We noticed on Friday that the fan in our A/C unit wasn't coming on. A technician came out who informed us the problem was the inside fan had stopped working. We were given a quote for the repair/replacement but because of the age of the unit they recommended purchasing a new air conditioner. We then scheduled two other companies, one of which was Lindstrom, to come out the next day, on Saturday, to obtain estimates. We told each of the companies we would review their quotes and get back to them on Sunday afternoon. Lindstrom was the clear winner among the three and here's why. Our salesman, Robert DiRusso was exceptionally knowledgeable about the products he was selling, took the time to get to understand what we wanted in a new unit (energy saving, comfort, two stage unit, good warranty & service). He was assertive but not pushy in his sales pitch which we appreciated. His previous career as an A/C technician with Lindstrom, handling both installations and repairs, gave him a unique advantage and enabled him to answer all of our questions without hesitation. We were very impressed and appreciated the time he took with us. We called back the next afternoon and let Robert know we accepted his proposal and would like to hire Lindstrom to install our new A/C unit. Their price, warranty (10 years parts & labor), 12 month supply of air filters, and inclusion of the 1st, 6th month maintenance were added bonuses. Since it was a long holiday weekend and most businesses were closed in observance of the holiday on Monday, we fully expected the installation to be scheduled on Tuesday at the earliest. We were pleased and pleasantly surprised when Robert informed us our installation was scheduled for 9am on Monday morning. As promised an installation team headed by Faustin Pierre and assisted by technicians Nick & Maceline arrived on time on Monday and worked diligently to install our new system. Renardo, who is a supervisor, was also on site first thing that morning, to ensure everything was in place that would be required to ensure a trouble free installation. These gentleman were very professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled, were very pleasant to deal with, and exhibited great comradery while working together. They prepared the areas they would need to access by placing coverings on our floors to protect them before beginning work and treated our home with great care and respect, as they would if they were working in their own homes. When the job was completed, they not only removed all of the debris both inside and out of our home, but they vacuumed the entire work area inside to remove any dirt or small pieces of copper wire that may have remained. They additionally took all of the old equipment with them for proper disposal as was stipulated in our contract. We would not hesitate to recommend Lindstrom because of their excellent service, pricing, work ethic and dedication of their employees, who clearly enjoy working for this family owned company. When Lindstrom installed my Trane 4 ton system in 2007, I was very complimentary of their service. Over the next 10 years I experienced a gradual decline in both their service and the skill level of their technicians. For the entire 10 year period, I paid for a twice a year system maintenance. I believe the price was $189 per year. Most of the maintenance work was sub par at best. In and out as fast as possible. In several cases, I had to call to have the technician come back to clean or fix something that should have been handled during the maintenance check. After several years, I would end up cleaning the air filtration system myself because it was obvious that the technician had not cleaned it (which is part of the maintenance). The other issue is that Lindstrom will not call you at 6 month intervals to schedule the semi-annual check-ups. Unlike all my other home service contracts, they leave it up to the homeowner to call. When I asked several years ago why they do not call to arrange an appointment for their service, I was told they are too busy and it is the homeowner's responsibility??? During the course of 10 years I missed several maintenance services since keeping track of service schedules should not be my priority, but should be the service provider's priority. The most recent service deviation came this past month when our A/C started blowing "cool" air. The July temperatures reached 88 degrees in our home. I called Lindstrom and a technician came out and said the air handler coil had frozen up. He said to let it thaw out and he would be back later in the day to diagnose the problem and charged us $89 (for a 10 minute service call). He never came back and at 9:30 pm another technician showed up to diagnose the problem. He checked the pressure on the outside A/C unit and said it was leaking R-22 Freon. He said that a pound of Freon would cost $125 and that the unit would require several pounds amounting to several hundreds of dollars. He recommended that he set up an appointment for an estimate on a new system for the next day. A Lindstrom sales person came the next day and quoted us $8,000 for a new system. During that same day, I was explaining our situation to our next door neighbor and he suggested getting a second opinion from his A/C company. His company came our the same day and pressure tested the R-22 lines. The technician said the R-22 was 2 pounds low and that it would cost $90 to top it off. He also explained that the low R-22 is what caused the inside coils to freeze up. He added the Freon and the A/C immediately started blowing 52 degree cold air! It has now been 2 weeks and we are still blowing cold air! 3 Lindstrom "professionals" came to our house and not one suggested topping off the R-22 to see if their really was a leak?? All they wanted to do was sell a new system for $8,000. A very sad commentary on a 10 year relationship! read more

