    Weatherford looks gorgeous at night

Western decor inside captures the back in the day western saloon and lodging vibe. I expected to run into cowboys and miners inside. The furnishings reflect the earlier years. Beautiful woodworks, lots of red velvet seatings. It's super interesting and I feel so transported back to the wild Wild West !

My wife and I will always stay at the Weatherford when we come to Flagstaff. Hotel has three bars; Charley's on the main level, Zane Grey is on the higher level with a gorgeous veranda where you can sit outside, and the Gopher Hole which is downstairs (basement). Both Charley's and Gopher Hole have live music which we love. It's great to stay in a hotel where you can just go up or down and be entertained. That being said, we had the worst experience staying there at the end of June. Our room was number 43 which we have never stayed in. Room 43 faces the street (Aspen) and has two windows directly above a concrete stairwell that leads to the Gopher Hole which can be accessed vis Aspen instead of going through the hotel. What they don't tell you about this room is that the bottom of this stairwell is a designated smoking area for the Gopher Hole patrons. What happens is that people go out to smoke (not only cigarettes) and will congregate for extended periods of time talking loudly as they've been drinking most of the night. Being that it's in a concrete stairwell the noise has nowhere to go but up as does the cigarette smoke. You cannot open a window or get any peace to try to sleep until after the bar closes which is 2am. We both went to the desk to complain and asked for another room. Unfortunately no other rooms were available and we were just given the canned statement that, "we're an entertainment hotel and noise is to be expected". Yes that we know but you didn't tell us about that room and possibly 44 when we were checking in. That would've been easy especially that we checked in on a Wednesday and they probably could've given us a different room. Anyway long story short is I'll never stay at the Weatherford again as they showed that they care more about the bar patrons than hotel guests. At $200 a night, I think a little head's up about the room would've been nice.

We stayed two nights, such a beautiful hotel from the late 1800s. There's three bars and a restaurant connected to it. Rooms were tiny but if you're just looking for a good location if you need a place to crash after hitting the bars

Delicious food and atmosphere ! Will definitely come here again.

Hidden gem with a rich history. The food was delicious and the menu had something for everyone.

We stopped for happy hour. The owners were there and shared the history of the Hotel. We had a great time in 2 of the three bars in the Hotel. Well worth checking out this historical building.

Came here for the pinecone drop which was great! The VIP experience on the balcony looked fun too and we might do that next year.

Went to a memorial for an old friend I had known since 2nd grade. A sad time but we tried at his prior request to celebrate his life. As part of the celebration he liked going to The Weatherford Hotel. A group of us went and there was a band playing in the large bar. This is much more than an 1897 historic hotel in the heart of Flagstaff's historic downtown district. I wandered around and took these pics in between throwing down a few cocktails in our friend's honor. I know there seventeen boutique hotel rooms, but none of us stayed in the rooms here so I leave that to other Yelpers. I definitely enjoyed our celebration for our friend.

I can't say enough about the food at Charly's! Bartenders are my go to. We love the service and always a pleasure to see Sam and the crew.

Do you allow small dogs to stay at your hotel?

Unfortunately, we only allow service animals in the hotel. We do have a dog friendly patio as part of our restaurant Charly's if that is of interest!

The views from the back of the lodge are breathtaking. There is an area where wedding ceremonies take place that looks out into the beautiful mountains. It really is gorgeous. The main hall is a nice size. You can easily fit 150 probably up to 250. I am not sure what the actual limit is. Or friend's wedding had just over 100 and there was a ton of room. During the rehearsal (3pm) and on the night of the wedding, there were deer that came down into the fields....so beautiful. The staff said they deer are regularly there every afternoon. The Food Our friend's wedding was buffet style and the food was good. We had a chicken Alfredo pasta, salad, mac and cheese, and bread service. There was a cash-only bar that according to my wife, had good drinks. The Staff The only member of the staff that I worked with was Linda. She was amazing and was so patient with our party. I believe she is one of the head members at the Elk's club, and she really just tried to make the best out of every situation on the day of the wedding. We had a few schedule issues that came up and she did great working with all the different personalities. Overall, depending on the vibe you are looking for with your event, the Elks Lodge is a good choice. There is a ton of parking, the offer food and all of the table and chair rentals are included.

Little America Hotel - Double room

    Little America Hotel

My overall rating for Little America Hotel Flagstaff is 3 stars…read more I want to start by saying that overall, many of the staff were kind, and I've stayed at this property multiple times before with good experiences. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds and pillows are amazing, and the views of the Coconino Forest are beautiful. I also really enjoy the heated pool, the walking trails, and how convenient the location is to nearby stores, gas stations, food, and the highway. However, this stay started off on a rough note during check-in and unfortunately impacted my overall experience. When I approached the front desk, the representative (I believe his name was Hudson) had just been warm and friendly with the guests ahead of me. But when it was my turn, his entire demeanor shifted. I greeted him politely, introduced myself, and asked how he was doing--he didn't acknowledge my greeting at all. He became very robotic, avoided eye contact, and rushed through the process in a way that felt uncomfortable and dismissive. The interaction continued to feel tense. He spoke quickly, made assumptions about my payment method, and presented documents to sign without explanation or engagement. The only time he made eye contact was when emphasizing rules about no smoking and no pets. I had previously called to confirm that I could bring my cat, who is an emotional support animal, and was told that would be allowed with documentation. When I explained this, he became agitated and insisted I must have spoken to a third party, implying the information I received wasn't valid. After requesting a manager, the situation shifted, and I was eventually allowed to proceed with a one-time fee instead of a nightly charge. However, the interaction felt unnecessarily difficult and uncomfortable. What made this experience more concerning was something I observed after checking in. When I connected to the TV system, I noticed that one of the device names visible on the network included a racial slur. Guests do not have the ability to rename these TVs--they are pre-programmed--so this is something that had to come from within the organization. That was extremely upsetting and unacceptable to see in a professional environment. It's 2026, and people are still out here using racial slurs, spreading hate instead of love and kindness. I'm not interested in being in environments that feel stuck in the past. I want to be around warm, welcoming, modern people who choose unity over division. This is the main reason I cannot rate this stay higher. While I understand that not everyone reflects this behavior, it raises serious concerns about oversight and accountability. Management should be more attentive to what is happening within their establishment, especially when it comes to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all guests. It's disappointing because I've enjoyed staying here in the past. However, based on this experience, I don't feel comfortable returning and will choose to spend my money elsewhere moving forward.
