Ok so where do I begin. Brought my car in 10/2024 to address a defective pearl paint job by Hyundai. Spoke with Lisa that day regarding an estimate and each area of the car I wanted addressed. I specifically asked her to repaint the rear passenger door and the ENTIRE top rail panel. I had applied primer to the door and approximately 6-8" on the top rail to prevent rust until I could get a professional to do the job correctly. Was quoted around $2700. Car was done in 3/4 days and looked good except some "overspray that looked like bubbling" that they needed to take a clay bar to to remove. Great job I thought. It's now 7/2026 and there is bubbling happening on the top rail and toward the rear. One of the bubbles popped exposing the primer. Made an appointment for Lisa to see it. After taking a look at it it was explained to me that they did NOT address the entire top rail as initially discussed and they only "spot" painted the area that I had primed then painted over the existing paint surrounding that area. The door looks great but I assume they stripped that down and redid the entire thing. So I paid $2700 for one door and one spot on the top rail (and some window molding and clips). She then gave me a quote of $1598.74 to paint the entire top rail hahaha. She then said but I'll do it for $1000! So tell me....why would you do that for me? A $500 discount...why? And why would I ever go back to have this done the right way when it was supposed to be done the right way the first time. I'm not speaking for everyone here, everyone's experience is different it seems with this shop but my experience wasn't the one I initially thought it was which was good. All I wanted was to give them the chance to do the right thing and that didn't happen for me. Folks before you agree to anything here make sure you're specifically addressing your needs and that they know and have it in writing that you can understand. For $2700 this should have been corrected and being told be Lisa "well this pearl paint will give you more issues down the road" isn't what anyone should hear. I paid money for that NOT to happen again instead I'm back to basically the same paint job Hyundai gave me. I can't wait for this shops response to this review "we guarantee are work, sorry you had a bad experience hopefully you were able to get it fixed elsewhere, something along those lines. I have pictures of the proof before and after. I have another body shop that confirmed this wasn't the correct process. Paint over existing bad Hyundai paint job. This is why I specifically asked them to repaint the entire top rail. Im sure they do fantastic work, everyone refers them but geez $2700 later and they want another $1500 to do it again the right way. Just cross your T's and dot your I's with this shop before signing anything. Make it perfectly clear they understand what job should be done. 2 stars because the door still looks great. After a deer so rudely ran out in front of me, my insurance company recommended another local body shop who said it would be at least 1 month before they could even start the estimate on my vehicle! I called my insurance company back and asked for a listed of approved shops in my area. I called Lisa's first based on their reputation. They got me in for the estimate 2 days later and began the work the following Monday. My car was back to looking like nothing ever happened in less than 3 weeks and I am beyond pleased with the results! The two ladies I dealt with in the office were polite and professional all the way through the process and my vehicle honestly looks showroom new! Thank you for a job well done! read more

The service from and her staff I found very helpful. They were kind and patient and ordered parts quickly. They said my vehicle Ford expedition 2021 would be finished within a week when I dropped it off on a Monday. Wednesday afternoon they called and asked me to come pick up my car. Someone put a bad scratch on my bumper in a parking lot and drove off without leaving contact or insurance info. I took the car to Lisa's and in the space of about 10 minutes they buffed out the scrape so it barely shows. They did a great job. read more

Service from the start was horrible. Joe speaks to customers like we are children. If you are all about customer service do not take your car here you will leave with an even bigger headache from going back and forth with the staff on petty things especially joe. I called to confirm the estimate and was told by joe I've called too many times and we are doing something illegal... I don't know why if I'm paying you to fix my vehicle why does it matter how many times I call you? Also, are you the police? How are you going to assume something illegal is going on just because I'm trying to receive confirmation on. Worst experience, I wont be back and I don't recommend this place at all. This is a great place to take your vehicle! Everyone is kind, easy to work with and they know what they are doing! My car had asphalt spray on it. They removed all of it, washed and waxed it! They did exactly what the they told me they would do. My car is now back to its original color of all white! Lisa and her crew know what they are doing! I would use them again if the need arises! This place is great! I was sent to to Lisa's after car wash knocked a panel of my vehicle. Upon meeting staff, I was greated with open arms. The staff ordered the panel for my car and immediately re ordered the same part after the manufacturer sent them the wrong item. Whennrhe correct. Car part arrived, I was called in to get the part installed. I will definitely recommend this company to anyone that's looking for body repair. read more