I have never had such a professional, knowledgeable, dependable and honest crew of men do work on my house as I did with Lindstrom Plumbing. Kevin Bedell was my plumbing field supervisor, Tim Cyr was my main plumbing specialist and Michael Pieper was the 2nd plumbing specialist. Kevin was prompt and available to come to my home and explain in detail what was needed and how they would do the work. He left me with a very reasonable quote and I felt very relaxed that he was the best and knew what he was doing. Kevin set up for Tim to be my plumbing specialist and Mike was chosen by Tim to do the work with him. The things they figured out to rerun my plumbing in the best way possible was mind blowing....through the attic, through the ceilings...little damage and done in 10 hours. They were prompt, worked very quickly and the work is beautiful. I could finally exhale as this was a very big project. They had to install plumbing to all of my house. No longer does plumbing get repaired under the slab as the better option now is through walls and ceilings. Not only all of this with how well they work, but they are all also a pleasure to be around as well and will explain anything you ask. The final invoice was for exactly the amount given on Kevin's quote. I think they did some extra work as well as they didn't like way it had been done by previous plumber. Tim also referred me an amazing dry wall expert who's work I am also very happy with. I had a pipe under the slab of the house begin leaking. I had my regular plumber come originally as I thought it was probably the washing machine or hot water heater. Once he ruled out this wasn't the problem and found the leak was under the slab, he began the work replacing the pipes in the kitchen area walls. He would not show up for days when he had said he was coming. He left for 6 days when there was no cold water to the bathrooms, it was dragging on forever. When I told him I could get another plumbing company in if he didn't have time for my job, he finally showed up. I needed to see pictures of his work as all of this was taking place when I was out of town working. Only my roommate was there. When this other plumber sent me pictures of the work, I told him to stop working and I would be in town the next day. The work wasn't good...it was pretty awful. Anyway, I researched plumbing companies with good reviews and decided on Lindstrom. I called and booked an appointment for the next day. Best decision of my life. "I love the guys"!!!! Lindstrom Air Conditioning installed our A/C system about a month ago. I wanted to give an update on how it is performing. We have an extremely challenging home to cool as it was originally designed with a 2 stage damper system back in 1981. Our house is 3000 sq ft under air, has vaulted ceilings and impact doors and windows. The damper system failed many years ago due to corrosion and the manufacturer of that system went out of business. We have a very humid house and that makes us constantly lowering the temperature to try to get the house colder, especially when we are going to bed. Also when we are away for a trip, upon returning we have a damp musty smell that greets us and is disgusting. Most of our neighbors have 2 A/C systems in their houses which allows them to zone their house and run each system depending on where they are in the house. It really is an efficient method of being cool when you sleep and being cool when you are up and about in the kitchen and living areas. However, our house was not originally designed for this and we are consequently lacking the needed closets to house the 2 air handlers. Making things even more interesting is that residential A/C units only go up to 5 tons and if you need more BTU's to cool and dehumidify, you need a 2nd system. We retained a mechanical engineering firm to do a manual J evaluation and they said "theoretically a 5 ton A/C system that had a high BTU rating could satisfactorily cool and dehumidify our home". We called Lindstrom and 4 other firms to give us their solutions and Lindstrom had absolutely the most creative and efficient solutions. Nick P. an extremely knowledgeable and experienced salesman, came out several times to present his proposals to deal with our problems. Knowing full well, that it was going to be extremely difficult to achieve low humidity and cool our house, he designed a system that he said would make us very happy. We have learned over the past 30 days that Nick's level of experience with these types of complex solutions is fabulous. None of the other companies solutions made any sense, and we got the feeling that they did not want to answer our questions and only wanted "the job". Nick delivered along with his team from