Really really good little steakhouse. I like the 12oz. ribeye but everything is great. It's always cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes, grits, broccoli and asparagus are all solid side choices. The baked potatoes are fantastic as well. It's a small dining room that's warm and comfortable. The servers are great too. I would recommend going for lunch or an early dinner or late dinner. Expect a good wait if you show up from 6-7:30. But you can put your name in and go next door to the shops and look around until they call you on your phone when your table is ready. Thanks for ruining my wedding night. I have been wanting to try this place for over a year since I moved to Rome. Waited an hour and a half to be seated. Had ordered food and was waiting. My young son was crying, which is reasonable after waiting that long to even be seated. A young male worker came to the table and asked me to step outside until my child finished crying. I asked if they discriminated against families and he said, "This is a steakhouse and not a daycare, people pay good money to eat here." Which is funny bc I was also paying good money to eat there and had waited just as long as everyone else. It literally left me in the restaurant in front of everyone crying. It's hard enough having a young child and I am doing my best. All I wanted was to have a nice dinner with my family on my wedding day. We had heard such great things about this steakhouse. It did not disappoint. We both got filets husband had his cooked medium, and I had mine done mid-rare. Both steaks were juicy, cooked perfectly to temp, and full of flavor. Decor was lovely, brick walls and plenty of booth seating. Art on walls is from local antique dealer and available for purchase. Our server was helpful and she was understanding when I specified to be sure I received the mid rare steak. Most steakhouses assume the man gets this temp-and we usually have to flip our plates. They're closed the week of the Fourth of July and the week after. Seating is first come first served, and it's a popular spot so prepare for an hour or hour and a half wait for dinner. We always heard great things about Linde Marie's and couldn't wait to try it. I would say it is really good, just quite not up to the hype. We arrived at 12:00 which is opening time and they had already pre seated other people. We were told to wait 10-15 minutes. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes and almost left. Once we were seated they were only utilizing half the seating. It's a small space to begin with. I wonder if they were having staffing issues that day. My wife was really looking forward to checking out this place based on the word of mouth she had heard from several people. After a day of exploring in the area we were more than hungry and ready to check out what all the hype was about. Mistake one, totally our fault, they were packed out and it was quite a wait to get in (no deduct to them for that, they got us in as quickly as possible). There were a few places that stayed open late since Linde Marie was so busy, so we shopped until it was about time for our seat to be ready. Menu is nice and has typical steak house stuff available. Obviously we had to try the steak and I can't express enough how disappointed I was that yet another steak house was incapable of serving a steak how I asked for it to be served. Service was not great and it took forever to get my food sent back so that it could get cooked properly. Just kind of put a damper on the whole experience. Prices are a little on the high side, but if you can back it up with quality service and food/food prep then I don't mind it so much. Not when they aren't able to cook a steak to order though. My overall impression, obviously is not good. It looks like several others have enjoyed the experience and maybe we just caught them on an off night. I really wish we had been able to try this. We wanted an early Valentines date night and chose this as a special Location. We got there at 5:10 and put our name in. The wait time was already an hour and twenty minutes. So we decided to wait. After an hour and a half we checked our place in line and were told another 20 minutes. After another 30 minutes we checked again. So after 2 hours and 15 minutes we left. 10 minutes later they finally called to tell us our table was ready. I told the guy hosting we had just left because we had waited over an hour past the time we had been told. Ok this was definitely not the experience we have had in the past. Even though we have had road blocks by the host in the past couple of years we have been there, we really wanted to take our son to get a good steak for his birthday this weekend. As I had expected road block hostess had attitude. We knew they did not seat large parties and so we explained to the hostess we could be broken up into smaller tables and that would not be a problem. Well for some reason the management could not conceptualize this idea. Yall it was crazy, it was almost like our family and friends were being punished for having 16 people that wanted to eat there. They had half the dining room empty, made our daughters and grandchildren wait at the door, and seated people of 6 and 4 tops after ours had been waiting. We were told by the manager that orders had to be placed 30 minutes apart before others could be seated. Then it got even worse from the rest of the staff. The most unprofessional staff I have ever ever seen in my life. Yes they have good steaks but they are not the only ones. Until management is held accountable for their unprofessionalism, we will enjoy steaks somewhere else. And what is even crazier, 8 of the 16 had already placed orders which were cooking and at the end of the night, the management caused Linde Marie to lose a lot of money by not not serving 16 people that just wanted to have a family birthday. I am having a hard time even giving the management a one rating right now. Our waitress that we had temporarily was excellent and embarrassed because of the managements treatment of us,l. The manager even brought out the cook and the bartender to put pressure on us to leave and even stood between my husband and the waitress while he was trying to tip her for what she already done for us. We've been regulars here for a while, pre corona we'd come in at least once a week, when covid started and the dining room was shut down we were happy to continue supporting this local business ordering take out over the phone but as soon as the dining room opened back up every time we'd call the service has gotten worse and worse. Today I called and was told they no longer take orders over the phone and was hung up on. What restaurant doesn't take phone orders, they were extra happy to take our phone orders when the dining room was closed but now they turn their back on loyal customers, very disappointing.
