I had the most angering experience at this location today. I went in and there was no one in line with me at all, so I was excited because I didn't feel rushed. The guy made my pizza excellent with 3 full scoops of sauce and a lighter, but still regular amount of cheese, then well done. When it came out, it had really started to cook the cheese well and I could see the sauce seeping through the cheese, still I wanted it cooked a little longer. When I got called up this time, the cheese was barely cooked and there was only a little sauce around the edge of about a fourth of the pizza. I took it reluctantly and opened the box and the cheese was so uncooked that it was still appearing white. I asked the girl behind the counter if she was sure it was mine because mine was darker the first time and I had extra, extra sauce. She told me that it had to be mine because it was the only cheeses pizza left, and that the pizzas come out lighter sometimes, even when they were darker before, which is just insane, to come out lighter after already being well done, and going back in. The worst part is how big she was smiling and making a face to pretend that I was being absurd. When I got to the car, there was no sauce on this pizza at all. The tiny sauce around about 1/4th of an edge was all the sauce on the whole pizza. My sauce had never completely disappeared like that and my cheese gotten lighter, appearing white, because I almost always want it back in a second time after already being well done. It was the worst pizza they ever made for me, and after the guy had made it so well for me before she gave mine away. Before that, I was so excited to eat it. I hated the pizza but what I hated more was that girl lying in my face, making excuses about how an almost burned pizza with obvious extra sauce, can go back in the oven and come out with barely cooked cheese and no sauce. read more

Pizza is one of my favorite foods and I decided to try Lit out for the first time this week. I love places where you can customize personal pizzas. I decided to try the Buffalo chicken pizza but I don't like blue cheese so I didn't get that on it, but I added purple onions. There wasn't a long line for lunch, but it took about 10-15 minutes after ordering the pizza to get it (since there were a few people who ordered before me) which was fine. Once the pizza came out of the oven they bring it over to the finishing/drizzle station where you can add freshly shaved Parmesan cheese, ranch, and a whole lot of other items. All of the workers who I encountered were nice and if I had time I would've dined in as it had a good bit of seating. I enjoyed my Buffalo chicken pizza more than I thought I would! Only complaints is that I think it could've been cooked a little longer. I like pizza with crispy edges and felt the middle also could've been cooked a little more. The dough closer to the middle was a little soggy, but the flavor was there! Also I think the online ordering could be a little better. While there are some edits you can make there isn't a comment section or a place where you can decide if you only want a topping on a certain side of the pizza. Overall, I'd go again. read more

I have had Lit a few times, and my experiences have been mixed, but consistently, I just don't think the pizzas get cooked long enough. I came in on a Saturday night, and there were about 5 people in front of me, so I had a little time to choose what I wanted. I went back and forth between building my own and doing one of their signatures, so I chose theirs, and I ordered the Easy Caprese. Service was 4/5, although it was very difficult to hear them in there. The poor employee had to repeat himself a few times, but the noise bounces around and it's just difficult. It was great to see him patiently training someone who seemed to be a little newer. The value was great - under $10 for a craft pizza. It only took about 10 minutes and I was out the door. I got home, and, as with just about any Lit pizza, the crust didn't seem to be cooked all the way through and the cheese didn't really even melt. Each slice was fairly cold and the crust just flopped over. The toppings don't stay on the pizza, so it's a real mess. They over did the minced garlic on this one, and there were nearly clove sized chunks throughout. The crust also tasted doughy. I know the pizzas are really just flash cooked, so I guess this is what they're going for. I'd probably rate the pizza right about a 2/5. This isn't the first time this has happened - my friends ordered a couple for movie night and it was the same issue with the super thin dough. I guess with fast food pizza, this is the experience to expect, but I'm not sure Lit will be in my rotation anymore. read more

