My boyfriend and I were in town from Los Angeles, for a Spring training game. A friend recommended Wigwam for a day of leisure. We didn't make it to the pool, but we did get to have dinner at Litchfield's and it was such a beautiful resort , the ambiance was incredible. My boyfriend loved all the wooden floors and western aesthetic. He mentioned what great quality wood floors and tables there were. We arrived early and had a cocktail at the bar prior to entering the restaurant, the waitress and service were great as well. At Litchfield's we sat outside and the ambiance was very pleasant, welcoming and cozy. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp puttanesca, very good and I ordered the marinated wagyu flank, very delicious and cooked to perfection. We also had the garlic Parmesan fries and mashed potatoes. Everything was very tasty and definitely did not disappoint. Our server was more than helpful in making suggestions and he accommodated us accordingly. The cocktails were also well made and just the right touch. Overall this restaurant is very inviting and excellent with the treatment of their customers. Anniversary brunch at Litchfield's was a memorable and relaxing experience. We were greeted with friendly faces as we meandered through this historic landmark. There were many conversation starters in the art and historic artifacts throughout. Decor was rustic southwest, but not dated. Outdoor grounds were just as striking with native fauna and plenty of photo opps. There was plenty of seating both outdoor and indoor. Our reservations were for outside. The weather was perfect and our table location had the right amount of privacy. We didn't feel like we were on top of other diners. Our brunch items seemed light but was packed with flavor. We were absolutely stuffed! The presentation was colorful and photo worthy. Every bite was delicious and satisfying. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Everyone who came to our table was friendly and kept the same delightful energy. We appreciated the handwritten and signed card! What a nice touch. Restaurant is located in a country club. Parking required valet service and the door to the restaurant is difficult to locate without directions. The menu is Tex-Mex inspired service was very good and the food met our expectations. We had a work dinner here a few weeks back and I have to say.... the meal was the best part, but not the only reason the experience was amazing. Drinks in the lounge before our reservation were delicious! We were escorted to the dining room with our drinks. Food order was taken and place promptly. Appetizers arrived quick and were to die for! Main course was one of the best steak experiences I have ever had in my life. I couldn't have cut it with a fork. You know it's going to be a great meal when the chef comes to the table and personally serves the first course. They have a decent wine list with great recommendations depending on what you are eating and/or enjoy. The ambience of this place is absolutely beautiful. If I could copy and paste the decor into my house, it would truly be a dream. The cocktails were fantastic, but the issue lied in the execution of our meal. I took my parents here as they were visiting out of town. My husband and I had a previous great experience, but this time we were left a little shellshocked. My husband ordered the steak and requested it to be medium, it came out seared and purple on the inside, and was cool to the touch--as rare as it comes. He is not the type to send something back, but it was inedible. It was sent back and my parents and I ate without him. His steak returned after we had already finished, ruining our meal together. We spent $500 between the four of us, and nothing was done to rectify the improperly cooked main dish. We left extremely disappointed and will not be back. read more

Casual classy restaurant at the resort. For a Thursday night it was moderately busy, but a 14 person reservation was accommodated well. The service was great with attention & wait time for the food. Although pricey! The food was superb. The side dishes are separate, but are big enough to share & there were a good amount of options to choose from. The filet was tender & great the next day for lunch. When it was time to go, they pack your left overs for you & put them in a nice Litchfield's paper bag. I expected more but was left wanting. Starting with ambiance, the Wigwam is a nice resort. We've stayed on multiple occasions. The grounds are beautiful. We dined outside and found we could hear both the indoor and the outdoor music, which were both live musicians that did not complement one another. My salad was missing items, my ribeye was very rare when ordered medium and I ended up getting pretty sick the next few days that I would attribute to dining here, but it's not confirmed. The waiter seemed rushed and wasn't warm, made a big deal about needing to get a salad dressing from the bar area. The attendant refilling waters was better. The service from when we arrived until we left was wonderful. The restaurant is a steakhouse where you can see the staff preparing the food. The food was spectacular. The bread and butter had interesting butters and the jalapeño blue corn muffin was the beginning of spectacular. The pork belly was like a bacon steak, also spectacular. The fresh Alaskan halibut in Chardonnay butter sauce spectacular. The ribeye was wonderful although my taste lends itself to the more boring filet. The polenta cake vegetarian side was excellent. We started with drinks, I had a margarita, my beautiful bride ordered a copper cosmo. Both were good. We also ordered a crab cake appetizer which was good, but small for the price. For main course, she ordered the scallops. Her comment was they are good but a little unforgettable. I had the Wagyu flank, ordered medium rare. For a side we ordered mushrooms. My steak was slightly undercooked but better under than over. I had ordered it with blue cheese butter that never really melted, it seemed like a forgotten afterthought. The mushrooms came out just over room temperature. We ate a few then returned them. They offered a re-do but we were almost done with our entrees so we declined. They did bring us a chocolate mousse for desert since it was our anniversary which was delicious and appreciated. The reason for the average review is simple, elegant dining gets increased scrutiny. My husband made a reservation here for us to have a nice little date night since Grandma was taking our 3 boys for a sleepover! Yay- Thanks mom! We have been to the Wigwam many times- several for holiday parties and stays and golfing. So we knew where the entrance was for Litchfield's- however this was our first time into Litchfield's! Walking in- I love the cozy lighting and vibe they have going. They had a live artist singing his