Lindstrom, everything that he had promised us. Our daily humidity went from 68-72% down to 44-48%! Consequently we were able to raise our daytime and nighttime thermostat temps and our house is cold! I also would like to thank Travis, Steven and Michael, the 3 supervisors that visited our house at different times during the installation process, to insure our job was perfect. Germaine and his install team did a beautiful job and Matt, Lindstrom's electrician, moved wires and installed a new fuse box outside seamlessly. I had Air Around the Clock and a Trane warranty that came with the purchase of a unit from them. AAC did not honor the warranty and I had no time to fight with them as my 93 year old Mom was very ill at the time and we needed air conditioning ASAP to prevent heat stroke for Mom as she was/is very sensitive to heat. I had to rent a hotel room to keep her cool while I fought with AA because the temperature in the home was intolerable. I decided to start over and picked Lindstrom. What a relief. No more stress. I won't go into the details of my multi-year history with Lindstrom. I will give as an example of the service I have received, a problem with the thermostat. The thermostat set point would drop from time to time to 78 degrees. Not every day, just some days. Lindstrom sent out Rodney who identified that the problem with the temperature setting defaulting to 78 was probably due to mini power surges (we WERE seeing these in our lights dimming but never tied these to the temperature set point defaulting until Rodney asked some questions). Just in case, Lindstrom approved Rodney to replace the thermostat with the SAME thermostat model to rule out the thermostat itself. AT NO COST TO ME. When the problem continued, the thermostat was ruled out and Rodney recommended that we replace the newly replaced thermostat with one using a battery instead; that way the power surge would not cause the thermostat to default the system to 78 degrees as was happening with the thermostat running off electricity (in lieu of a battery). Sure enough, after Rodney installed the new battery operated thermostat (years after the A/C -thermostat purchase) AT NO COST TO ME AGAIN, no more problem. Being a caregiver, I have my hands full. It is a blessing to know that Lindstrom and Rodney will take care of Mom and me if there is a problem ; and I don't need to worry about Mom overheating because I have a warranty which the installer does not honor. Lindtrom has their own warranty and intergrity. I would highly recommend Lindstrom. they send someone out as often as needed and at no cost to me because I purchased from them. Oh, and if you want the best of the best, ask that they sent out Rodney: He listens and SOLVES problems. He does not put Band-Aids on them. Thanks Rodney and Lindstrom for backing me up. read more

These repairs were for my tenant's apartment. So here it goes... my experience with this company was nonetheless, WAY BELOW PAR! First off, they came out after hours, which I told them was NOT necessary but they said that there is no extra charge for doing so. I thought that to be a bit odd. Anyway, I went along with this, thinking that it would be okay, only to realize this indeed was NOT the truth. They worked on my air conditioning unit which apparently had a bad compressor that needed replacing (b/c the piston was locked????). They did the work, called me up, charged me an astronomical $824 and told me that it would take time for the system to pump down (after I asked whether it was fixed or not.). Not being a mechanical type of guy, not knowing A SINGLE THING about air conditioning, I let my guard down IN TRUSTING them. WOW! What a mistake that was. They told me that it would need close 2 to 3 hours to cool again. My tenant called me the next morning, complaining about the same thing- the air conditioner not working. I called them back and they wanted to charge me another fee to come back. So I called another company, which came out within hours. They told me verbatim, "You did not need your compressor replaced" and that "the only thing I needed was an $8 dollar capacitor, with labor a total of $148!!!!! I almost soiled my pants! No joke! When I called them to inquire, they couldn't answer my questions, put me on hold, hung up on me and told me to talk to a "manager" who amazingly enough was never there! Please, whatever you do, whoever is reading this, do yourself a HUGE favor and stay as FAAAAAAR away from these guys as humanly possible. I purchased a Trane AC from Lindstrom Air Conditioning & Plumbing in 2018, and from the very first day, it's been a constant source of problems. The initial installation was poorly executed. The base they designed didn't even fit the unit properly, and as a result, the air filter media couldn't be installed correctly. It took three separate service calls before they finally resorted to an improvised fix. Despite investing in their annual maintenance plan and having my unit serviced twice a year, I've encountered issues every single year. The most recent experience was the tipping point. The first technician who came out blamed a strange noise on a vibrating pipe, and when I asked him to investigate further, he actually said it was "above his pay grade" and did no diagnostics. Unsatisfied, I called the company back and