Google and their direct website says that they closed at 7 on Thanksgiving. Drove an hour to get here and got there exactly at 6, and was turned away that they were already closed. Called and spoke to a manager who stated that their General Manager "Ociel" told them to close early. I found a gift certificate for this place in the middle of an empty parking lot when I was out running one day. I decided to use it while driving through Yuma. Words cannot begin to describe the food. It was beyond awful!! How does a restaurant over cook a baked potato?! It was almost a dark shade of brown/ yellow inside. I've never seen that before! The lettuce for salad was very wet with water, dressings were worse than any off brands I've tasted, there were multiple empty bins and platters, one of the wait staff was behind the beverage refill area spraying under arm pits with something (unsure what that was about), tasteless meats, etc etc etc. The only saving grace was the staff. Probably one of the worst restaurants in Yuma. When they initially opened it was well priced clean and plenty of options to eat. The restaurant carpet is completely filthy and tearing apart. There's always leftover food on the floor under most tables you eat. I'm certain they've never changed any of the utensil plates cups since they opened as they are completely worn down appear dirty but that's just the cosmetic damage from use. Just about everything is so over cooked that is tough and dry to eat or left out for so long that food becomes so hard that you can bang on the table without breaking. Seriously grab a cookie or brownie and find out. For 4 people you're looking a price of 80 dollars you'll only see your server once if your lucky and the food stands once they run out seems irregularly stocked at best. The staff and customer interactions is non existent. The food options is small and nowhere near worth it when compared to any other buffet option in Yuma. Wow this was bad. I arrived at 6:30 on a weekday. Here's what I experienced: 1. Food was cleaned out across the board - probably after the dinner rush, and never replenished while I was there, over an hour. Carving station empty and no staff. There was taco meat, fried chicken, and fish fillets. The dessert station was also cleaned out. 2. Most empty tables were dirty and nobody was cleaning them. I found a tolerable booth that I wiped with my napkin, but its seats were gouged and the stuffing pulled out, leaving dirty gashes in it. There were food and fingerprints stuck to the adjacent wall, giving gas-station bathroom vibes. 3. My server never offered a drink refill until I'd been there nearly an hour. I never even saw her until she spent several minutes at the booth next to mine doing sidework. She never acknowledged me until she was done with the sidework and the dining room was emptying out around 7:15. I've had acceptable meals at other Golden Corral locations but this location actually made me angry. read more

We were looking for a diner but not really sure where we were going until we just happened to see the sign for this Golden Corral. You can pretty much expect all of them to be about the same and that was close for this one. The seafood salad was chopped up instead of bigger pieces. I actually like it both ways. Food was pretty consistent except carrots and brussel sprouts could have been cooked a little longer. Roast beef was excellent as was the chicken. Their potatoes are about the best. The thing we noticed the most here was lack of servers. I'm not sure if it's still just hard to get them or if management thinks they have enough. However, we really never had a server. We had to get up to get ice for our drinks from the cashier and even headed that direction to try to get a refill. Server did take the glass and fill it. I signed up the family for online special events and coupons, including the "free birthday buffet" that I used for my birthday last night. It was nice! I came solo around 4pm when the dinner was first served. I thought the ribs started out dry but the next helping fared better. I see they brought back the "chocolate fountain" for dipping fruit and deserts. I ate my meal "sensibly" but still got my fill. The dining area looked clean as did the Male bathroom. We dined on Friday night at 630pm at this location and were disappointed on so many levels. 2 senior priced meals came to $40 and that didn't include drinks! We had water instead. I figured ok...for this price, the food will be really good, right??? WRONG. My first trip was to the salad bar. The ranch and blue cheese dressings were empty. Potato salad was empty and some of the other salads didn't look fresh. My husband ordered his steak cooked well done and it was blood red and there was only one type of steak sauce. The liver and onions and pork chops were dry and tough, like they'd been sitting there too long. The peach cobbler was empty. The hot fudge and caramel sauce machine was broken. My husband always likes to have cotton candy at the end of the meal. No cotton candy! The ice cream machine wasn't working properly either. When you pay $40 for a buffet meal, you expect it to be at least average. This was not even close. There was one positive part of our experience. Our server, Maria. She was so attentive and sweet!! Maybe you should make her manager! Beware, Golden Corral. Senior citizens talk and we can ruin your reputation! You've lost us as customers and this is only the beginning. What a Shxxhole, I have traveled and eaten in a lot of Golden Corrals and compared to most this one in Yuma was disgusting. Food was reheated old and tasteless. The cheapest cuts of meat and poultry. We went to the Cracker Barrel but there was a 30 minute wait and so we decided on the Golden Corral. We know they have good fresh food and a large variety. I was there on a Saturday morning during my most recent missions trip in December. The managers, workers and staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. I love the fresh salads, the wide variety of breakfast items,lunch, omelette bar, fish, soup, Mexican food. They even have orange and apple juice and coffee. To keep everyone safe they require you to wear gloves and also follow the 1 way arrows. Be sure to save room for fruit and dessert. They also had green tea ice cream last time I was there. read more

Very disappointed. I called that morning to confirm they had prime rib and was assured they offered it from 11am to close on Sundays. We arrived at 12 and no prime rib. At 12:20 they told us it would be 'ready' in 30 minutes. We got a couple steaks whe we waited...my 'medium rare' was well done while my wife's was quite rare. In another ten minutes I spoke to the manager who explained they had problems with the prime rib cooker and couldn't keep up with demand. He was very apologetic and gave me a card for two free meals. We spent over an hour there and didn't see any fresh prime rib. Again...very disappointed. read more
