I could not be more disappointed With my lunch today. The pork chop sandwich was served with normal sliced bread. There was still bone in the pork chop! The pork was very thin. I have ordered from here in the past and thought it took a lot longer than expected but the food is always good. Well today I went inside to order and was told it would be 15 minutes. So I sat by the counter for over 30 minutes until I had to call the restaurant because nobody ever came to the front while I was waiting. She said it had been sitting there for 4 or 5 minutes... but no one came to check to see if I was there for my order. The good is great but the service sucks. They don't answer phones after a certain time- per management, then when you go in they ask if you are picking up an order, like maybe if you answer your phones. Today I went in around 7:30, a lady said she was waiting for over 30 minutes for a call ahead order, a staff member comes out from the back customer asks about her order the worker told the customer "I'm doing something else you gotta wait." Then turns to me and asks about me picking up an order. I flat out told her Ive been calling for over 30 minutes no answer, so no I need to place an order, but check on the other customers food first. Which she didn't, completely ignored my response. I then asked her the wait time for a Togo order and she said 35 minutes to an hour For a 10 pc wing!!! Not saying all the staff is horrible, but you can't be rude and not answer phones. I was told I would be helped "in just a moment" and the proceeded to wait and watched as the staff served people who came in after me. Great food. My table ordered burgers, fries, onion rings and wings. I personally tastes everything and was very pleased. The burger was fantastic. Crinkle cut fries were good, onion rings were good. Wings were very good, were basically fried chicken wings, but again - very good. Service was a bit slow, I was there for weekday lunch, only one person to wait tables, take carry out calls, everything but cooking. Took a while to get our waters. First off the prices are wrong. It's $9 for a simple double cheeseburger. It's $4 more for some frozen fries and a flat soda. You have to be very careful they charge you the right amount too because they constantly mess orders up and over charge for things. The food is tasty. I give them that. Probably the best burger in South Bend but you could just have a steak for what they are charging you. The service is poorly trained and very slow. I mean VERY slow. You better have a good solid hour if you plan to eat there. They are not unpleasant to so speak but they just don't seem to care that much about taking care of the customer. The lack of good service and the very high prices don't allow me to give a passing grade. If you just have to go then try to go when they are busy as the workers seem to focus better when it's busy. read more

First I will say I normally love Linden Grill. I went today a couple hours ago for their famous perch. I was disappointed because the perch was so small that they looked like strips. Otherwise I would give a 5. Not sure if it was because it was a ND game day that it was skimpy. I hope I have better luck next time. read more

This place is a west side staple. I've only been to the downtown location, but I've never been disappointed! Friendly service, full bar, VERY tasty burgers. I believe it's family run, and you can really feel that in the atmosphere. We usually do carry out, but the outdoor seating during the summer was nice. I have never been to one of their shows, but I hear it's a good time on the nights that they are open late. Seriously, one of the best burgers you can get downtown. read more

Linden grill has decent food if you want something cheap. It is not a very nice establishment and isn't in the best part of town. The place is very small and the restrooms are awkwardly through the lobby of the large building the restaurant is in. Our server wasn't old enough to serve us alcohol so we had to walk to the bar for beers, but I didn't mind. I tried my first colt 45. Good stuff. The food was okay, nothing special, except the potatoes and onions which were amazing. It wasn't a bad deal since I had a Groupon, but I'm not sure I would go here again without another Groupon. The waitress was polite but not very knowledgable about the menu though she was able to recommend the burgers and the wings. The food also took quite a while to come out, but it was fresh when we got it. I probably won't hurry back here, but it's an okay hole in the wall joint, you know, small but acceptable, just not very cozy or clean. Mostly a place to go with your buddies for some greasy food and a couple beers and not a place to take your kids in my opinion. read more

They need to pay attention to customers. We tried to eat there on 9/1. There were two other customers total yet we waited 45 minutes after ordering. Asked twice where our food was and never received it. Left after waiting nearly one hour for nothing and no attention. Other customers left as well. Big party going on in the kitchen but guess they don't want business. Too bad. They seem to have a good menu. May not be back unless problems are fixed. read more

Cannot comment on the food. Went there to eat during First Friday in 9/1/2017. Sat down and it took the waitress 10 minutes to even acknowledge us, another 5 to bring us menus and take our drink order, 5 more minutes to get us our drinks, 10 minutes to come take our food orders. 20 minutes later after not even getting our food we left. This would have been understandable if they had been busy. there were a total of 3 other parties there when we sat down. One waiting to cash out, one that was in the middle of eating, and the last had just ordered when we sat down. Due to lousy service I would recommend not going there unless you have at least 2 hours for a simple sandwich and drink. Yes we were sitting outside due to having our dogs with us for the event that evening, but so did the party that was waiting to cash out. read more

I have been there twice. First time was using a Groupon.. Love groupons because they direct me to places I just may miss or not notice we have in the area. I have only eaten at the Western Ave. one. The food is good priced and excellent! Which is what matters the most. The wings seem to be their signature. The staff was more than kind. Now the cons, yes the interior could use an up lift or maybe a more warm homey effect. The order does take some time have ran into that. But the second time around I noticed on their website they are starting where you can order on line soon.. so instead before I left we called in our order which took care of any long waiting if happened again. They seem to make everything by scratch so that maybe why it takes longer.. i guess you can not have it all quality and speed. All in all worth going to and will return. read more

Excellent food. Good drink/food prices. Friendly staff. Okay music at a respectable volume. Service was slow - only reason I can't give 5 stars this time. And the decor/lighting could use some help. They should think about getting a drink menu, even a small one (and not all vodka drinks!), and work on selling the nice liquors they do have. The food is what carries the place for now, and I have to say they have the best catfish I've ever tasted. Pretty good fried okra as well. I've also enjoyed their fried chicken, which I don't even usually like, and their potatoes&onions. The only food I've tasted that didn't impress me too much were the fries - not that they were bad, but I think they might be the one thing I tried that wasn't prepared entirely in-house. Ask the server to "give it some love," and they'll put their house spice mix in whatever you order before they cook it. Very flavorful, but not too spicy. The hotsauce they have is the same way - not in-your-face, and the perfect accompaniment to the catfish I had. I hope they continue to do well and maybe even improve in the future. read more
