We were celebrating my birthday and the restaurant made it feel really special -- they printed a custom menu that said "Happy Birthday," and at the end of the night they even gave me a wax-sealed birthday card from the restaurant. Such a cool touch. Our server Ben was outstanding. It was our first visit and he spent time walking us through the menu and helping us decide. He was funny, attentive, and every recommendation he gave us was spot on. The carpaccio appetizer was amazing -- presented traditionally and then mixed tableside into perfectly balanced bite-sized pieces. It was both beautiful and delicious. what an experience. Overall it was outstanding. I'm talking on par with Bones (atlanta) or capital grill (DC). The atmosphere is rustic while fitting for the Blue Ridge vibe. The food, the bread, the wedge salad, the creamed spinach (alone is worth the drive from atl). My wife had the shrimp and crab bucantini and I the 24oz bone in ribeye. I sit. 3 bartenders could not have done more to ignore me. I finally get one's attention for some water. Unfortunately I have her a $5 tip hoping to increase my visibility. That was a mistake. To start my review I will say WOW! This restaurant definitely deserves a five star. We came here for Valentine's Day for dinner and it meet our expectations from the service to the presentation. The chic decor and cozy vibe set the perfect atmosphere from the moment we walked in. We decided to go with wine since we were all having steak. We then met our waitress,unfortunately I cannot remember her name but she was excellent very knowledgeable. She was very attentive and made our entire evening feel special. We were then given the menu, and asked her for suggestions she suggested at least three and we went with the roasted oysters and dry age beef carpaccio both were excellent but the beef carpaccio took it to another level with the presentation itself. While we waited we got a complimentary tuna tartare. We then had another waiter come around with a box for us to select our own knife to cut our steaks it had a selection of different types. We went with another couple so the ladies ordered the filet mignon 8oz The steak was cooked to near perfection, that locked in its rich, savory juices. Each bite was tender and buttery, with a deep, beef-forward flavor that spoke to the quality of the cut. The seasoning was balanced--enhancing the natural taste without overpowering it--and the interior was precisely cooked to the requested temperature. The dry-aging process was evident in the steak's deep, concentrated flavor--rich, slightly nutty, and exceptionally satisfying. Each bite was buttery and well-seasoned, allowing the quality of the cut to truly shine. We had option to add sauce and went with the grace steak sauce and béarnaise. For the sides we went a bit overboard, decided on macaroni and cheese its made with Vermont cheddar, provolone gratin very creamy and soft. I wasn't a fan of the sea bass I got mainly bc of the side that came with it. I don't think the food quality measured up to the price. Just had an amazing dinner at Grace Prime Steakhouse in blue ridge. All I can say is wow! This is a high end steakhouse in the mountains. We started off with cast iron house rolls, French Onion Soup and Cesar Salad. Mains were a filet and a 24oz 45-60 day dry aged bone in ribeye. Sides were green beans, asparagus and mashed potatoes. The rib eye was absolutely delicious cooked to perfection. I think it was bigger than 24oz's. My wife's filet was cooked perfect and she said it was excellent. Very cool item to note....they bring you a box of various types of steak knives and allow you to pick one. The server then tells you a bit about the manufacturer. Cool touch. We celebrated our 47th anniversary at Grace. Our menu was printed for us with Happy Anniversary at the top. Emily was our server. She was very knowledgeable of the food and gave us great recommendations. She was very attentive to us. We had the filet and sea bass which were excellent. The filet was the best we ever had. Our sides were the hash browns and creamed spinach. Both were excellent. The chef compliments added to our meal were a nice surprise. Went here last night with a group of 10 for an anniversary celebration. We came in with 3 balloons for the table after we sat down, till someone came up & said not allowed. The other thing that turned me off was when we came in we told them name on the reservation & they just pointed to a large table in the back For such a pricey place, they should have taken us to our table, better training needed. The food was all outstanding. They do their sides family style which is a bit confusing for a large party, we ended up ordering to many sides, but all were great. A real gem hidden away in the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains. The beef carpaccio was absolutely amazing. Our waiter who is fantastic named Ben said the only bad thing about it is will never have a better one and he was absolutely right. I recommend the aged steaks the potatoes, au gratin, and anything. This was our first time in Blue Ridge and we were so excited to dine at Grace. We are from Miami so we have had a lot of great food but this is by far one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The service was some of the best we have ever experienced, our server really tailored his recommendations based on our wants and needs. For appetizers we had the French onion soup and the crudo. For dinner we had the porterhouse and the New York strip to share as well as Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese and creamed corn. Everything was divine especially the New York strip steak. We also had a midnight kiss (their version of an espresso martini) and it was a 10/10! The ambiance was also fantastic, it felt like I was in a restaurant in NYC with the gorgeous decor. This is by far the BEST meal we've had in a long time, and we've had some great ones! I booked this reservation a few months ago since we are in town for a relaxing spring break. The restaurant is GORGEOUS! Cozy, chic, and moody vibes! The staff is fantastic! Everyone we interacted with was so nice. Emily our server went above and beyond, and we loved all of her recommendations! For starters we had the wedge & Caesar salads, along with the delicious complimentary bread. For entrees my husband and daughter had filets, and I had the delmonico ribeye- superb! For sides we got the Mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts, and mushrooms. For dessert we shared the chocolate brownie with peanut butter ice cream. From start to finish everything was an absolute delight! The chef even sent out a few extra things including an amuse bouche of tempura shrimp at the beginning of the meal that really makes you feel like you are a valued patron. Didn't have a great experience the first time I was at Grace with the seafood dish I had but decided to give it another try and have a steak.....what they are supposed to be known for. The service and ambiance is very good but the food is lacking. I had a filet, a salad, and wine. The salad was very good, as was the wine. But I must say my filet was probably the worst steak I have ever had. You can get much better steaks at Longhorn's for half the price. My filet was so gristly and tough that I could not cut it and needless to say, didn't eat it. The waiter offered to bring me another filet but I declined, so they did take it off the bill. My husband had a ribeye and said it was so-so. It was pretty thin. Not what you would expect from a steakhouse that charges premium prices for their steaks. Bottom line: Lovely ambiance with excellent service but way overpriced, mediocre food. And the style of the rest is very modern. It doesn't fit in little Blue Ridge and ruins the look of a once charming mountain town. I won't go back. read more

