This place is pretty good! It is in the mall on the lower level. We parked at JC Penny and went inside and downstairs and easily found it. The menu has a large selection of flavors and flavor mixes along with fresh fruit and loose tea options. We opted for the chai tea smoothie with tapioca and flavored jellies, and a watermelon smoothie with tapioca. The reason I am giving it a 4 is because the flavors were not very representative of what it should actually taste like. The chai was not very similar to chai and the watermelon was more like bubble gum. They were both good but just not as expected-flavor wise! But there are so many other flavors to try out so we will be going back. The prices are the best I've seen for boba tea ever & you can save a dollar if you check in with the app so that's nice! went to the boba tea store at Hawthorne Mall, and it was terrible. There is a lack of ambiance since this isnt even an outlet, and the boba was bad. I paid 5 dollars for chunks of the outer gel layer at the bottom, no gel on the bubbles, a mediocre tea, and a gift to my friend with a throat infection. read more

One of my favorite places for a refreshing cold drink. I usually get the Horchata or Peanut Butter Madness with tapioca. Delicious! Yum! My best friend and I were just casually strolling through the mall. When we had a craving for some bubble tea. Thankfully, this place was here to save the day. We ended up sharing the recommendation from the worker herself. While our go to is always the brown sugar bobas from our other regular spots, Chill doesn't necessarily have anything comparable. The employees recommendation was something classic like their vanilla (I think, I could be wrong) or the cookies and cream, he's a sucker for cookies and cream so we went with the latter of the two. We also went with the must have of tapioca, and she suggested the coffee jelly as well. And what a great suggestion that was! It was a great trio of textures and flavors. So I highly recommend to try it! We don't come to this mall often, but we will probably stop here every time we do. read more

I want to leave a good review because I love the tea but the service I received yesterday was so bad I needed to write this. They need more than one person working here because there is definitely work involved in making the bubble tea. I also realize how hard working in the public is but that is no reason to not be polite especially when you are polite to them. The female working there on October 12th was so rude to my daughter and I that I highly doubt I will be back. Please hire more help or train your employees to have manners. read more

While shopping at the mall, I stopped by the Chill Bubble Tea counter for a bubble tea break. I needed something refreshing and good! I decided to go with one of the Creation (smoothie/boba) drinks, which was made in prompt order. I chose a Large Strawberry Shortcake ($4.75 plus tax) smoothie which had a dense thick texture blended with almond, fresh strawberries, vanilla, and plenty of tapioca pearls on the bottom. A thick straw was provided with the drink. The taste of the drink was slightly sweet, yet cold and very refreshing. The tapioca pearls were very firm and slightly chewy. Have been wanting to try a boba drink for awhile now. Did some google searching and came up with this place. You could tell the staff were bored though. Although, I did tell the guy at the register I needed help deciding on what to get that had strawberry. He recommended strawberry and peach smoothie. He asked if I wanted the tapioca boba in it. (thats what I mainly wanted to try anyways) The drink was made in about 2 minutes and it looked good. My boyfriends mom ordered a blueberry smoothie with boba. The smoothie part was really good. However, the boba part was really bad. It kept getting stuck up in the straw and the texture of this thing was not good. It was like a round gummy bear with no flavor. I would get a smoothie there again but without the boba. My friend who drinks boba tea told me that I was looking for the "popping pearl boba" not the "tapioca boba" for next time. read more

I had a terrible experience here. I asked the worker a question about the boba flavors and she disrespected me, rolled her eyes and gave me attitude. When I hand her my card, she literally rips it out of my hands, and continues with a dramatic swipe on the register. Get ready for this... she THROWS my card back at me! Like an actual frisbee toss!! Hawthorne Mall- This is the worst excuse for customer service I have ever experienced. I believe that people who work retail should be treated with the kindess and respect that they are due, I hear stories of rude customers constantly and I do my best to do my part as a customer and be respectful. I don't get upset very often but this was something else. I came here with my sister to get bubble tea, because it's a novel drink for us. When we were ordering, any hint of hesitation would cause the woman behind the register to roll here eyes at us. When I asked about the drinks she looked at me like I was stupid, and answered with sarcasm in her voice. She handed us the drinks and my sister's cup was leaking already She couldn't get the straw to go in, and the cup cracked, spilling the drink on the counter and all over her shorts and shoes.This of course cause the woman to roll her eyes yet again. The woman didn't offer paper towels to my sister. We had to properly clean up the counter....At the end of it all she didn't offer to replace the drink. We had ask multiple times. For our Sunday Funday, we went to the mall with all of the family in tow for my son's haircut. Myself and my youngest lagged behind Daddy and big brother. I figured I would pick up some bubble tea on the way to the hair salon. My little casual jaunt took 20 minutes to get a regular size bubble tea. It took forever because the only employee was in back getting ready for the day at 11:30am. I really wanted bubble tea, so I stupidly waited for her to return. Once she emerged from the back, she treated like an major inconvenience to her. Maybe she should have done her prep work before 11am as the rest of the mall and various food outlets were well prepared by this point in the day. I eventually got my bubble tea. It was alright, nothing spectacular. My eldest enjoyed his bubble tea experience. It certainly wasn't worth the long wait for it. I couldn't believe the lack of service from a place in a prime location aka kid central with kid clothes and the playground next to it. Next time we're in the mall, I'm probably going to skip getting a bubble tea fix. read more

Awful. The employee didn't seem to understand that bubble tea is supposed to have some actual tea in it, besides a ton of milk, sugar, and water. Definitely the worst bubble "tea" I've ever had.
