When i am in Las Vegas which is several times a year i stock up with all my supplies at liquor World to make my fav drinks. They have everything you need at the best prices in all of Las Vegas. Don't pay high outrageous prices in a casino bar for drinks when you can buy the liquor and make your own drinks for the duration of your trip for less than 25% of the cost in a casino. This Liquor World location can be found behind the Dotty's on the north east corner of Jones Blvd and Windmill Lane. (+) They pack a good amount of selection in the space they have. I'm basically a beer guy, but I will buy wine and spirits if I'm bringing some over to a friends house. They have plenty of all of the above here. I have traveled to Thailand every year for the past 8 years (this year will break that streak unfortunately). This is literally the first place I have been to in the States that carries my favorite Thai beer, Leo. It is a bit pricier at $10.99, but that extra buck is worth it to me since I really enjoy Leo. (+) Employees have always been friendly and helpful and not uptight considering recent events. I appreciate that. (+) On a more personal note, it is close to where I live and never seems to be too crowded or busy. Easy to get in and out. We just moved into the neighborhood so we decided to stop by. It's a nice little store, so you don't have to go wandering around looking for what you want. All the cashiers have been really nice too. We're signed up for their rewards program, but the other day the cashier asked if I wanted to share my email for $5 off my purchase. Uh heck yeah! Never would I think to have a poor experience buying liquor! Lol! I decided to stop at this liquor world since it's so close to my house. I usually buy alcohol with my groceries, but I didn't need food at the time and thought to give liquor world a try. They had a decent selection of beer, wine and alcohol like I would assume. Prices were average, no deals or anything that I seen outstanding. Their assortment didn't seem very organized, so my search for wine felt quite overwhelming. I browsed the aisles and seen a four pack of wine/ sangria for $6.99. I thought what a good deal! I decided to buy it since I've heard nothing but good reviews on this sangria. I paid cash for the sangrias and didn't think anything of the price when handing the cashier my money. Walking to my car I noticed I received the wrong amount of change and went back in to tell the cashier. She told me that the price of the four pack of sangria was $12.99. I asked her politely if I could get something else and she said no they don't allow exchanges or returns. And pointed to a handwritten sign that was off to the side. I asked her for a manager and she said they weren't here and wouldn't be until a weekday. I totally felt robbed out of my money since the label clearly read $6.99. She gave me no receipt and couldn't print one because I guess they don't give those when you pay cash. I won't waste my time here again. read more

Great selection of beers, wines and liquors. We stumbled on this place while driving back from Red Rock and what a hidden gem. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I believe the guy's name was Jeff. He knew everything there was to know about all the alcohol in the store. He walked is through the different beers and made some great suggestions for us based on our likings. Talk about great customer service. I love how many craft beers this place has to choose from. Yes, they have your typical beers but you have to talk to them about their rare craft beers that they carry and try something outside your comfort zone. These guys know what they're doing. Tried us some alcoholic root beer, Not Your Father's Root Beer, and it was aaaaahhhhmaaazing! I had tried the Best Damn Root Beer before but Jeff recommended Not Your Father's instead and yep sure glad he did. Definitely my favorite and my husband's too. Definitely plan to go back to this place. Love the one on one customer service. Not your typical big chain liquor store. read more

I am a local high school teacher and on occasion I stop to grab a drink somewhere on my way home. A lot of the Liquor Worlds in town are nice, but this one is super small and in an old building. There's a Dotty's Casino in the parking lot so sometimes there are sketchy characters around the area. Prices are decent but staff is way too fake nice and just like other reviews say, they watch your every move. Meh. read more

This store is a staple to the locals in the neighborhood!!! Sandy, Tee, Jeremy, and Tonya are always upbeat and welcome customers with open arms and some friendly banter. This is probably the closest liquor store in the Mountains Edge area unfortunately it's not open 24/7. I think they close at midnight so get all your alcohol bought by then or you either have the nearby convenience store and their small selection or you have to drive a few more miles to the nearest groceries or liquor store. Up in front of the building there's a big "Liquor World" sign. On the inside it's about the size of that small Lee's near Warm Spring and Durango or smaller. It's a neighborhood liquor store and it does have a pretty good selection of everything, craft, import, or domestic beers and all kinds of liquor. They have a bar in the back which I haven't seen used yet but it looks like they do demos and sampling there. They also have a walk-in fridge for larger cases of beer. They have an ATM if you need it. Prices seemed a little more than Lee's and Liquor Outlet or about the same. Each time I've been there I pretty much walk in, look around, buy something, and leave haven't had much interaction with the employees besides paying. I'd come back it's convenient for early beer runs in the area. read more

This place is good ina pinch. 24/7 they will sell you booze. It comes at a bit of a price though. Spaten Optimator is $11.98 per six pack. I usually like getting Pabst Blue Ribbon in the can. They carry it but only in the six pack. They also have an extensive selection of wines and liquor. read more