He gave great recommendations such as our appetizer (Dry Age Beef Carpaccio* Balsamic) & told us to save some of our bread to eat with it which was so smart. Our food was incredible and if you're a sauce person, get the sauce flight!!!! We got a complimentary tasting, complimentary broccolini, and dessert. Grace is in a grandiose building offering a great dining experience. From the beautiful entrance and hostess team to the beautiful bathrooms, and the pick your steak knife detail, it is all worth it. I have been here 2 times now, always opting the bar, and always end up sharing the John Wayne medium rare. I carbed up with their incredible mashed potatoes gratin! The wine and cocktails are also delicious. The bar staff seems to be trained to not engage much with the diners. A little bird told me this is the training instilled in them and thus they do not spend much time conversing, which is a shame if that is true, as the whole point of dining at the bar is to have more of an interactive dining experience with them. They made gluten free rolls for me and served in a small cast iron skillet We started with the yellowfin tuna crudo, And popcorn scallops Fresh & delicious. We loved the seasoning on both. Honestly, this place wowed me! We don't often go for steak on a night out because my husband can make a mean steak at home and we hunt for premium cuts. So, this was a special occasion to try something new and upscale in Blue Ridge. We made our reservations in advance and when we arrived we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Immediate upon arrival we noticed the lovely decor and I love all the golds and earthy tones. There are pheasants and deer on the walls which I thought was a nice decor choice that fits Blue Ridge well. The lighting is lower and subtle. We enjoy the small table lamps, but sometimes it's nice to move them out of the way so you're not looking around them/reaching around them. These were bright enough that when moved to the end of the table near the wall we could still see. It is a little dark so the parents did get out their phones to use the flashlight for the menu. But overall I prefer the lighting level to an overly bright one. Once settled, We reviewed their excellent wine menu and chose a nice bottle of red to start with tap and spring water for the table. Our server, Micayla (not sure how she spells it), was wonderful! She let us know at the start that they ask you order your full meal at once. No problem! I selected the French onion soup and the 10oz Ribeye Cap, mom chose the salad and filet, dad and husband split the aged tomahawk and husband got the special prime rib chili. For sides we ordered the corn, cream spinach, Brussels, and hash browns and the tomahawk came with the fingerling potatoes. We got a lovely sample from the chef to start us off of a pork belly I believe with cotton candy- such a great mix. The cotton candy just melts in your mouth coating the pork belly with the sugars and mixing so well with the inherent savory flavor of the meat. The French onion soup was to die for. Great flavor and I love a good french onion with Guinness. Next level. Very filling. My husbands chili was delicious as well, probably top 5 chilis I've ever tried. They cleaned off the table between courses and we got to choose our steak knife which was a wonderful touch. I had to use the restroom in between so missed the presentation of the tomahawk, but have been assured it was wonderful. *Side note- the restrooms are very clean and not cramped, they have two available so you may have to wait, and there's an adorable gold fox with glasses in between the two over sinks - wish I had my phone to snap a picture.* Upon arriving back at the table my steak was ready for me, but before I could take a bite I was presented with a taste of my husbands tomahawk -it was cooked perfectly and I loved the aged flavor it has to it. When aged it truly changes the whole flavor and texture. I was ready to cut into my cap and it was perfect. This is a favorite cut of meat for us and it was done wonderfully. The texture and flavor of a ribeye cap can't be beat honestly. Mine was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and had a wonderful flavor to it. Out of the sides the spinach was by far my favorite. The Brussels were a little lackluster compared to everything else. The corn has a nice kick to it and is very flavorful. We did not break into the hash browns because we forgot about them with everything else we ordered. We had them in the morning warmed up in a pan to crisp them back up and they were amazing. Such a great flavor with the horseradish. I did not try dessert and was beyond full. Now, I think the way a restaurant or business handles mishaps is a true testament to how wonderful they are. Being so full I only ate maybe 1/4 of my ribeye cap. Unfortunately when our food was being boxed up they left it out and we realized when we were back at the cabin. That is a pricey bit of steak so we certainly reached out to the restaurant right away. They verified our information and remembered us being in there and offered several solutions. Top notch customer service won us over and add that to the overall wonderful experience and amazing food- we will be returning again soon! read more

I went to Grace to have a couple drinks and appetizers at the bar. The restaurant was clean, upscale and dimly lit. Perfect special occasion or date night spot. The service was fantastic, all the servers and bar staff were very attentive and kind. I ordered the Cesar salad and truffle fries. The Cesar was one of the best I've ever had, but the fries were just okay. I didn't get any truffle flavor and they were served with some sort of aioli which I normally love, but this one was really oily. Everything was excellent!!! We went to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had the garlic shrimp for an appetizer. It was delicious! My wife ordered the filet, medium rare and I had the ribeye medium rare. Both were cooked to perfection. The crispy Brussels and complementary green bean sides were also wonderful.
