We had maintained a nice foundation but felt it was appropriate based on a myriad of factors. We were placed with Emily and our experience was excellent. We knew Emily from many of our group trainings but had yet to do extensive one on one with her. Emily's approach is honest, consistent, soft (but firm) and very relatable. She was communicative in every way and made us feel safe. Given we had already done one camp we felt comfortable with the facility but each trainer brings their own nuance. Emily was clear and concise with each weekly update- she was really positive and had a ton of healthy feedback. Training is a huge investment of time and money.... Something we don't take lightly, but we have felt it was incredibly worth it both times. The continued support offered is 10/10, the communication is consistent and the general vibe is that everyone really wants to be there, including all the pups. Our dog has been home one full week, and we feel really good about the tools we've been given for continued success.

Additionally, after the program they provide weekly group sessions to continue the training and keep consistent. My puppy is now 8 months…read moreold and has spent a total of 5 weeks here (3 weeks for board-and-train and 2 weeks for regular boarding). As a first-time puppy owner, I wasn't sure what to expect or if puppies just naturally outgrow certain behavioral issues. Either way, this is the only formal training she has ever had, and the results speak for themselves. She came back so incredibly well-behaved. And has reminded well behaved. When we go out in public, people always come up to see her because she's cute, but what they *constantly* comment on is how exceptionally well-behaved she is for an 8-month-old puppy. It is so validating to hear that from strangers! I love and fully agree with Anthony's methods and what he does here. If you want a well-behaved dog, Powerhouse K9 is the only place to go. Highly recommend! Full disclosure: I have a pure poodle and they are known to be smart. Bohdi however had trust and aggression issues and he would charge other dogs. Taking him for a walk was exhausting and no one enjoyed it. He would go hide in his kennel when he saw the leash come out. We needed help and Rachel has been amazing. Bohdi now runs to the door and waits for his walk he is so excited. He and I both have a good time going for walks now. He still gets nervous around other dogs but he no longer goes crazy and out of control. She loved to chew on everything... baseboards, cabinets, fabric, paper, outdoor drip hose and low voltage electrical wiring! She also loved digging in the yard. She was afraid of most everyone and everything, including people and other animals. We could not get her to venture out of the house, other than to go into our back yard and would not go on a walk. Zuki has been a godsend! She spent lots of time with us, training us to train our dog. She demonstrated behavioral techniques, and gave us numerous opportunities to practice these while she was present. We had weekly homework assignments and she also provided us with additional suggestions on ways to alter Lexi's behavior, as well as suggestions for chew toys and rewarding treats. Now, at 3 years old, we can say, for the most part, we have a well behaved pet who follows commands, no longer chews, rarely digs, and loves to take walks! After working together for so long, Garnet's trust in me has developed to the point where we frequently get compliments from strangers on his focus and behavior. I can even walk closely next to well behaved dogs now without worry. So many of Juniper's recommendations have been woven into my life with Garnet and changed how I work with him and handle him in many ways. There are some things we still won't do (dog parks, off leash crowded hikes) but Garnet's life is so much richer than I would have envisioned it when we first started training sessions when he was 1.5 years old.

Previously He would only go to one groomer the next time I tried to take him back she tried to bite them at this point. My dog will not go to any groomer. He try's to bite them and he is traumatized. I don't know what they've done to my dog, but they definitely did something. He's eight. He's been having baths since he was born. It's been it's been a year since he's been grown. No groomer will take him at this point.
