My sister and I came here for an early dinner, and we got to sit in the patio! It was a beautiful space - but we were tucked away in the back next to the parking lot. It was a bit strange considering the dinner rush wasn't going to be starting soon. Our waiter though was fantastic, and played along with our vibes. The ceasar salad was DIVINE. The Capicola pizza I ordered was delicious! It was summer on a plate - bright flavors from the fennel, and a nice salty touch from the green olives. I would absolutely come back here again for that pizza. We also ordered dessert and their gelato is a BIG 3 scoops so be ready for that. The inside was also beautiful, and I'd love to take my husband here to get a good city feel. The staff was so nice as well! Parking is available at the garage next door for $20 or there is street parking as well.

I've always heard great things about this pace but I wasn't impressed. First when I arrived they couldn't find our reservation which ended up not being a big deal since there was no wait and promptly seated us. However it took almost ten minutes to be greeted by our server. When he brought our bottle of wine I added a salad which never came and wasn't on bill so another forgotten item. Ambiance was nice outside so I'll give them that.

I was super pleased with our visit to Edera recently. It was very busy so would recommend reservations! Staff was attentive and came to get our plates when finished (some may have moved fast and spilled some of the food on the table without wiping, but not a big deal) and refilled our water repeatedly. We ordered a variety of food, at least one item from each section. We enjoyed our meal and had nothing bad to say! Worth the visit!

Amazing experience. Heard raving reviews about this fancy Italian eatery and I was not disappointed. We had a lovely experience. Ordered Margherita Pizza with Brussel sprouts and it was super good ! Both the dishes were fabulous. My friend ordered stuffed carrots and surprisingly enough, they were awesome !!!. We finished with amaretto pie and what a blissful taste. The place has such nice ambience with excellent service. For sure, coming back.

Great environment in the heart of central west end, love the lights and the garden setup. The drinks were great, also loved the kale salad it's very vinegary but I loved it. The pasta was little too salty for us but maybe we will try pizza next time, good for a date spot or friend group hangout. Our server was very helpful and friendly and parking is ok if you look hard enough, everything is close so you can take a little walk around the area.

Edera is such a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere. The space is really pretty, and the staff has always been welcoming and friendly whenever I visit. It's definitely a nice place for a relaxed meal or night out. Some of the dishes were a bit hit or miss for me. The pasta I ordered was on the salty side, and the salmon leaned a little salty as well. The margherita pizza was on the smaller side, but still shareable. The Brussels sprouts were really good and definitely a standout. Overall, I think Edera is worth visiting for the atmosphere and service.

Edera recently opened their summer season with Aperol and Aphrodisiacs! The courtyard is stunning & ready for a date night or a girls night on the town. This is for my Aperol lovers! Spritz and Slushies are available with a full dinner menu! Dress up & head to Edera for a night out!

We decided to check out Edera on a Friday night. We were looking for a heated patio but Edera changes their patio to heated chalets in the winter that you have to pay to reserve. We decided to just reserve for inside instead. The inside is dark and moody which makes for a great date spot. Our server was attentive and kind. They started us off with bread and drinks. The bread has a nice cheese crust on it and the butter is a little sweet. We also ordered the tomato and burrata. For mains I ordered the orecchiette and my partner got the pappardelle bolognese. Both were delicious and perfect portion sizes. The pesto on the orecchiette was so flavorful and salted just right. We will definitely be back to check out the patio once it's warm out.

Such a cute date night, girls night out, work dinner, etc. vibe place in central west end. Parking is all street parking and they don't validate, but I think it's free after 7pm. They take reservations which is nice. The menu is the perfect size - not too overwhelming yet still plenty of choices. I fell in love with the carrots. They were so delicious, I was obsessed. The stuffed pasta sauce was good but I didn't love the pasta itself, didn't seem fully cooked. The margherita pizza was good, but just your standard wood fired pizza in my humble opinion. Next time I'd get more veggie options and a different pasta or pizza.

I've heard a great deal of hype surrounding Edera and have only visited once several years ago, so I was excited to pay another visit. I love the vibe inside the restaurant -- I would describe it as classy and modern. The service was top-tier. Our waitress was kind, and a floater was quick to help us with a spilled drink. As far as the food, we left happy. The star of the show for me was the orecchiette, with basal pesto and topped with pistachio. The pesto was some of the best I've had in St. Louis, and the pistachios added a salty crunch. I added chicken to my dish which I was a bit hesitant because it cost $10. However, the portion was quite large. We also shared the pepperoni pizza and tomato and burrata. Both I would say worst standard. The crust did taste very fresh, but there was an overwhelming amount. I love burrata but the dish overall lacked flavor and wow factor. I left Edera full and happy. I definitely want to go back to try other menu items!

Exceeded every expectation. My friend selected Edera for our girls night out and I am thrilled she did! First, my espresso martini was exceptional. I am very picky when it comes to EM's and it was delectable. The Burrata was savory and a perfect start to the meal. We shared a pizza and were not disappointed. Portions were perfect for sharing and I'm glad we did or we surely would have had over eaten for lack of being able to stop ourselves! Service was prompt, respectful, and elevated. Absolutely would recommend for a girls night out, date night, or just because.

The ambiance , the aesthetic, 5/5 The food 3/5 The cocktails 4/5 Table appetizer was delicious. However, I think I personally ordered the wrong entree for my palate. So I will def give this place another chance. Providing 3 stars with hopes of enjoying something better next time.

