As of yet, no response back to my email.** We came here on 7/25 and the inside seemed nice and clean. It took our waitress more than 10mins to get our drink order and the place wasn't even busy. Other customers were actually getting up and asking the busboy for their drinks. The buffet seemed pretty well stocked which was nice. As we served ourselves and ate, I must say the food wasn't great. The shrimp and fried fish were very mushy and the chicken entrees were extremely salty and seasoned bad. I served myself twice being that they brought out "fresh food" but it was just as bad. The almond cookies, which I've had at other Chinese restaurants are usually crispy. These seemed as if they were left out and stale. Overall, it was a bad experience and will not return. It definitely wasn't worth the $42.00 for 2 people. read more

Awful experience at lyns i remember they used to have better quality of food back in the day. The food it seems they use the same food left over from days and put it back on the next day zero fresh quality. All the sodas have no gas they just taste like water with flavor for 4 follars that they charge they should at least taste good. I also think its over priced per person at 17.99 per person and the to gos are also over priced. Service by the waiters and waitreses are not profesional and zero welcoming. At the grill the guy doing the stakes took like 20 mintues to grill a stake longest wait in history. They need better managemnet and somebody that will love to be able to give out and serve good food and high quality service. read more

This place is awful! I paid $15.99 and realized once in that it's gross. I showed up around 4:30 and a lot of the food looked like it was sitting in their tray for a long while. The wings were in sauce but "dry". Lots of food was out but no one was in a rush to put food out. The pot stickers were dry and glazed over from just sitting. The last thing I noticed was a lady wiping down the metal surfaces with a. "Sour" rag..... That was enough for me to put everything down and leave. Never again. read more

A few years back I really enjoyed eating at Lin's regardless of how crowded it can be. Back then the food tasted good and the choices were plenty. Today I was greatly disappointed. We arrived to eat at Lin's buffet on gateway about 20 minutes before noon on a Sunday. Then, it was not crowded but for some reason all of the food did not taste right. Seafood tasted like it had gone bad. Pork was dry and old. Not even the sugar buns had enough sugar. The sushi was lame. There were no pot stickers. Many other choices were present, but everything tasted odd. Everyone in my party felt the same way. I wish I had a better review but I just can't do it. The server was outstanding and the manager was very professional and kind. So much so that she comped our meals. We visited on a Friday night after a long day of traveling. We were staying at a hotel nearby and opted for the buffet, which had a huge selection of seafood. I picked a broiled fillet of fish and some fried fish. After taking the first bite I pushed my plate away. Everything that was supposed to be hot was only lukewarm and the cold crab salad wirh mayo in it was very warm. Perhaps because it was so very warm inside. We were fanning ourselves with our napkins while we ate, lol. The worst thing about this restaurant is the fact that they've known about these issues for years and still haven't done anything at all to fix them. We were in a hurry to eat and get some rest so we didn't take the time to look at the reviews before we went out to eat but we won't make that mistake again. The long list of reviews made mention of the same problems that we did and the dates go back several years. I've been to Lin's quite a bit and I can say, it stays pretty consistent. My last trip was actually on the most stereotypical day for an American to go...Christmas. On a day like Christmas I don't have high expectations for service, you know I really don't even care if the staff smiles at me...I'm part of the reason they can't spend the day with their family so I think they're entitled to this one day out of the entire year where they can frown and not work their fastest. Strangely enough, most of the staff at Lin's was all smiles. They weren't fast, but one out of two ain't bad. We waited a few minutes to be seated, but once we were our drink orders were taken. There were actually more people at Lin's then I expected so most of the food was fresh. The buffet isn't as big as say Hong Kong Buffet, but it is still pretty sizable. Overall experience was good, no complaints with the staff or food. I did have one moment where I was extremely embarrassed to be among the a-holes eating at a buffet when an extremely rude, elderly lady was so impatient for her steak that she started banging on metal with a knife for about 3 minutes. She was totally out of line, Lin's had just opened and you could quite audibly here the staff in the back getting a pep talk. It's fricken Christmas lady, give them a break! I got food poisoning eating here. I went there on October 28, around 8:30pm and the food looked old. I asked the chef if he would make mor fried and his response was no the kitchen was closed. I already had 2 to-go containers in my hand so I Felt bad to leave, which actually would have been the best choice for me. Long story short I spent $16 bucks on food that made me sick enough to be rushed to the ER the next morning. I was sick and out of work for 3 days. Everything was clean.. the floors, tables, no sauces slopped over the pans of food... immaculate! And $9 bucks for lunch??!! WOW!!!! I have included a couple pictures.. keep in mind... Ok so I've heard good very good reviews about this place so I decided to give a try. We went there during lunch time and in my opinion it was a little too pricey. The food is not that great. They have a section where you can choose the raw meat and they cook it for you. The service is not bad, the waiter was attentive to us, but the food is so-so. The only thing I really enjoyed was the bread, it tased very fresh and it comes with melted cheese inside. If I were to ever go back to this place is probably because of their bread. This restaurant had a COVID-19 set up. As a traditional buffet is self-served, we were served our dishes like a regular Chinese take-out (as opposed to Dim Sum). We had to form a line and wait for our server to serve each plate, which was kind of stressful because of the huge counter clear acrylic that divided the server from the customer's breath. Not my favorite. I was not too thrilled neither to see their lack of sushi selection. Almost all of the rolls and handrolls had cream cheese in it which gets pretty gross after awhile. The rest of their food selection was good, typical selection of course. I think i didnt like this place as much since just down the road is Teppanyaki which is AMAZING in their food selection! Me and my girlfriend went here for lunch on June 1st, we went at around 1230, thinking the lunch menu would be fine, 1st off this place is expensive 30 something dollars for two people, the sprite was flat, the food was literally disappointing old and all the trays on the buffet was empty the only thing being refilled was the general tso chicken and rice.The bathroom was sketchy the lights flicker on and off. The fruit wasn't fresh at all, the jello wasn't good, idk how you mess up jello, the restaurant was really dirty looking up at the air vents will make you not hungry anymore. Very disappointing that there was no fresh food the sushi looked very old and smelled bad. The ice cream is in these tubs in a freezer it looks like it was melted then refrozen. My brother loves Chinese Food! Whenever he comes to SoCal, we go out and have Chinese because it's his favorite. When I went to visit him, he said he was going to take me to have some Chinese food. El Paso is not known for their cuisine but I was hanging with my bro right? When we got to this place, I was kinda surprised to see that it was a buffet. I thought 'where the hell is my brother bringing me?' The host was Mexican, the waiters and waitresses were Mexican and I am pretty sure the cooks were Mexican. I thought I was heading down an unpleasant dive into mediocrity. Was I wrong! The food here is above par for a buffet joint. They had a couple of dishes which I had never seen at an Asian buffet (which this wasn't, this was a Chinese buffet, big difference). I love to eat, it's one of my favorite things to do and I have had my share of buffet and promptly 'pigged' out but trust me, I have never, ever had 5 plates in one sitting. I wanted to eat everything, some of it twice (or thrice). Put it to you another way...this was the day before Thanksgiving and I couldn't have much on Thanksgiving because of the fabulous buffet at Lin's. From now on, my stops will include a stop at Lin's. Sorry Chico's Tacos, you may not see me as much anymore... The last thing I wanted to say is that I gave this place 5 stars because it is the best Chinese (or Asian) buffet I have ever had...if I was comparing it to most sit-down Chinese restaurants that I love to go to, this would not have rated that high. Not happy about asking for something when your in a buffet setting, especially ice cream..
