We live in Centennial Hills and always want to check out new things/places, so we decided to go to Skye for their happy hour. The place is a typical bar/tavern, with high tables/chairs, bar with games, lots of TV sets. If one is looking to relax with a drink and appetizers in a comfy sofa this is not the place. This does look like it's a fun place to unwind. They seem to have all kinds of daily and monthly specials. The service was good, but the food was great. They have a good enough selection. So we got the potsticker, chicken wraps, poppers, nachos. Every single dish was scrumptious. We especially liked how they prepared the nachos --- seems like they layered the nachos and the sauce unlike other places where they just pour the sauce on top and the bottom nachos don't get any of it. We also ordered a bowl of their roasted tomato soup which turned out so tasty. Chef Julius himself brought out the soup and when we told him it's one of the best we've ever had, he brought another serving to take home with us. Now, that's a great way to build a business and encourage customers to keep coming back. All together, our experience was very good, and the only suggestion I would make is to have a variety of seating --- break up the tables and chairs with some comfortable sofas, armchairs.

Took our out of town visitors for brunch around 11:15 am Saturday. It wasn't crowded but there were people at the bar. We were greeted as soon as we entered and shortly after we sat at the tables the nice lady at the bar gave us menus and took drink orders. There is a cigarette smoke smell but it wasn't too bad , they must have good ventilation. They played 80s music and some sang along at times it was fun! Our server was Tonya and she was so nice and gave us fantastic service! The food was all very delicious and presented well! We will be back for sure now or even order to go. Highly recommend!

Best neighborhood spot in Skye Canyon. Love coming by with my sister to catch a game or just hang out. Cat is awesome!

The food is good and quick, recommend the pretzel bites. Kat was our bartender and the drinks were great and she had good recommendations of their specialties to try.

This is our closest local bar and grill - and its pretty good! It's part of the WSKY chain (which I enjoy), however its a different menu (but there are so overlaps like the grilled cheese). The service is pretty good, Maila was our server and she was great on getting us refills on our drinks. The one thing I do like is that they have Truly on draft. Highly recommend the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. They are really tasty! Glad we have this as our neighborhood bar!

The service here was phenomenal. I wish I caught the name of the waitress and bartender cause I'd want them every time. Super sweet and helpful with the menu. We had a little of all the best items on the bar bites menu. With a some drinky drinks to wash it down. The Poppers- were freshly made and you could taste it. Well balanced cream cheese with a nice half slice of jalapeno deep fried to a crunch. Bang Bang tacos (shrimp)- hands down my favorite item from what we chose. Amazingly cooked shrimp with fresh cabbage to give it that double crunch that I love. And some flavorful spice to make it all the better. And the unspoken hero's That pumpkin spice martini or espresso... I forget the name but it was addicting. Not overflowing with pumpkin flavor and just enough espresso taste made it soooo smooth. The churro donut holes speak for themselves... I would have ordered 5 plates.

10/10 spot! I've been here multiple times and each time I leave highly satisfied! All the employees are super sweet but I want to give a special shoutout to Kat! Kat is the sweetest and gives the best customer service. She ensures my drinks are constantly filled! This spot is perfect to bring friends to chat, gamble, have great drinks - I even come to do homework sometimes! Thanks Kat!

Moved here from Washington, tried a few bars around but nothing beats Skye. Kat and Angelina are the greatest. Always attentive, the atmosphere is great!

Outstanding bar !!! It's definitely the nicest bar in this area. The menu is very diverse and reasonably priced. They also have a brunch menu and happy hour . The food is very delicious and we really enjoyed their pizzas ( the crust is really good), highly recommend them. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is friendly and attentive. Overall: great bar scene, very relaxing and comfortable, great tasty food and welcoming staff .

Ask the Community - Skye Bar & Grill

Is this a kid friendly restaurant?

No, it is a bar, I am almost certain that it is 21 and older.

Is there any entree that is gluten free here? Does this restaurant use a shared fryer for things like battered fish that would cross contaminate foods like gluten free french fries? I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten free.

    Is this a non-smoking establishment?

No. They do allow smoking. They have good food and decent service, but sometimes it can be bothersome.