they sent a second technician who did address the issue, but only after he'd completed the work did he inform me there was a $225 charge. When I questioned why this wasn't disclosed upfront, they told me I could either pay it or use up my second annual maintenance visit to cover the cost. The maintenance done in August was clearly subpar--apparently the drain wasn't cleaned properly--and now I'm stuck footing the bill for it. Lindstrom was recently bought out by another company, and it seems like they're dismissing my concerns and any notion of taking responsibility for the unit or the quality of their work. I cannot recommend Lindstrom Air Conditioning & Plumbing. My experience has been nothing but frustration and unexpected expenses from a system that should have performed reliably and been installed correctly in the first place. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from Lindstrom. I had placed an online order for their services, but the following day, a technician from a different AC company arrived at my doorstep. He informed me that my information had been provided to him by a friend working at Lindstrom. It was evident that my order had not been confirmed by Lindstrom. Frustrated by this confusion, I immediately contacted Lindstrom and spoke with their supervisor. To my surprise, they acknowledged having my information on record but could not provide a reasonable explanation for the lack of confirmation. I pointed out that there appeared to be a serious breakdown in their internal communication processes. The supervisor, however, insisted that I must have scheduled service with the other company and claimed that I had not accurately recalled which service provider I contacted. This was not the case, as I had specifically intended to order services from Lindstrom through their online platform. The very next day, a Lindstrom technician finally arrived, but to my disappointment, he stated that nothing could be done to address the issue with my A/C unit. He collected $80 for the service without providing a receipt or any information regarding the problem. He mentioned that I would receive an email with further details, but as of today, I have not received any communication from Lindstrom to explain the situation or provide a resolution. This experience has left me deeply unsatisfied and concerned about Lindstrom's professionalism and service quality. I expect a prompt and clear response from the company to address this situation and rectify the issues I have encountered. read more

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I help take care of my neighbor's house, which they are in their 80's. On this day they tried to change their refrigerator filter by themselves without calling me and she did not screw it in all they way because she is 86 yrs old so it started leaking water. Because they could not get ahold of me they called Lindstrom. The technician charged them $300 to screw in the filter all the way and wet vac up additional water on the kitchen floor. When he was finished I asked him what their service call was an hr rate. My dear neighbors that I have been looking out for over 10 years because of their age have been taken advantage of big time!!! They should of been charged a service call and one hr labor. $178.00. NOT $300. I also called Lindstrom about 5 years myself just to see if they are really padding their bills. I can tell you that they also quoted a job for me for a water leak for $1,600 which I got fixed the same day after they left for $230. They tried to burn me for $1,400. If I ever see their trucks again in my neighborhood I will alert everyone as to their shady business practices. I see why they have a 2 star rating on Yelp it should be one star if that. I have the mentioned job above receipt if the owner of Lindstrom contacts me and adjust the bill accordingly to $178.00 I will remove this review. I am writing this on behalf of my 81 year old mom, who was very satisfied with the recent service call by Alin Norcius of Lindstrom. Back in January of 2017 she had purchased a Quick Release A/C Coil UV Treatment System for the Carrier A/C System purchased from Lindstrom in April of 2013. We believe the system will prolong the life of the coils which was a serious issue with deterioration of the prior a/c unit that came with the newly built condo in 2000. The purchase of this UV Treatment System unit came with a 5 year warranty on the ballast & a 2 year warranty on the bulb. When the "blue light" from the bulb went out this past week, just 5 months after purchase, my mom called Lindstrom. Alin Norcius was here the next day and addressed all the concerns expeditiously, professionally, & proficiently. The bulb did not go but simply went off and sometimes happens (could have been triggered during a recent storm) and there was a switch, out of reach for my mom, to simply turn it back on. Alin installed a switch at her height level and showed her the safest method of checking to see if the light is on (never look at it but just check the reflection on the side wall from the switch mechanism) & to turn the switch back on should it be out. So should this ever happen again, a simple flick of the switch will correct the problem rather than waiting for a service call. Thank you Lindstrom and Alin Norcius. read more
