I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I walked into the store with my family, and as soon as the employees saw us, one of them said, "Alright guys, get ready." From that moment on, multiple employees started circling and watching us throughout the store as if we were criminals. We were simply shopping and gave them absolutely no reason to treat us with suspicion. It was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and honestly insulting to be profiled the second we walked through the door. No customer should have to feel like they're being accused of stealing just because they entered the store. Loss prevention is one thing, but treating paying customers with respect should be the bare minimum. We won't be returning, and I hope management addresses how customers are treated because no family should have to experience this. read more

Starr was a fantastic sales associate, helpful, asked us when saw we weren't finding what we were looking for. The store is big and clean. Insider tip: the beer cave at back is where the bigger quantities and more variety of beers are located. First glance looks like back of house. And they have Maui seltzers! The best to find these, as they arent loaded with sugars and unnecessary flavors and Ive only ever found them in Hawaii. read more

I just bought $200 worth of liquor here and I must say the staff was very rude. My husband got sick to his stomach and they refused him to use the restroom, stating it's not open to the public. We are not vagrants who wandered in off the street. We were paying customers. And they were very rude about it. One girl even smirked. No thanks. So many other liquor stores to choose from. Liquor World is a pretty decent size store and has a great selection for a neighborhood Liquor store. The employees have always been friendly and helpful when I have had questions. The prices seem to be pretty decent, and they usually seem to have alot of items on sale. The store is always clean and well organized. I just left this establishment about 40 mins ago. I called and asked about their return policy because clearly it stated on their website that they do returns if you're not satisfied as long as the the product is in the same condition and I've kept the receipt. I have not opened it and I have the receipt. Everything is in its original condition BUT when I called to double check and confirm, a woman answered the phone explaining they don't do returns and that's what management told her. And that the website must be "out-of-date." Ok, well then legally YOU MUST HONOR it as a company! I have been a returning customer here and you can't be wishy washy about these things. You don't keep returning clients this way. I have a screen recording showing I purchased from them 34 mins ago, and with their RETURN POLICY I found online. Don't come to this place with their shady business practices. I should have just bought my items across the street initially at Smith's but I came here first in search for San Antonio's red blend that they were sold out of. But because I was browsing, I figured I'd just purchase some things that intrigued me there. Especially since I read up on their return policy if I wanted to come back and return something if I were to change my mind. Update your return policy or stay true to it. I guess this will be my first Quarantine related review. lol So we are doing the whole social distancing thing at home. My birthday is coming up so I decided to treat myself to some tasty adult beverages while we're all stuck in our houses for the time being. Everybody in town seems to be ordering from that other large local chain for their alcohol beverage deliveries. If you're a Vegas local, you know who I'm talking about. They have a minimum of $100 order with a $10 delivery charge. On top of that, because they are so popular, there is an up to 3 day wait for delivery! Whoa! Liquor World seems to be flying under the radar for the time being, so this is good info I'm about to drop on you right now. lol LW's minimum is only $50 for starters. I seriously don't need a couple hundred dollars worth of beer here, so this was appealing to me. They do charge a $9.95 delivery fee, which IMO is totally fair for the convenience factor alone. On top of that, I received delivery in less than 24 hours! They even give you a 3 hour window for your delivery time! This was outstanding! I'm a beer guy, so the prices of the items I purchased were very, very fair. They were basically the same as they were before all this happened. They do have an app that you can order through or just use the website on the desktop. You will need to set up an account in order to place an order and you will need to enter your payment info at that time. The delivery driver will need to verify your ID and your method of payment (if a debit or credit card) will also need to be verified at the time of delivery. They just need a signature from you and they tell you to keep the pen. The driver who delivered my order was very friendly and expedited things quickly, which was appreciated. I would definitely recommend Liquor World for not only delivery service during these wacky and unusual times, but I will make it a point to go to their stores once things finally get back to normal. 5 solid stars. read more

Liquor World kinda has the same layout as Lee's. They have countless varieties of alcohol, ranging from wine, beer, and vodka. They even had tiny vodka soda cans! We came in looking for a specific type of alcohol, but unfortunately they didn't have it. Even though they didn't have the specific type that we were looking for, we still had other options to choose. We picked up a can of Smirnoff Ice Smash Screwdriver and a six pack of Kinky (yes, that's what the brand called) Blue Wild Berry and Mango. I like any alcohol that has any type of berry flavor in it. This was a great place to visit. I'll be back to buy more alcohol here. read more

I had kind of an embarrassing experience here yesterday and I won't be back. Which is a bummer because this store is closest to my house, it's clean, and generally the people are very nice. Yesterday when I walked up the cash register the woman helping me immediately asked for my ID. I opened my wallet to show her just like I always do and she points to the signs and says "can't you read? We scan IDS." I said oh sorry just not use to it and took my ID. I held it out for her and she grabbed it from me to inspect it, she didn't think it was real? But scanned it and it was, obviously. I originally was going to pay cash but it was higher than what I had on me so I was like oh no big deal I'll use my credit card. I went to go use the machine and she reached out for my card and said "no. I need to match your ID and card." I said no problem but the last names won't match. This is my wife's card. She tried to keep my ID and told me she couldn't sell the alcohol to me on a stolen card. I've gone here so many time and paid the exact same way and I've never thought twice about it, I completely understand if your policy is you can't use someone else's card, But she made it really embarrassing and literally laughed when I said "my wife" she told me if my wife was real she could come pick up the alcohol. At that point though I was so embarrassed and shocked I just said ok thank you, took my ID and walked out. Ps. I was buying a pack of trulys. It's not that serious. read more