What are the Happy Hour, hours?

    4pm-7pm daily

We visited on Friday, for lunch, with a party of two and it was a good experience. We arrived and…read moreseated ourselves in the dining area. The place is large and clean. The waitress arrived and took orders, their margaritas are tall and refreshing. We started with Chicken Nachos. They were constructed strangely, they put the refried beans on the plate itself, under the chips and other ingredients. You had to lift up the nachos to scrape the beans off the plate. We then went with the Ribeye Steak and Chicken and Waffles. The steak was cooked beautifully. They initially brought out hot honey instead of syrup for the waffles, which was confusing. Their "Hash Browns" are actually potato sticks. There were only 2 women working as servers/bartenders, so the speed of the service was a bit slow. We ended up waiting quite a while for the check. Overall, not a bad spot for a bite and a drink.

My friend Dana said, "Hey, there's a local restaurant near me that I go to all the time... and…read morethey're having a FREE BBQ Saturday night!" Free BBQ?!? It didn't take much to twist my husband's arm... though we weren't 100% that this would be anything much... because, as my husband said, "Nothing's free... and what do they get out of it? and how are they doing this... in this economy?" We arrived promptly at 4PM, because we knew it was "first come first served"... they had a DJ and a TON of games, raffles, free alcoholic beverages, swag (tshirts, beer cozies, pins, stickers, custom-designed etched wine glasses), various stations of fun activities... and... the entire restaurant was part of this... So of course we sat our party of 5 at a table in the main restaurant section... and proceeded to... order full meals and drinks from the menu. Listen, the prices are RIGHT, the food looked incredible, and technically they weren't going to serve the BBQ until 5:30... so... we figured we'd have an hour and a half to digest. I ordered a salad though... because I was dead set on some ribs or pulled pork or something... BBQ-y. My husband ordered the BLT with tater tots, and others in our party ordered sandwiches, fried raviolis, among other items like martinis, lemonade. Our waitress was so attentive and darling, really took care of us the entire time. At 5:30 the BBQ happened. Myself and one other from our party were ready, whilst everyone else had already had their fill with the menu items. But boy did they regret the fact that there was no more room in their bellies... because the BBQ spread was INCREDIBLE: A full salad with all the fixings, RIBS (!!), hamburgers (full size, wonderful patties!), hot dogs (delicious!), chili, mac'n'cheese, watermelon... my goodness it was an immense spread. And all was cooked superbly! And again, plenty of free alcohol as well. As I spoke to the other locals around the BBQ, I kept hearing exactly what my friend Dana said, "We live 5 minutes away... we come here ALL the time... we LOVE this place!" The vibe was COMMUNITY-CENTERED... it was obvious... and as the raffle winners were called, the entire place exploded into claps and whistles as each of the winners' names were called. Golden Knights jerseys, golf caddies, backpacks... it was all soo lovely, but those prizes were just icing on the cake... a "cake" consisting of a true LOCAL restaurant and it's COMMUNITY... each expressing their support for each other. My husband and I were floored. And humbled to see the entire event play out.... something you don't see enough of anymore. May Summit Tavern continue to enjoy their success in the neighborhood, and may other establishments learn from Summit Tavern's success! And THANK YOU... for a wonderful evening, Summit Tavern staff and all who made the night truly special.

I was told to sit wherever I wanted, so I took a small booth. Mondays are 50% off food for locals and that was the thing that drew me in. They give you free chips and salsa and let me tell you, their salsas are very good. My order was taken very quickly and I ordered the chicken taquitos and carnitas street tacos. Oh, and they have Coca-Cola products which is a plus! The chicken taquitos were ok, nice presentation. A little over fried but not too bad. The carnitas tacos were not good because they had way too much salt. I had them sent back and replaced with chicken wings (buffalo). These were fried in beef tallow, another plus. The wings were really good and I would definitely order them again. The wings came with fries and they too were good. Fries were cooked perfectly, slight crisp crunch and fluffy inside. The waitress apologized for the salty tacos and took them off my bill, which I appreciated. I will be returning to try other items and will update as necessary.
