He also recommended cutting the locks since he couldn't make replacement keys, which means I will have to purchase some new bike locks again soon. Regardless, grateful for Jin to provide evening and weekend services! Also, I must say the price Jin charged was still more affordable than other locksmith businesses I contacted, so overall, this was a better value in the end! Plus, Jin was quick to respond via Yelp. Once to get copies of some keys and the second time, to get my high heels repaired. I actually waited a while before bringing my shoes in because they are pricey Salvatore Ferragamo pumps. But having seen him work on other people's shoes and seeing all the equipment he had indicated to me that he was an experienced cobbler. And I am glad I came to him. I had heel tips that needed replacing. Ferragamo actually included extra ones when I bought my shoes so I brought them with me. The price? $7. I'll be back.

I've never had this happen before. Even with our other handyman, plumbers, etc. - if you can't do the work, you don't get paid for NOT doing the work. We were told that this would cover gas expenses - why take a job that is out of your network? They knew our address well before coming out. Also, some of our intake conversations were over text, so I wish we discussed the job over photos so they knew what we wanted to do in terms of the job and give us a proper quote. Just felt very scammy and weird after them asking for money without starting the job.

I have just started a new company near University of California, LA. So, we needed Security Systems & access control for our new office specifically CCTV system (IP based), we searched on Google & Yelp and finally decided to meet Mr. Leo Schochat, owner of this business in personal. He is very informative, available and helpful, so our deal went smooth as price was fair. The installation was pretty good even though they needed to ran new wires to the cameras, they did clean and neat work. Overall, I'm very happy with the end results. Now I can use my phone to check the cameras and to view the recording over internet. The quality is amazing one can recognize the face instead of seeing grainy images. Initially I went with a very small shop for a really cheap price but that ended up to be a disaster that cost me more & eventually we had to do the whole system again. Forget about the fact that I had wires hanging all over the place.....Lion Security & Locksmith gave me a great deal, the best result so far. When the front door was locked, the key turned freely during the second turn. After trying to open - the key in the borehole freely turns in both directions. Very unpleasant situation. I went around my business and at the same time I looked for a company to solve my problem. Only in Lion Security were ready to leave in an hour. We agreed for a while and when I arrived the master was alreaidy waiting in front of the house. Has specified in what an essence of a problem. About forty minutes it took the master to open the door. The master said that if the keys were lost it would be much easier and faster. And so I had to remove the hole mechanically. Taking out the old core of the master offered several new locks for replacement with different prices. Three minutes and I got a new key. Many thanks that entered my position and a quick fix to the problem. By the way, when the master said that the lock should be removed mechanically, I was afraid that the doors would have to be cut. The door was not damaged at all, no scratches. Good job! read more

I was able to get the level of service I expected I would after reading other Yelp reviews. Leo is the knowledgeable professional you are hoping to hire. He is also very personable and will not pressure you into getting things you don't want or need. (He will also save you from the mistake of doing business with ADT... he definitely helped me escape a big headache by warning me of their business practices.) You can go as basic or as complete as you would like in terms of setting up your home security system, and work within your budget or the level of security you are hoping to attain. If he doesn't install it himself, he is able to refer you to other professionals to take care of your needs, be it a home alarm installation, monitoring company, even an electrician if you're looking to install motion sensor lights. I had done some research on high security locks before calling Leo, and he knew all about them and found me just the type I wanted. I saved Lion Security in my address book. read more

Yelp is correct in saying As good as it gets! First Leo is amazing and very knowledgeable about his trade. I came to Lion because I got screwed over by a company that sent a guy with a hammer to open my door. He didn't realize (neither did I until Leo told me) that this lock is a $900-$1000 commercial lock that was discontinued over 10 years ago. If I had known I wouldn't have let this guy touch it. Leo was very professional and always called me back and kept in touch. I ended up taking a less expensive option to replace my lock and Leo made sure that it custom fit my huge metal door and gave me a lock that would protect my office. His quote over the phone was exactly what he charged me (unlike the other place I used). His service was friendly and polite. He even took a look at my other lock problem and made some adjustments to another door free of charge. Any time I lock myself out of anywhere I'll be sure to call Leo. read more