I selected Lisa's Paint & Body Shop based on previous recommendations and wanting to support a woman-owned business. I have lived in Tallahassee for almost 30 years and have had overall great experiences with businesses here. My experience with this business has been the opposite. My 1995 sports car was hit in a parking lot, taking out the signal light and scratching the bumper. Because of the age of the car I have a certified source for parts, so I acquired two signal lights, one to replace the damaged one, and the other to match the color. All the body shops are quite busy, so it took two months to schedule this small repair. Lisa accepted the parts, not stating any concern about them, as they were brand new. On the scheduled date of repair I was told it would be 2 days. That turned into 5. I picked the car up and the repair looked good. I was a bit concerned when I received no paper work to warrantee the work (something I have gotten on other repair shops). When I asked about that I was told "don't worry about that, if something is wrong, just bring it back." I drove the car home and it stalled out when I came to a turn or light and the next thing I know all the gages go to 0!!!! I called Lisa when I got home telling them of the issues. Lisa was immediately defensive and raised her voice, stating "that could not have been caused by the bumper and light installation. You have an old car and things go wrong. Plus the lights were bought online so they could be bad." I asked what they would do to be sure it wasn't their error and that they said they had checked the lights before I picked the car up and everything worked fine. She said "take it to a mechanic, as it was nothing we did." I was astonished by the total lack of customer care and how hostile she was towards me. I went ahead and had the car towed to my mechanic. It took them 3 hours to hunt down the problem. They diagnosed that the pins on the left light were bent, causing an electrical short that affected the gages and stalling. They corrected the problem at a cost of around $330. I took the bill to Lisa, stating that either they bent the pins or didn't check for a bent pin before the installation, but that the mechanic invoice CLEARLY stated it was due to the body shop repair. She immediately denied this could have happened and when my husband called her a "liar" she got more escalated and actually threatened to call the police! I couldn't believe it!!!! Maybe they are used to calling the police on customers, but this was incredible. We left the invoice with her and she said she would "research" the issue. We left the building as it was clear she was not going to stand behind her work. Within the hour she called me and stated she spoke with our mechanic and would cut a check for the repair. I don't know what changed her mind, but I picked up the check and cashed it ASAP. This has been one of the WORST experiences I have had with a local business. I have since heard from others that since they moved to their new location thing have gone down hill. SAVE YOURSELF A HASSLE AND AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!!! read more

I took my car to get the bumper repaired. Lisa estimated the price at $100 less than it actually ended up costing. Also, she told me that I NEEDED to replace a part on the bumper because after it was taken off, it would no longer stick. Well, when I got my car back, the old part was sticking just fine AND she had charged me for the part that was not on my car. She ended up asking me to come back later so she could fix it, after my car was already there for two days. No way. She ended up sending me a check for the part, with the wrong name on it. Now I'm not even sure I can cash it. I also asked her to touch up the rest of the car while they were at it (with paint) and when I got there, I had to ask them again (and wait for it to get finished). I thought supporting a fellow female would be a good idea, but I will not be going back to Lisa. Unorganized and poor service. TAD read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Went in to get a quote on a scratch on my car, was told it would take an hour to get one, and when I asked for an appointment to get a quote (since it was going to take an hour and I had a 15 month old who was in need of a nap was with me) and was told that they don't do that. It was also fairly hard to find their office, as it's all the way in the back and you couldn't get your car back there (which meant I had to get my sleeping 1 year old out of his seat. Basically, don't go here. Even for a quote. Not worth the time or frustration with their terrible customer service. read more

Lisa is a complete scam artist. I brought my vehicle in to replace a simple trim piece that snapped off due to aged fasteners. I knew that I needed to buy a new part but she proceeded to try to tell me that my A pillar was damaged and needed additional bodywork. The A pillar on my vehicle is concave by design, it's the same on both sides of the vehicle. I knew immediately what she was trying to do and in addition to being one of the rudest people I've ever met she's a scam artist who clearly tries to prey on people who don't know much about vehicles or repair work. Stay clear unless you want trumped up repair bills. read more

My wife's truck was rear-ended by an elderly gentleman and needed a new bumper plus paint. He asked that, instead of filing an insurance claim, if we would take the truck to Lisa's and he would pay for the repairs. We weren't familiar with the place, but my wife got some good reviews from our daughter's school. So, we brought the truck in. I was surprised it was not more expensive (only $528) considering the damage. The man who hit the truck pre-paid, so our pickup was a quick in and out. Hopefully we won't need her services again, but if we do, we feel very comfortable in trusting Lisa! read more

I took my Honda in to get a section re-painted. Unrelated to that, I had also recently run over some spilled paint on the road so there was white paint splattered on all four tires and fender areas. The section I wanted re-painted was done well, and in addition, Lisa also had most of the white paint cleaned off the rest of my car, free of charge, which was a nice surprise! read more

Someone recommended them to me, I checked online and saw no complaints, and trusted them with my car, but they did a cheap, terrible job both times I have been to them. They took the door off my Camaro to replace the spring and bushing. After I left, the window started inching down and wouldn't completely close. It had been jarred loose. I have never had that problem with either window on my car before. I brought it to them 3 times to repair it...each time they spent about 5 minutes adjusting it...and on the 4th time Lisa said she didn't believe they were responsible for it and really refused to look at it again. Wind whistles in it right now, and when it rains I have to remember to fill in the gap...and this is Florida. It rains almost daily here. The hood had a ding in it from when a large truck knocked a tree branch onto it. They insisted they needed to paint the entire hood, but it is now yellow. I have photos. There is no shine whatsoever, and it seems to be thinning and getting holes in some places. This morning I brought my car back in, to give them one last chance to show some integrity and take good care of my car. Lisa asked if I'd considered that them working on my car door and my window being damaged immediately afterwards was a coincidence...pointing out the age of my car. She said, "We are absolutely not going to fix your window." I simply want my car to be in at least as good condition as when I left it with them. At this point I want the money they were paid returned to me so I can get someone I can trust to do a good job. Either they do not have the ability to do a good job, or they simply have cheap, low standards for their work. Whatever the case, lesson learned...and I'm sharing. read more