I want to love this location but have yet to have a reason to. I have only been to this location twice and it is either under stocked or I have only shown up after a major rush. I am typically looking at beer selections and the beer case has been more empty than full both visits. The beer selection on hand for both visits were similar to any local grocery store. It does appear to have a decent liquor and wine selection. They are different than most local liquor stores as they have a bar located inside as well as outdoor seating with TV's which is intriguing. read more

This store was a nice and convenient although slighter higher priced option to Lee's for those of us in Southern Highlands. The beer selection was very good in the beginning and they were even take suggestions of what to stock. This last 4-6 weeks however it's been a big disappointment. Today when I was there the stock on beer was terrible. How can someone be out of the most common backyard beers like Coors Light, Miller Lite and Modelo?? When I asked about why the beer selection has been so bad I was told they were opening new stores and weren't ordering for this location. If this is true sounds like they shouldn't be opening any more locations? Guess it's back to driving the few extra miles to Lee's for the better selection and prices. read more

If I could give less then 1 star I definitely would. The unprofessionalism of some of the cashiers is outrageous. I was talking to the nice pink haired cashier asking about the point system (joking I should have more points) when the senior aged women whispered loudly in my cashiers ear talking **** about me. Obviously making everyone around her uncomfortable. In the past that same older lady called myself and my partner hun about 1000 times in one minute, pretty sure that's some form of harassment. It made both of us extremely uncomfortable. The other senior lady that works there has terrible customer service and doesn't seem to want to be there let alone to her job. these two seem to be the only ones there when I come in. With that I will no longer be buying my liquor from liquor world. Tito's is cheaper at total wine and spirits anyway. We were running low on our adult beverages, and grocery stores have limited selection (at best) at the moment. We saw liquor stores starting to offer delivery in these crazy times, and we looked into ordering from other liquor stores, but they were unable to process our order. Not sure if I should let you guys in on my secret or not because I don't want to ruin it, but I was super impressed with how easy it was to order online from Liquor World. Their whole delivery process was super smooth and seamless. Easy to use website, fast turnaround delivery, great customer service. Like most of Nevadans! Our household was in need of some cocktails during the quarantine. Once I saw on their IG that they are now allowed to deliver. I downloaded the app, created a log on, submitted my order and it was delivered the next day!! I recently went to this store to for a very specific type of wine. I don't know much about wine so I asked the young man at the counter. I believe his name was Andre. I asked who knew about wine. He pointed to his coworker a lady named Connie. He asked if she could help and she said No I have to get this done pointing to some paperwork. ANDRE is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars it would be less. Despite numerous requests she absolutely refused to help us. When another customer came in asking for Kahlua all of a sudden she wasn't busy and showed them where to find a basic item. Still refusing to help me. Andre was great He did not know about wine but was willing to try even looking on Google. I have never had such a horrible customer service experience. It was horrible. As an avid whiskey drinker I could not wait for this place to open in my neighborhood. While there selection is decent, the presentation is poor and the prices are all over the place. Higher end options are 10' behind the cash wraps making it extremely difficult to see prices let alone hold a bottle in your hand. The layout says "we think our customers are likely thieves" more than "welcome to your neighborhood store". So while I, and many of my fellow aficionados waited with much anticipation to add to our collects from a place so close to home, we will keep searching elsewhere. read more

Wow! My husband and I don't even get this kind of service at the 5-Star hotels we stay at... Every time I/We come in an older gentleman always greets us and offers any assistance we might need... He is very friendly and knows a lot about beers (good for me) and knows even more about bourbon (for my honey)... My husband always "Raves" about his recommendations... My "Honey" says this guy is always 100% "Spot On" with his Kentucky Bourbon selections and he always recommends good beers and ciders for me... I don't know his name, but he always wears a nice shirt and tan pants... He even helps us to our car if we buy too much stuff (LOL)! He's the best and Liquor World (Cactus) is the "Best"!!! Smith's is on the wrong side of the road and is filled to max capacity to even attempt a visit to their paltry wine aisle. Enter Liquor World. It's on the right side of the road but more importantly offers so many choices for the novice oenophile. I am a black woman i went in this location With the intentions on making a purchase. We were standing in the middle of the store deciding on what we were going to purchase when a worker came up to us and asking if we needed help so we started discussing with him that we were figuring out what we were going to purchase, he proceeds to say "well I came over to inform you that we don't allow large bags" now... my purse is a $1800 Goyard and I have no reason to steal but the fact they racially profiled us, assuming we were going to steal there were multiple people in the store holding their own personal belongings but because the color of our skin we were asked to leave our PERSONAL belongings with them. This Racial Bias is absolutely ridiculous, I am embarrassed and hurt. Please stay far away from this location, you can get all the same liquor from Smiths across the street for much cheaper! read more

They have lost my business. Let me start by saying that this is not a review of their products or selection. The many times I have been I have had no issues and I found new and wonderful beers. My comes in the form of treatment. Never in my life have I been asked to remove my hood when entering a store. Though i complied with the request which is understandable at 9:22pm. I take great offense to being followed and frankly eye fucked as I walk to get my beer. I can only assume this is because I am African-American or maybe the hoodie, who knows.