As I promised, I write a review about my real impression of the work that Lion Security and locksmith did for me. This company installed new locks on the front door. I did not like the old lock and I had the impression that I was sleeping with the door open. The old lock was not reliable. So, on Monday I called Lion Security and Locksmith and said what I wanted. In the evening I had a master with estimate. He offered me a large selection of locks. The impression was that the guy knows his business. He told me about the strengths and weaknesses of different locks. Then I realized that I was in good hands. My daughter lost the keys of our house. I was very worried about being stolen or seeing who lost. That's why we made the decision to replace the locks. I called several companies. Some people said that you need to look at the locks first and order them. Others offered us independently to acquire them and then agree on the arrival time of the master. In Lion Security, the same evening when the loss was discovered, I proposed to send the locks photos. After sending the photo, I got the replacement options for my locks. I got to the park with my two kids this afternoon, we got our water and snacks and bags and stuff, and went to play. 5 minutes later, my two-year-old poops in his pants. So I gathered them up and we headed back to the car to go home and change, when I realized I locked my keys in the car. FUN. You can say that video surveillance at home is useless, but I want to object. We live in turbulent times, so vigilance is not superfluous. It's hard to argue with that. i locked my keys in my car boot, called them out after searching out on Google that, they are the nearest to my location, arrived in 22 mins to be precise. Amazing! Not only were they efficient fast and friendly, but he gave me a can of Coke, as i was sweating profusely! His hospitality is second to none! It was a little difficult to find. As we all know BMW are very hard to get into but the techie did not give up. Mike was very courteous and responsive and met me outside my apartment quickly after I contacted him that I was locked out (about 20-30 minutes). He made me feel quite confident that although my door was a difficult door to pick, he had many ways to get me in and that I would be in in no time. am a very picky customer, it's hard to satisfy me, especially when it comes to a large amount of work. The list consists of the installation of four surveillance cameras (images of which were limited to two different rooms and stored in a long timetable), two video doorphones of two doors, as well as the installation of the safe. I have a CCTV stationed at each entrance of my house to dissuade any possible intruders from picking my house as a target. Great guy, great business. A few months ago, Leo installed a new Mul-T-Lock lockset at our place and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. After it was finished, we noticed a color mismatch between the deadbolt and door handle, and he insisted on special ordering a new handle to make it right. Leo actually just came back (months later) to fix a problem with the locks (at no charge) after some contractors broke a pin inside the cylinder. The two technicians assigned to do the installation, Felix and Larry, were very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. They knew what they were doing and it showed in the quality of their work. What I was particularly impressed with was their ability to come up with creative solutions for the wiring of both the intercom and the elevator keypad. Some vendors we contacted were reluctant to bid on the project because of the challenges involved, especially with the elevator keypad installation. I can see why Guardian Angel gets such great reviews on Yelp. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Very nice and honest guy. Been doing his job for 40-plus years. He arrived early. Provided…read morerealistic expectations and didn't over promise & under deliver. Regarding a locked file cabinet, he said he will probably be able to pick the lock but if that doesn't work he would have to drill a hole in the lock to open it. When I asked if a spare key could be made, he even gave me a number to a lock and key company and said I can try calling them to see if a code could be used to make a spare key. He ended up being able to pick the lock very quickly with no damage to the file cabinet. He exceeded expectations and charged a fair price. I will call him back for other jobs now that I know he is trustworthy, reasonably-priced, competent at his job, and a nice low-key (no pun intended) patient guy.

UPDATE: So Owner tries blaming the owner/victim here and does not dispute that $850 was taken and…read moreLock is NOT fixed despite numerous delays and he still wants an additional $380 to "replace" the simple patio lock (total $1230). Brilliant PR! I have owned and managed dozens of properties for over 30 years and this outfit takes the cake for poor workmanship and unnecessary delays and frustrations. They Grossly overcharged me $850 to fix a patio door lock but the lock was incorrectly "fixed" despite several attempts to "fix" it. Then they told me i needed to replace the lock and accused me of tampering with it so they then demanded an additional $322 on top of the $850 and i foolishly agreed to it bc tenants were insecure. But instead of promptly replacing it, they then they kept delaying for over a month and made excuses to avoid replacing the lock as agreed. Final draw was when they then escalated the additional price to $850+$388 for a lock that costs $300 to replace. They demanded all upfront payment to even "schedule" an appointment they repeatedly failed to keep. Forget it and see you in court
