The concept here is genius: they've got a fridge stocked with meats and cheeses right next to crackers, so you can literally build your own charcuterie board on the spot. There's usually a food truck parked outside too. You can also buy a bottle of wine, a case of beer, or a pack of seltzers, and they'll hold onto it for you and pour as you go. It's such a cozy, easygoing spot that we constantly lose track of time there, quite literally hours just disappear. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable every single time. I decided to go inside with him because I was curious what they had here. He had his eye on a specific type of white wine and thanks to someone here that helped him out, he ended up clearing out all of its' inventory, buying at least six bottles of this specific brand. It was a Riesling white wine but I don't remember the full name of it. He and my mom now have plenty of wine to go through over the next couple of months lol. Here, I thought to myself, I should buy myself a bottle of wine as well. At my dad's suggestion and since I'm a big fan of Chardonnay and other types of white wine, I picked up a Nobilis white wine straight out of Portugal. When I traveled to Europe a couple of years ago, I did a lot of white wine tastings and this is pretty much how my white wine palate peaked. I've yet to visit Portugal, though. Before I started my adult beverages hiatus on New Year's Day, I had made this a depot for 32 ounce Miller High Life and 32 ounce Bud Ice bottles. They have been my favorite adult beverages to close off the night. From seeing their modern beer shelves, I can say that Liquor Depot has a good selection of bottled beer and tall boys (24 ounce cans). Currently they are one of the few stores where I have been able to purchase 32 ounce Bud Ice bottles. From the outside, the exterior looks like the decades old shopping center it is in. Inside the store is modern, clean, and has the new store scent. Both the entrance door and window facing Sunset Road brings in the sunlight that provides a brightness to the ambiance. This sunlight shines on a solid selection of wine, liquor, spirits, beer, and numerous adult beverages. The Liquor Depot is a locally owned business. I am under the impression that two men own it. When I purchased my 32 ounce beer the owners provided friendly customer service. Owing to the fact that I knew the beer that I wanted right off the bat, I never had to ask them any particular questions about the adult beverages. If I did have a question, they gave me the impression that they would be glad to answer it. After a few visits here, I am impressed with Liquor Depot.