Forever obsessed with Edera and their outdoor patio. I truly don't think there is a patio that gives the same vibe as they do in stl. It's a piece of heaven in the middle of the city. I made a reservation because I just do that anytime I can. I always recommend doing it, you never know when a crowd can pop up. We were seated in the walls of flowers and leaves, it's nicely shaded and so comfortable. I ordered an NA spritz type mocktail which was lovely. We started with the chopped salad. It was full of goodies but still light and reaching. Vinaigrette wasn't heavy and added a nice flavor. For my meal I ordered the pappardelle bolognese and it was wildly good. I love a good pasta and the ribbons were wide and easy to put on your fork. The pork and rosemary were nice additions to the flavor! Always will recommend Edera!

I was taught by brother that you should book your first dinner reservation as after flying all day, one is tired, and not able to make good decisions...hence eating at a TGI Fridays in New Orleans on our first night. The vibe inside was warm, cozy, and sophisticated. There is also a small patio area that seemed to have a much different vibe. We were seated in a busy area of the restaurant, so there was frequent traffic passing by our table, which took away from the vibe a bit. It didn't bother us but I can see how it could bother others. Everyone we interacted with from the hostess to our waiter Brian and the other servers passing by our table, was friendly and welcoming. The manager even stopped to chat with us while we waited for our Uber. Now for the food, we started with the toasted ravioli we had heard so much about and it was good. For the main dish, we went with the lobster spaghetti which was one of the day's specials. The portion size was generous making it the perfect dish to share with my son. The dish was filled with lobster, shrimp, and other seafood, all tossed in a rich buttery sauce. We both really enjoyed it. Even though we were full from dinner, we didn't want to leave without trying dessert so we took a slice of carrot cake back to the hotel. It made a great late night snack. The cake was moist and the cream cheese icing was delicious. Overall, this is a nice spot for an Italian dinner.

Being from the Bay Area in California, I had never heard of toasted ravioli so I added it to my itinerary. I found this place on Yelp and saw that Guy Fieri (another Bay Area native) had featured it on his show so I settled on Anthonino's. I walked over from the Botanical Garden on a Friday afternoon around 12pm so that I could get a better feel of the streets, locals, surrounding shops, and the Hill neighborhood. The area was very calm, clean, safe and had a sense of pride. I enjoyed the sights and sounds throughout the streets and by the time I arrived at the front door, I was super excited to eat. I was seated quickly at the bar and given a menu and water. The bar staff were friendly and pleasant to talk to and also took my order within a few minutes. The restaurant quickly filled up behind me and it was a lively environment. I really appreciated that the TVs had sports shows on (huge sports fan and was in town to visit Busch Stadium) so it gives you something to look at. I ordered the toasted ravioli and a tiramisu. As a solo traveler, I have to limit how much I can order so this was the perfect amount for me. The food was amazing and I wished that I could have tried more plates. The ravioli had great flavors and texture and the tiramisu was so creamy and fresh. I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself. The customer service from all staff members was amazing! Thank you for this experience :)

I never actually saw the inside of the restaurant because one member of our party needed handicap accessibility, and unfortunately the entrance only had steps with no alternate accessible entry available. Thankfully, it was a beautiful evening and we were able to dine comfortably at one of the outdoor tables. Our server was kind, attentive, and very helpful throughout the meal. We started by sharing a few appetizers including the toasted ravioli, which St. Louis is famous for, along with calamari. Both were enjoyable and a great way to begin the meal. The meals came with bread, butter, and a bottle of seasoned oil for dipping, which was a nice touch. My entrée included a salad with a sweet Italian dressing that I absolutely loved -- honestly, I would have been perfectly happy eating a larger portion of just the salad. For my main course, I chose the veal parmigiana. The flavor was good, although the veal itself was slightly tough, and the pasta side came with shells rather than traditional spaghetti. To finish the evening, we shared tiramisu and a cannoli for dessert. Both were enjoyable, but the cannoli definitely won the flavor battle for our table. Overall, despite the accessibility concern, we enjoyed the experience, the service, and many parts of the meal.

One of our traditions is trying a different Italian restaurant each visit based on reviews and recommendations from friends. This time, our party of five chose Mama's, and for most of us it was our first visit. I got a reservation weeks in advance and was clear about what we were celebrating. Starting with the positives, our server was friendly and attentive throughout the evening, and the food was good. Every entree at our table was enjoyable, and nobody left disappointed with their meal. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience fell short of our expectations because of the atmosphere. We were celebrating a significant occasion and were seated in the basement dining area. The space felt very sterile, with white walls, white floors, and a white ceiling. It lacked the warmth, charm, and character that many of us associate with dining on The Hill. The room was also packed with large parties, making it quite loud. Rather than feeling like a special night out, the atmosphere reminded me more of a banquet hall or VFW gathering than an Italian restaurant known for celebrations and family traditions. For me, great dining is about more than just the food. While the meal itself was good, ambiance, setting, and overall experience matter too, especially when celebrating something important. Based on this visit, I wouldn't recommend Mama's for a special occasion, and I don't see myself returning. Good food and friendly service can only carry an experience so far when the atmosphere doesn't match the occasion.

We ordered a bottle of Amarone and enjoyed it with the whole meal. For starters, we ordered the polenta with Italian sausage between the two of us. We could only exclaim about how creamy the polenta was. It was extremely hearty, with some vegetables and thinly sliced Italian sausage. I'm glad that the Italian sausage was thinly sliced because otherwise it would have been overpowering for my palette. The next dish that my daughter had was technically a Caprese salad, which was tomato and mozzarella. She didn't like the red onion, but had asked for balsamic vinegar on the side, which she added to the salad, and when I tried the balsamic vinegar, even I realized that it is one of the best that I have ever had. My daughter went with the gnocchi, and said that it was among the best that she had ever had. We shared a veal and mushroom risotto between the two of us, and it was perfectly moist, the veal was not overpowering, and it was perfectly cooked. The veal just simply melted in the mouth. My osso buco came on a saffron risotto, and the osso buco was fantastic, tender, and simply delightful.
