I arrived late on Saturday and she found me Sunday morning reading in the sun on a lounge chair and said something like "oh you look so comfortable there, stay! I'll check you in whenever you are ready." That was just so nice as I was tired from traveling. The vibe is easygoing and full of kindness. Some guests that knew each other had had a celebration and we came back to PRL while they were having dessert. They offered us cake and ice cream and we sat and joined them! Poor Richard's Landing evokes the best of Provincetown - how the community welcomes and supports people. Straight couples, gay men, lesbian women, and trans and non-binary folx were all present during my week on the wharf. There is a shared gas grill, plus bicycles and locks, kayaks, life jackets, floaties, and beach chairs available. Cottage #2 is super cute with a bedroom with a view of the beach and MacMillan Pier, and a table and chairs with the same view in the living area. There is a single bed in the living room- with a trundle underneath! (I think you have to pay extra for a 4th person). No couch, but a cozy reading chair. Galley kitchen is very narrow with a half fridge but has everything you need. Bathroom has a sliding door and a nice hot shower. The toilet is right up against the wall so there's a little bit of maneuvering involved if you are, like me, a little overweight. There are heaters and fans to help control the temperature, and the bay breeze is wonderful. This is a GREAT PLACE. The dune shacks were originally built to help shipwrecked sailors who made it to shore- inside the shacks there was everything a sailor might need to survive- food, clean clothes, a bed- and in the same spirit Poor Richard's Landing is truly a safe harbor. I can't wait to come back.

No food, just drinks. Many locals come here in the afternoon to admire the beautiful landscape and water views. There's a fire pit on the grounds as well. Relaxing, beautiful and a great place to hang out with friends. If you are walking, it is a steep climb to get here.

The experience was top-notch…read more Recently, we wanted a weekend off-season getaway, and, having good memories of the place, I booked a weekend stay. I am extremely conscientious about making appointments, reservations, and handling finances. I clearly specified the dates I wanted a reservation for. The "final confirmation" page before clicking the submit button showed the correct dates. A week prior to the arrival date I had requested, I received a welcome email, and a bit later, a text from one of the innkeepers stating that I should call if I expected to arrive after 8:30 PM. At the time, I thought, "great, I love it when people are prepared well in advance." I returned the text stating that I expected to arrive well before 8:30. This was all in the belief that everyone was on the same page - that this is all for the following weekend. But then I received a text stating that it was after 8:30 and that I should call the front desk, and that's when I said, "wait... what?" The innkeeper was obviously referencing that day, and not the following week. I replied with aforementioned "wait... what?" and also that I had made a reservation for the following weekend. In short, the rest of the communication process did not go well. It was clear to me that something went wrong with the reservation system. The innkeepers sounded offended at my suggestion that this was what had happened, and were a bit snobbish rather than engaging and helpful, as should be expected from a hospitality business. In the end, after a phone conversation, the inn decided to offer a refund, which was nothing more or less than the right thing to do. Ultimately, I'm not upset that an error occurred. That's part of life. I'm upset about their general attitude, and because of that, I'll not be returning to this otherwise lovely place under current ownership. My review is one star due to this experience, but because ultimately they did the right thing a la a refund, I'm adding a second star.

Thankfully, we got full credit for both flights and hotel. But the beach itch was real, so we decided on a road trip. Tried Rehoboth Beach- sold out, tried Dewey Beach, also sold out. My non-Yelp husband, chose the Cape. Don't be fooled by the "hotel" in the name. It's got a fresh coat of paint, some funky furniture and a trendy vibe, but peel that onion and... it's still a motel. That said, our room had perks: bay views across the street, two bathrooms, a decent living room, broom+dustpan, iron+ board and other basics. There's complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby area and a pantry filled with snacks for sale. The grounds are kept clean and there's a bonfire we enjoyed in the evenings when the Cape's temps got cool. And a complimentary yoga sess that my body just needed to reset. However, our blanket had like small, old (blood?) spots, mushy pillows and a security bar that practically fell off the wall every time I tried to lock the door. Harbor H. is put together nicely and the lobby has a solid coastal feel. Service was great and shoutout to Shawn & Maurice at the desk for their super welcoming energy. The nightly rate was insane. But mid-August, last-minute, A LOT of Ptown's B&Bs and hotels are booked, with everyone and their great-grandmother traveling- I get it. For the 4 nights we paid, we expected wayyy more.

The room didn't appear to have been properly cleaned--the floor was sandy and dirty upon arrival. The amenities were good though. Great pool and fireplace area and commuting downtown by bus was incredibly easy. I wish they served breakfast in the hotel though.

The location was perfection, basically in the center of town, but offset from the main street enough that nearly no noise reaches the Inn. We stayed in the Crow's Nest, which is a relatively small room but it was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The highlight of the room itself was the shower, surprisingly luxurious feeling. There were plenty of other amenities available. We took advantage of the breakfasts and parking spots, but I know they also had bikes available, as well as a little patio/garden that seems like it would be lovely in warmer weather. To top it off, Chip's pastries are *absolutely divine*, we were sneaking more of them all day long. There were also plenty of dogs around all weekend long. I would not recommend this spot, or the town in general, to someone not comfortable with dogs, but I had a ball :)

We were shocked at how quiet the house is while literally only one block from Commercial Street. It's very convenient to all of the shops, restaurants, and nightlife. The faucets, shower, and amenities are top-notch and have a luxury feel to them. The breakfast was tasty and saved us a bundle (P-Town is not known for inexpensive dining). The hosts were helpful with offering suggestions and recommendations. We also enjoyed meeting the other guests from around the world. What's not to love about this place? We can't wait to come back and we will DEFINITELY stay here!
