Lisha alterations is fabulous! My entire life my mother was my personal seamstress, she could sew anything. Unfortunately I lost her a couple of years ago, and when I moved out here from Kansas, I tried several seamstresses and tailors which resulted in exorbitant prices, long turn around times and average quality that is until I stumbled upon Lisha's sewing business. I rarely ever use an alteration service but because it was my daughter's prom & she wanted a dress that needed to be hemmed up. I called around to a few places & because this shop was the closest, I decided to go check it out. When we got into the shop, the seamstress was very nice & seemed to know what she was doing so I accepted the service. She went to ring it up & asked for my phone number & the date I need it & also if I wanted her to steam it upon completion, I agreed to it & paid. She did not give a receipt & said that she would know who I was by my phone number. I was very uneasy with that response but because I needed the dress done, I agreed & left. I would check on a regular basis just to make sure she remembered me, & from the sound of her voice she seemed annoyed. Finally, time came & I went to pick it up but upon examining the dress she kept saying that for that type of material, to do a very thin hem was very hard (it was satin). I then proceeded to inspect the steam job & discovered that she had slightly scorched it & ruined the slip under the dress & I pointed it out to her & she quickly came back with," it's under the dress, it's just the slip, it's fine " & kept saying how hard it was to do the hem. No.. that is not acceptable but at that point, my daughter needed it for her prom so I just took it & left. I was very disappointed but what was done was already done. Lesson to me.. do my due diligence & just buy a dress that's professionally sewn OR have it taken care of way in advance just in case something goes wrong. read more

This is one of those services that you just never thought existed. Once you meet Lisha, you will never be able to get something tailored elsewhere. Took a tough shoulder job on an older suit, and it was tailored perfectly. Not an easy job either, 2 other tailors said it wasn't possible. My fiancé also brought her dress there. We shortened three layers of tulle and one liner, as well as the straps; we also removed and replaced some floral applique details, and re-positioned the cups. It was a difficult job but she listened to all the details and did the great job within THREE DAYS! The dress was steamed and pickup was a breeze. I ordered a cardigan off Amazon that was far too roomy. Figured it was a loss and was about to donate it when I decided to try to get it altered. I highly recommend this place. My cardigan fits even better than I thought it would and it made me bring in both of my suit jackets to get worked on as well.