2-things- First thing is Lee's is cheaper. Period. 2nd thing- my girl and I went there and the Chinese food place next to it. She went to pick up the wine, I went to the Chinese place. After I got the food, I walked into Liquor World and up to her at the register with my bag of food. The guy at the other register insisted, very condescending in front of other people, that I put my Chinese food at his register, like I'm going to cram a bottle of alcohol in this completely full bag of food. Still, I'm cool with rules, I played along. After setting my food down, the guy, again condescending, said "Now you get a shopping bag." I just said "I'm with her" and left it at that. I understand protecting the business, but this guy's tone was unnecessary. Almost like he wanted to impress the people already in there. I stopped in here on Halloween to grab a couple bottles of wine and there was a lot of sampling going on. Everyone was super nice and I ended up leaving with some cool swag. I was looking for a specific bottle and couldn't remember the name of it, but the cashier was able to figure out what it was just by my describing the label to him, which was AWESOME! The only negative is that they are quite expensive. They charged $19 and the same bottle at Albertson's costs $12, but they are super close to my house so I guess that's the price of convenience. read more

I saw a post on Facebook about some limited supply of goose island bourbon county stout as I was headed home. I had to work and didn't get up crazy early to go horde the city's supply of BCS. I called today, asked for a specific wine from a specific region , I went to pick it up and it was the right wine maker from the wrong region !!!! I've never had a problem at this store except for today! Today this place lost one star because this particular employee wasted my time, even after I called and asked for a specific wine and gave specific details! This person is nothing more than a cashier and has no product knowledge and shouldn't be allowed to answer the phone ever!!! read more

My coworker told me about this new liquor store right around the corner from my house. I wasted no time in checking it out. They have a decent craft beer selection. Actually, it's quite good. I was just hoping for more. In the corner of their fridge setup, there is this "beer cave" entrance. I got excited, thinking they had a treasure trove of hard-to-find brews inside. I was disappointed to find out it was just cases of the macro stuff. On the bright side, I picked up a bottle of the latest Game of Thrones beer. I didn't even realize they made a new one. I can't believe no yelper has reviewed this place. This store is right in my neighborhood so..as embarrassing as it sounds - we have been here quite a few times over the years (we entertain a lot... lol). My husband and I typically see the same guy every time... middle-aged guy with glasses and a mid-eastern (I think ?) accent. Nice guy. My husband likes him because he always has great suggestions - and somehow - even though my hubby swears the guy isn't the pushy salesperson type, he always manages to get him to buy something other than what he came in for...(he used to like beer on occasion but apparently he now thinks he's a scotch kind of guy). Obviously, it would be cost-effective to go to Smith's to buy alcohol & mixers, or drive a few blocks and head to Lee's... but when you are lazy and have unexpected guests - a quick drive over is worth the extra dollars. There are a few liquor stores (not Lee's) that have opened in and around the neighborhood (there's one on Jones just past warm springs, and another that opened up near Rainbow and windmill) but of those - this one is definitely cheaper. So if you live over here it's definitely worth stopping by if you don't have the time (or patience) to go someplace cheaper -- I would stop by. But I'm lazier than most people so.... :) read more

Insulted. Liquor World just opened up in my neighborhood outside of Mountain's Edge off Blue Diamond. My fears have been realized, the prices are all 20%+ higher than Lee's! I know they have locations around the strip whereby they over-inflate their prices for the tourists, but these prices are silly! For example, you can pick up a 1.75l of Skyy vodka from 19.99 to 22.99 at Lee's or Albertson's but at Liquor World they are selling it for almost $30! A 750l Jack Daniels was being sold for $14.99 at Walgreen's in the same plaza, but at Liquor World it is over $20?! Whether you drive to Mountain's Edge from Durango, Rainbow, or Blue Diamond there are so many better options to buy your liquor. There are grocery stores on all the main streets and a Lee's on Durango and Blue Diamond. Of course if you don't have a car and have to walk, perhaps Walgreen's is the better option? read more

Started coming to this place over the summer. Thought I was the only one who noticed the female managers there are WEIIIIIRRRDD until I read the previous review. Lol. Tammy and Denise were my go to's for help. Super cool. Management would come up behind them and ask if I needed help like RIGHT AFTER one of the girls just asked me. Don't know what that was about. And, calling everyone "hun" and "love"....management trying to be bffs with everyone who walks in the door to increase sales I suppose. Over kill for sure. Mike just restored my faith in humanity with his unbelievable customer service. I don't live in Vegas but my best friend lives down the street from this store on Durango. I called and made the craziest request to see if I could buy alcohol over the phone so my friend could pick it up. It's hard living so far away and just trying to do something to cheer a friend up.
