Ivy did my nails and she was so gentle, professional and quick! I got gel cateye (no extras) and it was $50. I chose cat eye glue number 012 that was displayed on the front table. It took about 20 minutes for my nails to be done. There were 5 other techs in the store and the wait was very short for walking in. The cuticle cut was very minimal and I didn't get cut and didn't hurt. The ambiance with the jazz music was very calm. Ivy ended my session with cuticle oil and lotion + a small hand massage. read more

Shame on me. I'd gone here a few years ago and had a bad experience (polish streaked, cuticles too short) but decided to give them a second chance and made an appointment for my next visit. My appointment time came and went, and I was told, "a few more minutes" countless times, but I stayed waiting for 45 minutes past my appointment time because I needed my nails done. The quality was meh. A few years pass and I decided to give them another try. The place was clean, service good, inexpensive for the area. When I went back a month later with an appointment, it was an entirely different experience. Again, I was left waiting for 45 minutes before being helped, and again, I needed my nails done for an event. Halfway through my service, the lady jumps up and says she needs to go do someone's eyebrows. She comes back ~15 minutes later and tries to be nicey nice. I asked her to please finish as quickly as possible, as by now I'd been there TWO HOURS. When I tell you the quality of the services I got were awful, please believe me that the pedicure didn't last one week. The gel manicure lasted 9 days before bubbling and peeling. Again, shame on me. I like to give small businesses multiple chances but I'm out on this one. Zero stars, just like the zero chance I'll ever be back. read more

I don't recommend this place. I came in for a manicure and pedicure. They started with the pedicure, which went fine, but after the lady finished, she told me someone else would do the manicure. I ended up waiting an hour. The next girl finished with her client, and I was told it was my turn, but she didn't attend to me. I had to wait again for another person to help me. If I could leave a zero stars I would... Absolutely terrible experience. I was overcharged for a basic manicure, and they reused materials that clearly weren't sanitized--completely unacceptable. The polish was applied unevenly and started peeling just a day later. What made it even worse was the rude attitude from the staff. They spoke in their own language while laughing and staring,which felt incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. When I tried to ask questions or express my concerns, I was dismissed with an attitude. I regret spending my money here and would never return. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I'm from out of town but I found this place to take my niece because it's near her house. She's been there 3 times. She's only done simple gel manicure. 1st time they charged $30 and it came with a hot hand towel and hand massage. 2nd time they charged $35 with just a hot hand towel. 3rd time they charged $40 with no hand towel or hand massage AND she was cut pretty bad while cutting her cuticles. So I asked why is it different every time? They said it's because of her age so she's charged as an adult. One, they've never asked for her age to begin with. She's 11 and no where does it say they charge by age. And she was the same age the last 2 times she was there. Not only was she cut but they even left nail polish all over her fingers. I've let go of their bad customer service before but today I paid for their horrible service and told them we will not be coming back. Quality work and our nail techs took their time but didn't take forever. I was iffy on what exactly I wanted and they helped guide me. Also my old salon doesn't do brow waxing so I was pretty jazzed to find that this place did. I'm not going to complain about price. Nails are expensive and for as freaking good as our nails (fingers and toes) came out, totally worth it. Been here for a builder gel color change. When they were about to colored my nails the woman told me they can't do the design I wanted (I guess I should have asked before but they said they do designs and it wasn't a difficult one just a pink chrome). She tried to do what I wanted but it didn't look the same at all. They charged me $65 for this which I was surprised because its not even manicure and I wasn't happy with the results. Traveled to San Jose with my son. At the recommendation from a friend, I stopped by Lisa's Pro Nails. I checked Yelp to see if they accepted credit cards, because I do not keep cash on me. Perfect!! Yelp said credit cards accepted. I prefer to use my debit card to have the money come right out. Not my credit card(s). Upon entry I was asked what i needed, as part of the normal protocol. Pedicure and Fill? Yes! as I smiled and was directed to sit in the spa chair. As no prices were listed, I was asked what type of pedicure I wanted, Green Tea Pedicure? I automatically said Yes because it sounded delightful. Ha! Then she handed me a price list booklet. Loved it!!! The pedicurist did an AMAZING job!! I don't recall her name, Sorry about that, however she was one of the main ones wearing glasses and a smile. Everyone I've encountered