The staff was super friendly and helpful and the pizza was ready pretty quickly. This is a "fast fired" thin crust pizza, which comes out crispy and delicious. They also offer pre-made salads. I wanted to try the caprese salad, but they were out, so I tried the caesar, which left a lot to be desired. The croutons were stale, which was disappointing. The dressing was your "run of the mill" bottled dressing, which wasn't a big deal but hey, who goes to a pizza place for the salad anyway, right?! The salad was not a dealbreaker, trust me. First time to visit- ordered the cauliflower crust Localite pizza with pepperoni, andouille, jalapeños and hot sauce on the side. Also added the garden Lite salad which comes premade in a cooler. Salad was lots of fresh spinach, feta and Greek olives. Tasty but hard to mix, dress and eat in the small plastic bowl from the serving cooler. Loved the topping selection and service was quick and friendly. The cauliflower crust did not come out as crispy as desired. It was definitely on the floppy, saggy side of things. The only place I've found that cooks the cauliflower pizza not in the metal tray. I think this helps to make it crispier, which is better, in my opinion. We did have one bad service experience once with my husband, but it was an isolated incident. I love trying the "POTM" (Pizza of the Month) as they come up with some great alternatives to the regular menu. You really cannot beat the price and value of what you get here. read more

I have been to several LIT Pizza locations in the Baton Rouge area. The restaurants are beautiful on the inside. Every new one they build, they just get better & better. This was probably my most favorite one of all the ones I've been to. With COVID going on, of course it's sad to see empty dining areas. The dining area there was so huge! They spaced tables and booths pretty well. Also by now, I think people are becoming more okay with spacing themselves out. I know I am and hope that other citizens are mindful of it. The staff was hard at work in the kitchen prepping, making, topping and baking. I accidentally started at the wrong end and I felt like the gentleman that told me that did seem a bit annoyed at me. I did not let him ruin my experience though. So, I went back to the correct area to order and looked over the menu (which is super easy, BTW). The lady that took my order was super sweet and was quick to start prepping my order. It looked as if they had some newer people working there. The young lady at the register was brand new! She made sure to let me know of it before she started ringing up my order. I really wish they would add the November 2020 "pizza of the month" - Izzo's Mexican Style Pizza (that was pretty darn incredible) to their permanent menu. That was probably my favorite mash-up. I love Lit Pizza and this was my first time at the Corporate Blvd location. I usually get the Easy Caprese, which is delicious and vegetarian-friendly. It was just as good at this location! The workers I interacted with were very polite. I would give five stars except for two things -- first, it does take a while. We went on a Saturday at 6pm, and between waiting in line, ordering, and the pizza being ready, it took 35 minutes. Much of that was because of the line, so that just speaks to their popularity which is a good thing! But don't expect to be in and out if you're showing up to get your pizza to go. I think you can order ahead though which we probably should have done. The other thing I noticed is that the customers in line were not social distancing... Lit Pizza does have stickers on the ground to indicate 6 ft for a few spots in line, but when I was there the line extended far beyond that and people were standing pretty close together. I would have felt more comfortable if there had been a better system in place to have a socially distanced line, like maybe having it extend outside. read more

The display of everything made you want literally everything! It's set up sort of like an assembly line. After you make your choices, your pizza is literally baked before your eyes. I was able to select a pizza of my choice for $8!! Woohoo!! It included the regular crust and the toppings of my choice. For an additional $4 I believe I could have gotten the cauliflower crust. Since I don't eat either type of bread and was only going to go for the toppings, I chose the cheaper choice. After you get your pizza, you select your own seat and fix your own drink. It kind of reminds me of a cafeteria like setting, but way nicer. Everything was clean and set up for social distancing. Hopefully, a crust less option will be available soon. The crust was thin and wonderfully toasty with the toppings really melting into the cheese. Nothing overwhelmed each other with the toppings evenly spread. The sauce and cheese were also portioned so there was no cheese/ sauce overload to overtake the pizzas. The process of building the pizza was organized and easy however once the pizza was done baking the last step (any extra sauce or toppings) got a little confusing for the workers. They had a hard time placing the pizzas with the order #. I got habanero honey to try and it was overly sweet with little spice, so if you're into sweet and spice it might be for you.
