This is one of my favorite buffets in Yuma. The food is delicious and the service has been great so far. I have not experienced any disappointments yet. The only negative expression I may share is that the buffet does not have a variety of deserts, or at least the staff should add more deserts. Staff is nice and there is a great variety of food. You pay before you sit and can even add a tip. The buffet is clean but could be cleaner. The bathrooms were..well clean enough I guess...I gave it 4 stars cause I wasn't expecting to get a mouth full of msg which made me sick :( I'm not sure if they advertise "no msg" but I sure got a taste...unfortunately aside from that it is a great buffat with a nice variety. Yes I purposely spelt it that way cause when you get to a buffet such as Lins be sure to wear sweats and expect a couple of extra pounds ;) **Please note dinner is served after 4pm and all day sat/sun** there is a lunch buffet M-F before 4pm. read more

Not great if you know your Chinese food. There was a lot of choices and the salt and pepper shrimp were good. The sushi bar had "krab" with very little real fish available. Krab makes me mad. The Mongolian bbq looked good, but I tried the buffet dishes. They all tasted the same to me. I was not impressed overall and probably wouldn't go again. You can get the exact same thing maybe with a few less dishes at "Eat Buffet" on Pacific Ave and their salmon was better and so was their sushi.. Of course I love the name...Eat, I mean how original is that, anyhow I digress. Lin's has a nice interior, but you have to wait to be seated it is so crowded...also the dessert bar was horrible. The soft ice cream was the only upside to that. The little cakes were dry and they had one that looked like carrot cake but it was Black LICORICE flavored! And horrible. Anyhow, I would have given them 1 star if it were located anywhere else. My husband made me give them two. Blame him! He said three stars but he's nicer than I am and I just couldn't do it. This place is always crowded. The food is fresh and the crowd keeps them jumping. I get a senior discount and always just get water. Two types of pork ribs, one with sauce and one just seasoned. Both great tasting. Sushi is regular buffet sushi, nothing special but I can't find anyplace in Yuma that has great Sushi. The fish is always cooked just right, not over cooked. I am tired of shrimp so I don't get it anymore, but there is a whole lot of choices for shrimp. One exception, is the lettuce and shrimp salad, but sometimes they don't have it. Desserts are just regular buffet stuff, but OK. Place is clean and I leave a dollar for the server usually for picking up the empty dishes quickly so I can get another. I winter here and it is much better than anything back home. read more

By the amount of people trying to get in here you would think that the food was fantastic. NOT!! Typical American Chinese food, same ole, same ole nothing special and buy no means does it have a hint taste. I have been here for both lunch and dinner and the only thing that changes is the price, which is too high. If I want steak for dinner I will go to OutBack not Lin's. Sushi is crap. Small bite size pieces again with no taste or creativity. On top of all this, the food was cold, which was surprising with the frequency of the refills being done by the rude kitchen staff member. Chinese buffet is kind of like sex. When it's good, its really good and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. You know what they say- variety is the spice of life. I'm talking about the food here. With so many dishes you're bound to find a few that you will enjoy. On the first plate I recommend you grab just a bite size of each item to get a taste so you don't waste their food. Yes there are a few that are really bad and most dishes are overly greasy except the steamed ones. The Mongolian plate was swimming in grease. It had more oil than sauce. All the other dishes range from mediocre to good. The sushi rolls were surprisingly good for a buffet place. I also love the salt and pepper shrimp. After having tasted everything I think I went back for the shrimps and sushi. Those alone are worth the price of admission. read more

I've eaten many times at the Lins in the Phoenix area, so when i was down in Yuma meeting a friend for lunch i suggested this place. Boy, does the food suck! I'm so glad i ate at the Phoenix locations before the Yuma one because if i went to the Yuma one first i would never set my food in another Lins again. The difference in quality between Yuma and Phoenix is night and day. I love the fish in Phoenix, i had to spit it out in Yuma. The shrimp seemed cold and not very tasty and this was at midday when it should have been its freshest. My friend was spitting out chunks of fat from what he had picked. Whoever owns Lins needs to visit this location and bring up the standards as i know they can do a LOT better. read more

My wife and I decided to visit Lin's one night since we heard so many incredible things about it and the parking lot was packed 24/7. The most negative thing I can really say about Lin's was the parking and wait time were ridiculous. I can't blame the staff for this, or really the managers because they could not have possibly thought they would have gotten such a response to their restaurant. But though it was a full house the staff was NEVER seen standing around and was clearly doing everything in their power to get everybody seated in an orderly fashion. The interior was very nice and elaborate, sparkling clean (Which is to be expected since they just opened a few weeks ago). The food bars were also very well kept, I saw a customer spill some food all over the side of one of the bars, walk away and not even a minute later a woman came out (As if she sensed the spill) and cleaned it up. The bathrooms are very small, but very clean. With the amount of business that they have been getting I see that as being a very big issue in the future, I think there were two stalls and two urinals in the mens room. Also the mirror ALREADY had been carved into. Again the mirror is not the restaurants fault, but I thought that was ridiculous that they have only been open three weeks and already vandals are destroying the restaurant I am not a Chinese food connoisseur, but I know good food when I taste it and from the hundreds of Chinese buffets I have been to in the past Lin's blows them out of the water. All of the chicken I got was crispy, juicy and fresh like it had just been pulled out of the fryer. The Mongolian steak was very juicy and cooked exactly as my wife specified. They had a few different kinds of sushi, and though none of them were anything very fancy or special, what they had was very well done and extremely tasty. We stayed for about two hours and sampled almost everything on the menu (except for the american cuisine) and found everything to be great. We also only tried the cubes of red jello which were... just normal pieces of jello. Good, but nothing special. Overall I'd have to say if you have time to wait and have a large appetite Lin's has a wide variety of chinese cuisine for you to try, if you are bringing a child who is picky about what they eat they even have chicken wings and pizza, very american bland food but something good for younger children. Maybe it is not four star quality, you will not get a violin concert while you are eating but I can say its the best chinese food I have ever had and I grew up on hundreds of different chinese restaurants and buffets. read more

