We sat in a booth, where half of the finish had been rubbed off on the table. The table was sticky. My husband had fried chicken, that was undercooked, mussels, that he had to spit out, even onion rings that he said were terrible. I had sushi, which was very good, but anything I tried from the hot area was disappointing. To be honest, as a nurse. I don't like the idea of a buffet, but that's where he wanted to go. The buffet has very few Chinese food choices. 1 row was sushi. 1was dessert. 1was fried crap. Hibachi station & 1 actual chinese entree row with 8dishes out of which 4 were noodles & rice. 2 had shrimp (I'm allergic). You are not allowed to serve yourself. Ling's is not worth the hype people in polk county give it. It is very mediocre chines food. For the prices they ask, it's not worth it. I went to lings for a friends birthday dinner but on a regular day I'd rather order take out than go here. I only gave it 2 stars because 1 they have sushi, and 2 it's fresh. The staff was also a bit out of it. My friend made a reservation several days prior to us going since she had invited over 20 people. Read the other reviews before heading in, they were all over the place. We got recommended Lings by a family member but It had been awhile since they had been themselves. All in all it was decent. The place is very large for seating. The staff was great and attentive, we got refills on drinks without even asking or even before being empty. Plates cleared quickly. They had plenty of options thats for sure. Well organized. I visited the hibachi area and the gentleman checked to see if the chicken was cooked thru (that was a complaint on another review, raw chicken) he was nice, and friendly and quick. My partner got the sushi (appears to me made in house from what I could see). He stated it all tasted the same no matter what he got except for the sauce that was on it. So if looking to go for sushi may rethink that. My food was a tad bland but not horrible. They have small pans so the food was always being turned over quickly which I think is a plus! All in all it is a buffet so for 18$ it was decent. Hell I've paid way more for other meals and just as satisfied. read more

Staff was very friendly and I never went below half a cup of water. Everytime I got up to get more my empty plate would be gone with I sat back down. Food was very impressive for a buffet restaurant. Noodles were great and all their meat selections and sauces tasted very good. Not a fan of sushi but they had a wide variety of different types that my mom said was pretty good. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star is because the rib meat tasted pretty funky, the sauce on it was very good but the meat itself wasn't. I ended up just licking all the sauce lol. Went at dinner time on Labor Day. Not fresh and my wife and I both were nauseous and stomachs were rolling when we left.

This is my go to place if i want food without a wait. The sushi is ok not the best but its all you can eat. The kimchi though is really good. The cold bar has peel and eat shrimp and muscles. Plus standard salad bar items. There is also 3 hot lines. Ham and prime rib on night menu. Though if you like rare get there early. The hot line has severel shrimp dishes which i enjoy. There is also a hibachi grill in the back. I personally haven't tried. I fill up on the shrimp and sushi. The place is usually busy and the items are changed out frequently ao the food has always been hot and decently seasoned. If you need food now and dont want fastbfood give em a try. read more

It's probably best suited to say this place is just MEH. It's not terrible but it's not amazing either. I believe I went in the late afternoon so it was dinner prices. Honestly I didn't think their selection warranted the price per person. I believe it was like 16.99 or something like that. The decor is decent but mostly what you'd find in any buffet in town. Nothing too nice. The size of the actual space is huge so hey if you happen to wanna go eat with 15 other people and you like average Chinese food maybe this place is for you, The staff was attentive and polite, for that I am thankful and probably a factor in their three star vs a two. Look, I know that with the pandemic we need to be understanding. But, you can't charge $15.99 for a buffet with very little on it. What was there was not fresh and we went before 5pm. The hibachi grill was meh. The staff barely speaks to you and they are serving your food. I spent $40 for two and walked out feeling like I wasted my money. Mall food would have been better. I ate her several years ago and remember it being way better and the staff friendlier. The quality of the main dishes is better than most. Some of the things like the fried rice and other items have been on the tables so long that they were limp, soft or dried out. For the price, that's not acceptable. That's why it only received 3 stars. The soups were very good. 4+ stars for the cook, 3 stars for the freshness on the tables, 4 stars for the service. We eat at Ling's regularly for both lunch and dinner. I recommend going for dinner on the weekend much more than any other time. This is when their food is the best. Okay let me start off with the price it is a nice price for a buffet all the food was hot pineapple chicken was very nice egg rolls were good as well and dumplings were not so bad but the crab Rangoon's did taste good but as I kept eating some of them were not good you can taste the difference salt and pepper chicken was pure bread and tasted like cardboard I would come here again but the only thing is the waiters do like to talk about you while your eating I don't look of there culture but I've learned there language and some of the things I feels like should not be said in a restaurant regardless if they understand or not read more

Food was typical of Chinese buffet. Brightest spot personally....being from buffalo area you cannot get good buffalo wings down here. There Buffalo wings were darn good. This is one of the cleanest Chinese buffets I've been to lol the staff is super nice and they have a huge variety of items to choose from. I especially loved their sushi bar. They had between 15 to 20 rolls, all made fresh and tasted amazing. I would come back just for the sushi buffet alone, but also tried to save room and try other items. We barely ever had dirty plates on the table and our drink cups were always full. I'd come back often if I lived a little closer. But they are definitely worth the trip. They didnt have the hibachi bar open during lunch. It was so busy, everything was going fast and so everything was always hot and fresh.