own covers and he did an amazing job and it fit the vibe well... I really enjoyed it- my husband and I would see it go could figure out what the song was first!! Fun times! He did a great job of taking songs and making them his own and doing it really well. So kudo's to whoever hired him for the entertainment last Saturday night 7/13! For service- everyone we felt with was very pleasant and friendly! We really like that and appreciate quality service! So that is to be noted! Food was delicious as well!! I ordered the Buffalo steak Med/rare with bleu-cheese butter- it was delicious and cooked to perfection!! (We were just at Arrowhead grill the weekend before and my filet mignon was over cooked for sure... so disappointed! So I was super happy with this!! Plus it was great watching the chef prepare our plates and cook for us over a real wood fire!! My husband ordered the Flank steak with Chimichurri- his was cooked just like he asked! Excellent job! Chimichurri was decent- however I've become a bit of a snob because make the best. Lol! My husband agreed. This was more of a mousse style- I didn't get much coffee flavor- but overall I liked it- just perhaps wouldn't categorize it as a Tiramisu, is all... but still tasty! I would definitely be back- there were people with families- some for dates- some just adults catching up after golf perhaps... so it is dressier but you can still be casual if you can dress biz casual and look nice and put together! What a disappointment Let's start with the sparse menu. It's so limited and when I asked if there were items available to someone who couldn't find something to order. I was told "no this is the menu" No questions about what I might be looking for or she could help me out something together. I ended up ordering fish and it was okay. Everyone thought their meals were mediocre. There was a girl circling the table as the dishes piled up - she actually asked my husband if he was still working on his meal while the fork was in his mouth and left all of the appetizer plates and dinner plates on the table that needed to be removed. It was my fiends Birthday so they asked if she would like a desert / while the menu was handed to her she asked for another drink. The desert was delivered - some blueberry and lemon pastry that was awful. My friend described it perfectly- this is like the bread you would let get stale so you can make stuffing. You couldn't cut it with a fork. As a matter of fact - when someone tried, it flew across the table #truestory The waitress comes over and asks if he wanted the the appetizers on a check for me and my husband "our friend said "no, I want the whole check" she leaves, and now brings the drink my friend ordered before the desert was ordered and it ended up being a wrong drink. The waitress said that she would remove it from the check and walked away and didn't ask if my friend whose birthday it was wanted the correct drink The waitress then comes to the table with two checks one for us, and one for our friends after being told on three occasions that it was to all be on one bill. To end this night we paid our bill they paid their bill and we left. This was my second visit to this restaurant. It will most certainly be our last. I was speaking to a friend today at lunch, and was telling her of our experience, and she, too, said we went once, and after her experience, we would never go again. Visiting our son in AZ and wanted to have a nice meal. Located Litchfield's which is located at the Wigwam. It was one of the best meals we have had. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice. There is valet parking and it does help to ask for directions to the hostess stand if you have never been as you will walk past registration and the bar until you reach the restaurant. We had reservations and were sat in a spacious booth right away. We started with a glass of wine and the Litchfield smoked old fashioned. The old fashioned is made with their private reserve Knob Creek. For entrees we had the filet and the ribeye. We chose the mashed potatoes, creamed corn and gourmet Mac as sides. The steaks were cooked perfectly! My ribeye was so juicy and was one of the best steaks I have had. All of the sides were delicious, especially the gourmet Mac. Our son ate all of it. Our server was very good and really took care of us. There are also staff that will fill your water glass even if they aren't taking care of you. We are staying at the Wigwam for one night for a soccer game in the morning, and it happens to be my birthday so we decided to have a birthday dinner at Litchfield's. Such a great experience! The butter flight was amazing, I got the ribeye and my husband got the Buffalo filet and we also got the mushrooms. Everything was outstanding. For drinks, he had the smoked old fashioned, and spicy pear margarita, I had the home made apple cider sangria and copper cosmo. All were delicious. Our daughter got the kids chicken tenders and it was so great that the kids meals come with a sundae. And because it's my birthday, they gave me a sweet birthday card and brought us a slice of the most delicious hazelnut cake I've ever had. Among the good, the service was very good, the restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a relaxing ambiance; and I appreciated the opportunity to try some new entrees, a Bison Filet Mignon and Wild Boar Ragu ... both were okay, not great. Among the bad, the Au Gratin Potatoes were terrible and the restaurant simply does not provide great value. I attribute the inflated prices to being in a resort. WOW! This place was phenomenal! Started off the night with a delicious peppermint espresso martini from their seasonal drink menu. Reminded me of a Starbucks drink with the cold foam on the top! The pork belly was delicious and melted in your mouth, and came with a yummy apple slaw on the side. The Alaskan Salmon was to die for and crusted with walnuts which added such a crispy touch to it. The service was great as well, very attentive and great with recommendations. The ambiance was BEAUTIFUL especially around Christmas time they have some beautiful decorations and lights set up. To finish off the night we had tiramisu and butter cake, that just really topped everything off. Staying at resort and have to leave for dinner because they want to do a limit menu and premium pricing to accommodate more than 10 people. Yet, the restaurant is always dead. The food was amazing here. The chef cooks everything in a stove in the middle so you can see the action. To start I got their Field Greens Salad it had Cranberry, apple, pecan, blue cheese, honey mustard dressing. For $15 I was surprised by the size. It was pretty small for the price. For the entree I got the Duroc Pork Chop. It was cooked medium but next time I'd go medium rare. The apply chutney was really good and I hate cooked fruit!
