Restaurant was very nice. It's not in your typical dining district but what I'd consider off the beaten path. It's beautiful inside really romantic. I dressed up just based on what I thought it was going to be but other patrons were VERY causal. So go with what will make you comfortable. Food was great and tasty. I'd consider them larger portions. I had the salmon with spinach and fingerlings potato with squash puree. Others in my party substituted the pop for masted potatoes. I heard the flounder was good as well as the prime ribeye. Salads are large enough for 3 people to share. Drinks were good moderately priced, wine seemed a little expensive for a glass. My wife enjoyed dinner for the first time at 16 Prime and we thoroughly enjoyed it! As we celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary, they kindly brought us two glasses of champagne. We began with a manhattan and vodka gimlet for our cocktails accompanied with their complimentary bread and butter which was delicious. We split a Caesar salad because it was so large followed by our entrees. She had scallops, creamed corn jalapeño and asparagus. I had a perfectly cooked 14z medium rare prime ribeye and the prime potatoes with bacon, cheese and sour cream. We were very pleased with the service, ambience and outstanding entrees. I've waited quite a while to visit this space, and it was worth the wait! There is a lovely covered patio for dining al fresco when the weather is nice, but the interior is very hip and modern, so you might choose to sit in these lush environs. We chose inside. To my surprise, they didn't try to cram all of us in one small area like most restaurants do; they kept all of the diners equally spaced out to give the illusion of privacy. The servers are highly trained and delightful. Ours had perfected the art of being attentive without hovering. We lacked nothing during our visit, I've never been served quite so masterfully. The food was incredible, especially for Denver of the East. We have quite a few "quick" restaurants to choose from, but not many "date night" spots; this one definitely qualifies. We tried shrimp, sea bass, ravioli and steak. All were heavenly. Since we were celebrating birthdays, we all split a huge piece of chocolate cake. Also divine. Just had the best steak I have had since moving to North Carolina. Perfectly cooked, juicy, tender and flavorful. They had a great surf and turf special that was more than we could eat for less than $45. Outstanding value and great food. Roger was an excellent server and couldn't have performed better. We've been waiting to eat here & it didn't disappoint. We decided to eat at the bar & enjoyed chatting with both the bartenders. The ambiance inside is romantic with elevated decor. They also have covered patio seating. I ordered an Italian Mule with amaretto & it was very tasty. The bread service comes with some amazing butter, so don't skip it. We love octopus and even though my husband never eats olives, he loved this version. It comes with toasted bread, pickled onions, capers, sliced olives & EVOO. Our entrees and additional sides were delicious with generous portions. I ordered the filet (cooked perfectly) & he got the salmon. He kept commenting on how wonderful the squash purée tasted. We also got the creamed corn & Brussels sprouts---amazing! It says the sides will feed 2-3, but we had lots leftover to take home. Next time we will leave room for dessert! read more

Grossly overrated. We went with some friends and we were all pretty disappointed. How they can charge $57 for a mediocre steak that wasn't cooked well is beyond me. We only went because everyone seems to rant and rave about the place. We went back to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It was bad again. Also, the waiter was quite odd and very unkept with a messy beard and hair. It was very loud as well and seating isn't spectacular either. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. read more

My wife and I had an amazing experience. Roger was terrific as were all the staff. The bread & compound butter were delicious, the lobster bisque was outstanding. Cocktails were excellent and they took no time at all to arrive. Wife got the flounder and it was amazing, perfectly cooked and good-sized portion. I got the sea bass, it came out piping hot and perfectly-cooked. I appreciate a restaurant who handles fresh seafood properly. All the food was perfectly salted, hot and made with care. The coconut cake was dense and doughy in the middle, not our favorite, we'll try a different dessert next time. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant was not too loud which was appreciated. The service was excellent, very fast and very attentive. We didn't have to wait too long for anything, they were on top of it all. Wish there was more parking because the lot was overfull and people were parking all along the busy road. We were lucky to get a seat as they were booked for all reservations on a Saturday night. We ended up sitting at the tall tables near the bar, and Roger waited on us. He had excellent recommendations as he has tried every dish on the menu several times. His recommendations were right on. It was as good as Del Frisco's. Nickel and Dime you to death. Certainly not a place that you can get food cooked the way you want it. I'm fed up. Last time my group of 6 friends will ever go back. They don't allow substitutions. Seriously! My wife is deathly allergic to asparagus. "No substitutions". Have to spend an additional $15 for an enormous pile of Brussel Sprouts. Three or four would have been plenty for a 110lb women. More than $40 for a dinner and they don't allow a simple substitution. Perhaps you shouldn't be in the hospitality business. read more

I didn't have high expectations for another restaurant in Denver. Most places here are below average EXCEPT for this one!!!! OMG!!! Dreaming of the moment I can go back. I went with friends, we all ordered different steaks, all amazing. Melt in your mouth, no fork needed amazing. We also had the shrimp appetizer which it was not overly saucy and cooked to perfection. Let's talk about the sides....mashed potatoes were great, mushrooms were EXCEPTIONAL. I had an Apple pear martini and it was very tasty. I must say that the bar order took a long time to come out, we could not all get our drinks at the same time. I didn't order a dessert but they all sound very delicious, I wish they had crème brûlée. It's early in a restaurant's life to write its biography, but there are areas this restaurant needs to address. The first is ambience. The tables are bistro seating. Much too close together. Secondly, they say there's a dress code when it isn't enforced. It looked like an average night in a sports bar complete with a crying baby in the background. Not exactly the elegence they are tying to convey. Thirdly, they are overdoing the disches. By that I mean they don't allow the food to speak for itself. The sea bass I had was overwhemlmed by an orange sauce which completely comouflaged the fish. The restaurant is trying to justify their prices ($42 for the sea bass) with extravagent treatments. The octapus, for example at $16 was smothered in oil overwhemling its delicate flavor. I would try them again in 6 months when hopefully, the treatment of their dishes begin to match their prices. read more
