After deciding the style I wanted, Nancy led me into the room, where I could slide under a blanket and just let her do her job. She also told me some tips to take care of the extensions. I had a bad experience with having my lashes done with a lady who did not speak English I had to communicate using Google Translate and supposedly the front desk was assisting her to understand what I wanted. When I would ask her a question using Google Translate I would think she understood by acknowledging "nodding" yes. First of all, before my appointment I specifically messaged the picture and reiterated exactly what I wanted and asked about the glue. The manager stated that they even have glue that is special for "pregnant women friendly glue" I wanted to make sure the glue they use will not sting. When my lashes were done it was totally not what I wanted it was not the same in the picture and specifically made sure before and the day of my appointment they understood. But came out with long dark heavy lashes and the glue that was used was really strong and it stinged my eyes. It was a waste of time driving 2 hours from where I lived and messaging to make sure it was done professionally or the way shown in the picture and end up being totally different. I would not come back here! Even if you think they understand you they don't. Will not recommend! The worst!!! This my response to owner/management: I did not pick the comic eyelash I don't even know what that is??? and if there was not a communication barrier between me and the technician then we would not have this problem. I would think the manager who I was texting and sent pictures of what I requested 3x that she would communicate this to the technician and if she wants confirmation she should have confirmed it with me. It's sad that there is no picture of the other lady who I seen with the lashes and compared what was applied to me mine is more dramatic. And to mention I have the text I did not ask for compensation for dog sitting or driving to San Jose. I was letting her know my situation why I could not stay. Why would I trust the person who was working on my lashes to remove the lashes when I'm already unhappy with the result and the product used in my eyelashes??? Especially with your eyes is a very important part of your body. Lesson learned...make sure the person understands you fully and will be able to communicate with you! And for the record $55 dollars was only refunded which in fact those lashes cost over $100 plus offering a package deal was not worth it! I asked for compensation what would it cost for the full price of having my lashes done not deducting from what the package deal price but the full price. read more

I truly appreciate Nancy's time and effort in addressing my concerns and making things right.*** ORIGINAL REVIEW (3/28/25): I had a manicure with Angela and a pedicure with Tina for a total of $230. My pedicure with Tina was good--I have no complaints. However, my experience with Angela and the overall service at the Paint Nail Beauty Spa on Moorpark Ave in San Jose was overwhelmingly negative, and I will not be returning. Manicure Experience: From a distance, my nails look barely decent, but up close, they are extremely messy--almost as if I attempted to do them myself at home. In the words of my friend: "They look dirty". On some nails, there are silver smears (not visible in the pictures) where Angela erased failed attempts at the design. While mistakes happen, she didn't properly cover them, leaving the final design looking sloppy. She did a good job centering the gems on the "cross" design, but the location of the gems on the "straight line" nails are inconsistent with each other and slightly off-center. The line work is also poor--most lines start off thin and precise but turn into a thick, uneven glob by the end. To make matters worse, she didn't clean up the excess polish on the skin around my nails after finishing, which makes them look even messier. Overall Experience at the Establishment: Beyond the disappointing manicure, the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable. During the three hours I was there, I was constantly stared at by the staff, particularly the women at the front desk, which made me extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, I was repeatedly pressured to buy their package deal--once during my manicure, again during my pedicure, and once more while paying at the front desk. I understand promoting services, but this level of solicitation was excessive. Final Thoughts: If you're looking for a high-quality, comfortable manicure experience, I do not recommend this location of Paint Nail Beauty Spa. I would like to start off with the positive notes of this place. The aesthetic of the place is cute and clean. They are very gentle with your cuticle and removing previous work. The girl who did my nails did an okay job for something simple. Now the negative notes, as a business owner myself and licensed esthetician, all workers should have their nail license visible for all clients to see. When I asked for stiletto, they didn't understand what I meant and gave me more almond shape. For someone who is very particular and understands quality nail art, this was decent, luckily my nails were shaped prior from my original nail tech so it was easier to work with. I came to get a pedicure while traveling. After they discussed amongst one another for a few minutes and me considering just walking out, they finally said, we can take you. I advised them that I had gel polish and wanted a gel pedicure. I was told the pedicure was $60 and since I didn't get my nails done by them that I had to pay an additional $10 for them to take the gel polish off before the pedicure. My feet were done on an ottoman as they do not have the appropriate chairs for pedicures which was a first for me. I had on a dress and had to elevate my knees which was very uncomfortable for 2 hours. The nail tech took her time although my feet were only dipped in the water for about three minutes and she cut my nails too far down and failed to shape them as I requested. They were still nice but the actual service seemed like they just received their license. read more
