Overall a cute place for Friday night dinner. The servers were not the nicest, but were more or less attentive to our table. The performers were decent and at times it felt like they cared more about the tips than the performance itself. I can understand why, but it was pretty obvious. The crowd and performers also seemed pretty mature which is perfectly fine, just not what I envision for a famous drag show in Wilton hoping to bring in newer/younger locals. This is my second time at Lips. I have done the brunch as well as the dinner. The main attraction is the drag queen show. You obviously don't come here for the food, but I must say that it was surprisingly good. I came in at 8:30 pm. The time my friend told me to get there,only to find out we'd be seated at 9:00. I was able to sit at the bar and get a martini. I got one made with Bombay gin and it was only $10.50, pretty good price. They can actually get away with charging anything, so it was a pleasant surprise to see drinks were on the cheaper side. As soon as we were seated, orders for our dinner were taken. The waitress, which was also a man in drag, had a bit of a difficult time taking out orders. We were a large crew of at least 20 girls, and as you can imagine they were all taking pictures and being a bit unruly. The no nonsense waitress told us all to shut the fuck up and sit our asses down! It was really funny and this is the only place anyone can get away with that, as it is part of the charm. The show starts at 10:00 pm and they want to have everyone eating by then. I got salmon, there is a pre fix menu for $30 which comes with a salad, entree and shared dessert. Like I mentioned before, it was pretty good. After dinner order is taken it is a bit difficult to get a drink, so you have to walk to the bar and ask for your own. I have absolutely no idea how they keep track of all of that when they present you with the bill. The first drink I had at the bar had to be taken care of before the show as it is to separate wait staff that serves you after you are seated. I guess it all goes to the table tally. They can only split the bill to four credit cards, so you can imagine the mess we had going on when our bill came to split it between the 20 of us. The show itself was a meh for me. I remember have a better time at brunch. Out of all the girls there was only one really great one, of course she was the last one to dance around the dining room. It was short. What took lmger was the host allowing different parties to come of stage and take pictures. I wasn't very impressed. But it is a one oof a kind place, and it deserves the credit it's due. I am a party promoter and have been to this establishment many times. The show and performers are great with alot of high energy...HOWEVER...when i bring in 10 - 15 people they put everyone's order on one check which causes complete confusion for us to decipher "how many drinks did you have?, did you buy a shot? Did you buy a flashy ring?, did you add your tip?" It was hundreds of dollars on the check and we had to stay another 30 minutes after the show to figure out who pays what. I even called the establishment before coming to request separate checks and they REFUSED. What other business does this? NONE. It was a complete mess which brings the whole night down!! read more

Lips is a treat! What a fabulous experience! I've booked two bachelorette parties here the last two years and both times we had an absolute BLAST! The drag queens are fun and fantastic! The food is good, not the most incredible meal but surely a decent meal. It's the SHOW, darling, the show is a must-experience if you're looking for a rockin' good time! It was a Thursday night and wasn't really in the mood to go out but reluctantly...I was persuaded by a good friend to go and check this place out. Here is my assessment: Building / Decor: A bit outdated the place had a strip joint kind of feel. The decor was outdated (very 80's) with lots of mirrors. Service: GREAT service. All of the staff was very engaged and interested in making sure you HAD a great time. Most of the staff pulled double duty...meaning they performed and served food/drink. Great staff! Food: I would have rated this place a 5 had it not been for the food. The food was disgusting! Expensive and tasteless for what you get which would be equivalent of "hungry man" dinner. HORRIBLE. my advise is EAT before you go. Entertainment: Most of the performers are way past their heyday but they certainly give it all they got. What COULD bring more people in............BETTER FOOD and younger, more energetic entertainers. read more

I went to Lips on Saturday night to hang out with two friends and enjoy the show. We sat at the bar and were instantly greeted by the bartender, Victor, and placed two drink orders. The restaurant was filled for the drag show, which was phenomenal. All of the drag entertainers were very professional and friendly. I ordered the chicken marsala through the bartender Victor. The prefix menu comes with a Cesar salad, which was drenched in salad dressing. When my chicken marsala came out very late, approximately an hour after we ordered, the chicken breast was overcooked and charred on the bottom. Victor didn't not return promptly to check on the the meal. I brought it to the attention of Victor when he finally checked on the status of the meal 15 minutes later. Victor never apologized for serving me overcooked food. Victor then proceeded to accuse me of eating the meal because I had some of the mashed potatoes before trying the chicken. Luckily, a drag queen brought it to the attention of the manager, who discounted the meal. I spoke to Victor privately to let him know that I didn't appreciate the way he handled the situation and that if there was anyone who should be upset, it should be me. I also reminded him that he failed to serve me dessert, which I had paid for. The manager came personally to apologize and I let him know about what transpired and that accidents happen, but in my opinion as a customer, Victor was unprofessional, rude and condescending. Victor was accusatory before even offering to replace all of a portion of the meal. I also let the manager know that I will not be returning if Victor is behind the bar as a bartender or serving me food in any capacity. The manager apologized and said that Victor should have apologized and replaced the meal automatically. However, I would go to other places such as Rosie's Bar and Grill for food on Wilton Drive or Drynk for drinks instead of returning to Lips. Management needs to have quality bartenders at Lips if they would like customers to return. read more