I can see why Lin's is so popular in Yuma. There are few buffets here in lettuce country and anything that is nicer than the standard sub-par "Asian" buffet is bound to attract attention. If you are looking for tons of food at a reasonable price, then come here. Since I was actually wanting to fill my tummy with tons o'food, this place fit the bill. I just biked my first double century two days ago and last night's visit was a celebration of sorts as well as a physical requirement; after biking 200 miles, my appetite has grown to match that of Godzilla's. My parents wanted to take my cycling buddy and I somewhere that would fill us up well, so we came to Lin's. The restaurant is large, open, and fairly clean, although the staff could have been a bit more attentive to the floors in parts of the place. Food is found in the center section: sushi, Mongolian (order-to-grill), and steak in the back center, then a few rows of various Asian-inspired items. Dessert offerings include pudding (banana, chocolate, tapioca), jello, and store bought cakes and cookies on plates. Steamed rice is located beside the soup. I would think that the food here is fairly fresh because of the restaurant's popularity. High volume means high turnover. I enjoyed my dinner, but would have liked it more if my green beans and other veggies weren't so oily. Skip the dessert, unless you like jello and pudding (which I do, so I didn't skip dessert!). Service is all right, but not stellar. read more

Food was just OK, better than Asian star but still will not return a second time. Geese dripping off Mongolian grill vent hood. Yuck Food all over the floor by the Mongolian grill area. Yuck Server sitting down at nearby table eating jello while in between bussing tables. Yuck Salad section sub par. Mongolian grill cook MIA during dinner rush. We went there for a family dinner. We asked for a booth and they said they only had a table right in front near the cashier. We asked if we could have another table out of the way at least. There were several empty. They insisted we take the table in the front. We said we didn't mind waiting for a booth to become available but they acted upset and just put the napkins and silverware on the table. They were rude and not accommodating at all. I saw the girl roll her eyes even. After that the server acted sort of upset and like she didn't really want to wait on us. Not sure what their problem is! The food was ok but just basic Asian buffet stuff, nothing special at all. Definitely not worth the price or dealing with their attitudes. Oh, and I noticed a little dead fly in my soda. Awesome food on the buffet line. There was so much food that it took a second trip to try the Mongollan Grill. The Mongollan Grill is okay, but the buffet is so much better. The first time, I went with two friends, one of which has had stomach stapling surgery and can only eat a couple ounces. She even carries a card verifying this, but they would not give a discount as other places do - still had to pay full price. So, if you are a person in the same situation, it's not worth the money to go there for you! The food is great and the choices unbelievable! read more

They have the best food ever for a buffet. Cost is reasonable-about $23.00 for two for lunch. Either get there early, opens at 11am, or run the risk of waiting for around 30 minutes to get seated. Huge variety of food, both Chinese and American, my favorite being the Mongolian Grill where you plate raw meats and vegetables and they cook it right there in front of you. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the new location that just recently opened in Yuma. The crowds were huge. But, the staff seemed dedicated to getting everyone seated. Our wait was about 15 minutes. With all the crowds, I wondered how the food quantity might be. But, the kitchen staff was continuously monitoring the food stations and quickly restocking anything that might need replenishing. This made it easy to get what you wanted without much delay. They had a great looking salad bar, with several prepared salads. They had the typical soup bar which also included a variety of breads. They had a Mongolian grill as an option as well. The hot food choices and entrees were extensive. Although, I did not try, neither did I like, all the choices. It was easy to find some that met with my approval. I will say that the food was flavorful and well seasoned. The choices were extensive and the wait staff attentive. All in all, I will predict that Lin's Grand Buffet will have a long and lively future in Yuma. if you don't mind a little wait and a lot of crowds. Check it out the first chance you get. read more

Just ate there today for the first time, the wait staff is ok. The price is a little steep for what you get. Was excited to finally try a real Mongolian grille in Yuma, unfortunately the staff they have working the grille, don't know what they are doing. The food was over seasoned with sauce and garlic. They don't let you pick your sauces, they just ask you how you want it and then throw all the sauce on the food. At most other Mongolian grille places you are allowed to ration out what type of sauce and how much you want. Selection for the grille is limited. Was very disappointed. Moving onto the buffet section, the desserts are questionable at best, which is typical for most Chinese buffets. They did have some great dishes in the buffet, with lots of options. Although some of it was over seasoned, I am also thinking there is MSG seeing as myself along with other members in my family had headaches after eating there. I would not recommend this place for anyone looking for true Mongolian style grille food or people who like traditional Chinese food. Compared to the other buffets around town, it isn't much better. My husband and I usually really love this restaurant, and have eaten there often. However tonight was a completely different story. the food was stone cold, and the waitress admitted that the food had been out all day because it was slow. I trying to discuss this with the manager, I basically got a snotty attitude, and rude responses. Having been in the food industry myself this is NOT acceptable, and with the manager on duty's poor attitude someone can get sick from eating there. I just hope it isn't me. .. It is very disconcerting to me that a manager refuses to make food safety a concern. read more
