwhelmed with how many donut options they had. They do serve a lot more than just donuts, and the large group in there all seemed to have ordered hot food. I just ordered a mixed dozen here, and usually I pay about $25 for a dozen, but I was surprised how this was a few dollars less. If you pay cash, you can also save a few dollars as well. I was greeted with above and beyond customer service, and everyone in the store welcomes me/apologized for the wait, even the cooks. Not that donuts at different donuts stores taste THAT much different, but I did like how the donuts here were not very thick and doughy. Sometimes that makes the donut dry and hard to eat. I came back the very next morning as it was National Donut Day and bought 3 dozen donuts for my team. They all loved the sweet treats and enjoyed all the options. The bacon wasn't chopped up so you had bacon in every bite. Also, so reasonably priced at $9. The salsa was also really good...plus there were 2 in the bag which I was so happy about. This place is family owned and operated. The daughter was so friendly and welcoming and helpful since my first time there. There are a couple to tables to sit, but i took mine to go. After growing up in lake forest and weekly doughnut runs being a tradition in my family I have to say Linda's is by far the best in the area! Don't be mistaken by going to Linda's coffee house in foothill!! I've been coming here since high school and the quality of food and service have always remained above and beyond. When coming I recommend trying their tamales they are delicious always fresh and never dry! This place is a hidden gem of Mission Viejo. Family owned establishment known for coffee and donuts but has low key the best tamales I have had in California and at a great price. For $4.50 total I had a pork and a chicken tamale covered in a beef sauce while waiting for my haircut appointment next door and it was filling and delicious. The tamales were tender and moist without any dryness or chewiness and where many tamales can be lacking in meat, these ones are full of them. Additionally, these tamales are covered to allow them the ability to maintain both the heat and the moisture which is a departure from many restaurants i have eaten tamales at on the west coast. The interior of the restaurant may be outdated but it is clean and you can tell the owners take pride in the food that they serve and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick and cheap yet filling quality meal read more

I was surprised to see they not only sold donuts, but tamales and champurrado. How cool is that! This review is for their TAMALES only. I got a half dozen chicken and jalapeño cheese tamales. The chicken tamales were good and moist- 4 stars. However, the cheese tamales were extremely salty, and I probably will not get them again- 2 stars. I will definitely come back for their tamales. The donut selection here is very limited, and they seem to have more Mexican pan dulce available... but I do want to try some of their filled and ham and cheese croissants in the future. Kind of an interesting donut shop as they have smoothies and Mexican food. Not quite what you would expect if you're going in for a donut or there very good ham and cheese breakfast crossaints. We often have morning appointments in the area and have ordered the crossaints to go a few times. Of note, if you are in a hurry, you might want to call in advance as they take their time to take care of each customer so if there's a line, you might be there a bit. But if you are only ordering coffee and donuts, you'll be out quickly. Just takes a while to get items warmed up and/or cooked. Parking is easy depending on the time of the day, there are several other businesses in the center so it depends how many are open when you arrive.