The best drag brunch I been to in along time! Usually every time I am traveling I try hit up a drag brunch as it's one of my favorite things. And well I have to say this was one of the best! The girls were amazing, talented, and loved what they do. $50 of tax and tip for all you can drink and food was well worth it. I had at least 3 bloody Marie's and 8 glasses of champagne. I never expected to have so much fun here. My first visit here was for the dragalicious Sunday Gospal drag show, and boy was I impressed by the entire experience. We arrived at 12pm and there was complimentary baker parking, for $5 you can have your car parked in front of the building so it is watched the entire time by the valet guys. The line to get in was a bit unbearable because, well, Florida heat. But as soon as we were let in, we were ID'd, grabbed our drinks, and found our table. The waitress came around after about 15 min and took pour drink and food orders. Everything from the Chicken Parmesan, Classic Burgers, Penne Pasta, Chicken Sandwich, and the sides like fries were absolutely perfect. Totally unexpected. The drag show itself was INCREDIBLE! You must experience these divas for yourself, such a great performance. read more

Wow what a fun experience & they really cater to Birthday & bachelorette parties. The energy of the music & the performers was amazing. The late show we attended was hilarious raunchy. We had a gaggle of girls over for your Sunday brunch, and on the way over I was lost in thought. 1- how the hell did I wrangle up my closest girls on a Sunday morning, right after a Saturday night? 2- how the hell are the performers gonna get ready in time to do a brunch service??? 3- how the hell are they gonna tie in the Gospel bit of this performance? Well I am gonna tell you. 1--- bottomless mimosas and bloody marys that didn't stop! 2--- dunno, but the ladies looked amazing and performed like it was Saturday night. 3--- "The Lord works in mysterious ways" - Dolly Parton, Steel Magnolias Also, we expected very little of our food, but dang it was Good!! I've visited Lips several times since offering my original review that was posted all the way back in 2012. And I always have a great experience. It's just that kinda place. This time, I attended a sold out fundraiser that benefited The SMART Ride, the annual charity bike ride from Miami to Key West. This was the first time that I'd ever been to Lips during a full-house engagement. Even with the demands associated with a wall-to-wall crowd, the staff was very welcoming, efficient and gracious - as well as just a bit naughty, in an entertaining way. Thursday night's bill was the regularly scheduled celebrity impersonation show. So, we were treated to performances by Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, Cher (of course), Nicki Minaj, Rhianna, Donna Summer, Sia and Jennifer Holliday. The show was emceed by the hilarious Nicolette, who kept things snappy and fun all evening. As I always emphasize to people, Lips isn't just a bar that hosts an occasional drag review. It's a legitimate dinner theater offering the full 'dinner and a show' experience. Therefore, it ain't necessarily a cheap night out. By the time you have dinner and a couple of Lips' signature drinks, you'll notice that your wallet is a bit lighter than when you walked in. But, it's always worth it. Lips remains at the top of my 'go to' list for entertaining friends and family from out of town and just plain having a great time, no matter the occasion. read more

Very good entertainment for a saturday night and also a sunday brunch. Steak and eggs during sunday brunch was really juicy and flavorful. Ive had my share and didnt expect much but i was wonderfully surprised. Theres no cover to enter, but its $22 and that includes a choice of meal and they all looked great and bottomless mimosa or champagne. The entertainment last about an hour and a half and was well done and tasteful. I would go back as finding other drag shows was a chore in Ft. Lauderdale. read more

We went with a group of friends for on of my best friend's birthday, they made her feel special, there were tons of laughs throughout the night! We were helped as soon as we sat down, the service was very good and the staff is very nice. I got the 3 courses for $21 which was very reasonable for the amount/quality of the food. I had the ravioli and it was AMAZING, I also enjoyed the super fudge and chocolatey brownie they had for dessert. I really hope to be back soon to try their brunch! read more

I love Lips!! I've been to the one in San Diego, and I went to this location for the first time and was not disappointed. We went on a Wednesday night, so it was a small crowd but the QUEENS were still so energetic and fun and hilarious. The food was fine and the drinks were strong, no complaints. Just went here recently and had such a memorable experience and great time! The food was delicious, drinks were good, and the show was fabulous! There are multiple performances with different dancers who come around and interact with you. If you're celebrating a birthday, bachelorette, or anything like that this is the best place to go to feel celebrated and special. For example, they give out crowns and bring out a cake you brought in in front of everyone. The age requirement is 16+, so I brought along my teenage sister and she had a great time. The occasional curse words and provocative dances are not anything new to her. The host was very entertaining and and made everyone in the audience feel included. Everyone has a good time no matter what because you can't help but enjoy the show and continue to be shocked the whole time by how insanely talented all the performers are! The servers are great and they double as performers as well. It gets busy but they do their best to tend to you with the blasting music and chaos. The food is actually delicious. I had the steak and mashed potatoes and it was well seasoned and tasty. The Caesar salad appetizer was good and so were the cannolis and red velvet cakes given for dessert. For around $40 a person, including cover and food, this dinner and a show is more than worth it! Everyone should go at least once. read more
