I does feel a bit too spaced out and I wish the shelves were a bit higher. I can understand the shelves being low as a way to deter theft, but maybe towards the center of the store they could be higher. I came a few days after the grand opening and it was packed. Plenty of selection, but the prices of books once again were a bit too much compared to other places. Love the store, worth visiting if you're in the little tokyo area.

This new space is absolutely massive and beautifully spread out! Walking inside instantly triggered so much nostalgia for the cute little bookstores and stationary shops I visited when I was in Japan. Everything is so neatly arranged and wrapped. They have an incredible selection of books in both English and Japanese. Seriously, they have everything you can think of: manga, magazines, cookbooks, adorable plushies, stationery, and T-shirts. When we went, they even had some amazing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure artwork on the wall and tons of Pokémon merch. My friend and I stopped by right after the anime convention ended, and the place was packed. Because it gets so busy, they have a strict "no drinks" policy, resulting in a hilariously massive pile of boba and coffees left at the front entrance. The employees seemed overwhelmed & nobody greeted us. My only real critique: Prepare yourself for the price tags. Everything is extremely overpriced. I saw a pretty basic black T-shirt featuring a famous Japanese artist's work going for $60. I get that it's specialty import stuff, but it's definitely an investment! Tip: It's a fantastic place to visit, but if you want to actually browse the Studio Ghibli or anime sections without fighting a crowd, try to come during the week!

When I first found out this pop up was happening, I was super excited... until I found out that…read moredogs were not allowed to this PET themed pop-up. I do not know what happened, but now pets are allowed and so as soon as I found out, my dog and I got our tickets and went!! This pop up is located in the arts district, so parking can be tight. It says on their website that they have limited parking available, but I have no idea where that is located and completely forgot about it and so we parked in the parking lot just across the street. It was $6 until 6pm, but my dog and I were only at the pop up for a little over an hour. PetPop was really easy to find and not far from the freeway exit. If you are bringing your furbaby, I would HIGHLY suggest buying your tickets online before coming. The reason is, they allow only 5 dogs per time slot. Honestly, I love this idea. It makes it less stressful on both your furbabies and for humans as more dogs means more unpredictable and conflict. When my boy and I went, there was only one other dog during the time slot. They started us off at different ends of the first room to avoid any issues. We never bumped heads during the experience and it felt like my dog and I had the place to ourselves. Of course, we also went during the first time slot on a weekday, so I am not sure how busy this place gets. Although my dog and I had fun, this pop up is on the price side. People tickets are $28 and dog tickets are $10, so for just my dog and me, it was $38 for about an hour of entertainment. They also have happy hour pricing during the weekday from 3-6pm. It is $25 for people, but I think dog tickets are the same price. To me, I would rather pay the $3 more and avoid that time slot as it will put in the midst of rush hour. The staff was super friendly and helped to take pictures also. When I went, NBC was there shooting a special on the pop up. I was hoping they would take to people there too, but they didn't. Also, the main girl filming was super unfriendly. I smiled and her and she was had b#%*$-face on and snottily looked at me and walked right past me!! Whatever, I have no idea who she is and my dog probably weighs more than her! Anyways, I digress. Back to the experience. The rooms and backdrops were really cute. All the spaces in between are large and there is plenty of room to pose and take pictures. I would suggest taking your time and taking lots of different and fun pictures! I think there are about 10 different scenes to take photos. My regret is not bringing my Nikon! I took all my photos on my cell phone, but you bet the next pop up I go to, I will bring my Nikon! My dog's favorite experience was the giant pool filled with bounce balls!! I will have to recreate something like that in our backyard for him! At the end, there is a little gift shop area with some cute merchandise. I sure got some items! There is also a doggy adoption area and today they had the cutest litter of pups!!! I wish I had time for another puppy right now. Maybe when my pup gets a bit older. There are also some games for people to play. There are water bowls spread around and some pee pads in various locations also. I love how things and places are becoming more dog-friendly now! If your pup loves to go out with you and is well behaved, I highly recommend going to this! I would say this is more fun with your dog, but I saw some people going sans dog. This is only here in town for another month. Catch it before it leaves!! My dog and I had a great time and an glad we got to experience this!

This popup is designed for animals lovers to take photos with their pets. You don't have to bring a pet to have a good time - you could just take photos of your friends and yourself. On the weekends, rescue dogs from local rescue groups are available on-site. My husband and I brought two small dogs with us to photograph. Parking was tough, but we managed to find free public parking on the street adjacent to Guerilla Tacos. Once we check in at the front desk, an employee guided is around the popup event and told is about each of the displays that we could take photos or videos as we pleased. The staff limits the amount of people and animals allowed at any given time, so it is best to pre-purchase tickets! The backgrounds and displays were cute! They had hamster wheels, pools of balls, fish bowls, and so much more. My dogs look super cute in their photographs, and I truly enjoyed the experience. It took me a little over an hour to walk through the displays and capture the photos I wanted. For safety reasons, dogs have to be leashed, and I did my best hiding the leashes in the photos! The entrance fee was somewhat expensive when you consider that your pet also has to pay for admission, but this is a unique experience that all animal lovers will appreciate! Totally worth it!

We stopped at the candy store, grabbed ice cream at McConnell's, picked up empanadas, and finished with cinnamon buns. Every stop felt fun and easy, and she loved having so many choices in one place. They also had a pop‑up shop selling World Cup merchandise, which was a cool surprise. Downstairs, there was a viewing area set up so people could watch the games. It added a great energy to the whole place and made the visit feel even more lively. For such a busy market, the bathroom was surprisingly clean. Parking was simple too. There's a structure attached to the building, and for about an hour I only paid five dollars, which is rare for downtown. My daughter absolutely loves this place and already wants to come back to try more of the restaurants. Grand Central Market is lively, colorful, and full of great food options. However the flavor combination in my general opinion to this type of food is missed as you don't really taste all the flavors together well I mostly just taste the chocolate. However for this place the strawberries they chose and cut look and smell incredible. They were juicy. They even use gel ice packs to keep it fresh and I like that they keep it in a zip lock bag so that it doesn't directly touch the strawberries. The kataifi they use is amazing. The texture its absolute crispy crunchy perfection. Their proportions were very fair with the amount of chocolate, pistachio and knafee they put. I was able to coat the strawberries no problem. Parking here is good street or private lot. I would advise them to invest and get a bigger melting pot, we waited awhile when they had their long line for their free sample day. That was understandable though since there was a long line of people and only one person was working at a time. I know it's to help advertise them but for future business I would advise like an assembly line so that the process could go by faster if they have a line. Overall yummy and pleased. Also very cool how they are on uber eats and door dash. Also from what i've seen around fair prices