thus far seemed very friendly and eager to assist. When I say they scrubbed your feet, they really scrubbed your feet. Out of all the locations I've been, THEY ARE THE WINNERS. Ha! I barely laughed. Now it's time for my nails. As I asked for a cut down, the tech said that's extra.... $10. I said Ok... the tech next to her said, don't tell her that, tell her the full amount....to which I was told $60. That's fine!! I didn't question any pricing due to me having high expectations. At the end, I was told the full total (nails/pedicure combined) and asked was I paying cash. Here, cash is preferred! NO SIGNS POSTED. They have an ATM in the shop. Ha!! I said oh ok. Went to use and was reimbursed $20 as the machine read an error code. I brought attention to the error code. The manager was informed and asked how much do you need, so they can charge the credit card. I said oh, I can use my credit card. In which she responded, we prefer cash. The snarkiness was not warranted. Keep the ATM filled with enough money so this doesn't happen. I'm assuming they didn't want to deal with the extra fees for the charges and the card companies. However, I was using my debit card and that's insta cash. I pulled out an extra $20 and said keep the change as I walked out the shop. Cash preferred should be listed for all to see, especially when walk ins are welcomed. Just a suggestion!! If my feet didn't feel like clouds, I would have been disappointed with the service. The manager pointed to me and told me "you didn't make an appointment so you have to wait" still pointing with her finger. But I had there early. She was a bit rude. Twice my daughter made an appointment here and twice when she arrived, they claimed they messed up the appointment and made her wait well over ONE HOUR. Why take appointments when you never honor it? Just tell people it's walk-in only. The worse part is that no one greets you when you arrive. You have to physically walk up to someone and ask about your appointment and even then they will offer a lame excuse and unsympathetic apology. While my daughter claims they do a good job and is pretty forgiving, I think they don't care because they have plenty of other customers waiting. She actually takes the time to get to know her customers. You can tell that she cares about her customers and is passionate about her job. I would like talk about the quality of her service. Her service is EXCELLENT! Tracy always takes her time when doing my nails. She's very precise and I always leave the salon happy because she delivers the nails that I envision. I went to many nail technicians that are often in a rush or did not care whether I'm in pain or not. Tracy ALWAYS makes sure that I'm comfortable and that she's not hurting me. Making an appointment is very simple and I've always been able to get an appointment even with same day or day before notice. I always have some crazy ideas for my nails and IVY does it every time. She'll see the picture and make it even better than expected. I love the way she never does it exactly the same and how she is so creative and detailed. She takes her time and never rushes. We waited over 30 minutes (mind you we made an apt). Although two other people came in and were seated right away. I just chopped it up to it being a busy Saturday. My daughter's experience (manicure/pedicure)- the lady doing her pedicure cut her several times and didnt even acknowledge it. My daughter was bleeding and she just wiped the blood away. Her manicure came out good. Ok chopped it up to next time we will request the manicure tech to do both mani and pedi. My experience (pedicure/ acrylic fill)- my pedicure came out good although the lady was on the phone the entire time. In between laughing/giggling she asked if I was okay... Ivy did my nails and they came out good. Payment- they told me they took card payments at the beginning of the apt however after finishing our service they said cash only... Which one is it? The services came to over $200 which is the limit for taking cash out the ATM. I told them I couldnt take out enough cash to pay the service and tip, so they said to put the tip only on the credit card. Ok whatever, they are trying to avoid reporting all earnings to the IRS. I get it.... 2nd visit: I decided to make an apt with Ivy again because I liked the way my nails came out. I was realy hoping my second visit would be a better experience but I was wrong. When I arrived for my apt Ivy said she was busy with other clients doing lashes and to come back later or tommorrow. When I told her I couldn't come back later (that was why I made the apt) she just repeated that she was busy. When I asked her why she didnt call me to reschedule my apt (I could've saved my time and gas) she just said she was too busy to call and she had other clients.... She never apologized and had an oh well attitude. Came in super nervous, but came out incredibly happy with the results! I was recommended this place by a family member and a coworker. Called to schedule an appointment on a Thursday. I'd recommend calling beforehand as they do tend to get busy. I showed a reference picture (from yelp) and the nail artist knew exactly what she was doing. I felt like my hands were being taken care of and not once did I feel any unnecessary pain. Process was quick and it was only $60!
