Came upon this place during a morning walk and so glad we did. Little Bean has a cozy interior with a photo wall and board games. Perfect place to have a seat and enjoy a morning coffee. The French toast latte with oat milk was the highlight for me. You can really taste the maple syrup and it's sweet without being overwhelming. My girlfriend got the Midnight Mocha with almond milk and they swapped the dark roast for their medium blend no problem. She loved it. The warmed butter croissant was a simple but solid addition. Staff was genuinely friendly too. Apparently the owners had a coffee shop in New York before the pandemic and brought that energy out here to Santa Monica. It shows. Little Bean Coffee is hands down my newest (to me), favorite coffee shop! I've really been liking my weekend stops on the way to the beach lately. They have just a couple parking spots in the back/side so for me it's more of grab & go spot. However for locals, it's a really cute place to chill for awhile. They have a counter looking out the window and a few tables to drink at. Little Bean has a pachinko machine which brought back cute childhood memories playing at my Grandparent's house, awww nostalgia. The staff is always very friendly and works quickly to get their multi-ingredient drinks out. Now the drinks are something of splendor here! I am a cold brew-aholic and they have 3 base styles here - Red, Blue and Black - all delicious. Plus you can get a growler of these, currently at $28. They have tons of drinks mixed with these cold brews, tons of other drinks, always have some specials by the register and then their award winning Sapphire Cold Brew which comes in a 2 oz pour for $3 (you can add additional ounces if you fancy) in an adorable fancy tasting style glass. You'll feel fancy drinking this one - I sure did! But more importantly it's so darn good. I've tried some of their specialities as well - the rich, creaminess of the Midnight Mocha Latte is to die for! Welcome to Little Bean Cold Brew, a small independent roaster and coffeehouse conveniently located directly across the street from Santa Monica High School. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you don't score one of the two ten-minute spots in their tiny lot tucked away in the back but, trust, they're entirely worth the hunt for a proper parking spot on those busy streets. How do you like your coffee? Yes, I know I already asked. Seriously, no matter how you want it, owner-operator Chris will not only make it, he'll nail it. I've been back a few times, sometimes under the radar to try different brews, and sometimes to spend time chatting with Chris and Claire, his wife and co-owner. My coffee is always perfect. The space is warm and inviting, the walls covered with both their photos and drawings by their son. There are tables, games, books, proper dishes and wifi for those wanting to linger, and to-go cups and pastries for those on the run. This is perhaps the best coffee shop in all of west LA. Chris is one of the most skilled coffee curator and barista that I ever met. He can deftly switch from a regular pour over to making the same coffee Turkish style, or have it as a cold brew or espresso. This level of skill and consistency takes many years of mastery. Also, being owner driven, the service is impeccable and warm. It's rare to find prices that are so approachable, especially. not on the westside. For the quality, LBCB could charge 50% more, however I suspect the goal is to be a good neighbor. It's kid friendly, and there's a beautiful space with games and books to drink your coffee in peace. I've also had great experience buying beans that make excellent cappuccino, cold brew that is delicious as is. If I were designing a coffee experience, this would be it. I wouldn't change a thing about how it's run or what they offer. Give it a try, you may find yourself addicted! Tip: Try the award winning sapphire cold brew. Tried the Midnight Mocha, it was well balanced and delicious. My boyfriend had a Latte with caramel flavoring and his was also great! The pastries are tasty and they will warm it up for you. The shop is ran by the owner and his wife which were both friendly and provided great service. Can't wait to come back and try a different beverage. Amazing coffee spot!! Don't be fooled by the name, they have lots of other options for drinks rather than just cold brew! The owner let us try all of their cold brew selections, the red, black, and blue. The red was by far our favorite, it was bold and rich and had nice notes. The black was our second favorite. The blue was nice but it has really strong notes of blueberry and it was very light, which I wasn't in the mood for. I got the red cold brew with maple syrup and oat milk and my fiancé got the red cold brew just black. We also got a pecan pie bar, which was absolutely stellar!!! I would come back for just the bar, but the coffee was so delicious too. The owner was so knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming, and they even have a little lending library with cool books for people to borrow from. 10/10 coffee, food, experience, and ambiance, and we will definitely be coming back! For two small cold brews, one with syrup and alternative milk (which they don't charge for which is refreshing!!), and a pecan pie bar, it was $13 even. What a great and affordable price when this at another coffee shop would have been over $20 easy. read more

Personable little spot with lots of natural light & friendly owner. They don't charge extra for oat milk either, which is awesome. Some beaded art/other knick knacks for sale around the shop too. Parking is sparse on the side, but you can always order ahead and put your hazards on. Cold brew varieties are pretty good and caffeinated, so you are definitely getting what you pay for. You can also purchase cold brews here in larger glass bottles to take home, which is nice. Maple latte - just a build your own latte with their maple syrup. Solid latte to grab n go. The coffee was absolutely delicious. The owner is super friendly and helpful with making a choice. He explained to us how he makes his own blends and even let us sample them before making a choice I got the blue with sugar free vanilla and oat milk and it was so delicious that my boyfriend had to get the same thing the next day. He got the red the first day and also loved it but we both agree the blue is our favorite. The space is small but was very welcoming right when you first walk in. Can't say enough good things about this spot not just the drinks, but the whole vibe and the owner himself. The shop is cozy and full of little details that make it feel warm and welcoming. There's also plenty of comfy seating, which is a nice bonus! The owner is honestly one of the kindest people I've met. I first stopped in a few months ago when I moved into the neighborhood and tried the drip coffee. He must've picked up on the fact that it wasn't my thing. Fast forward 4 months later he saw me and my dog walking by, remembered me, and invited me back in to try something else on the house. Such a gem of a local corner coffee shop. If you're new to specialized brews, the owner is super helpful and walks you through everything based on what you're looking for. Or if you don't feel like talking to humans you can just do it all through your phone or a touch screen. I always get the dark roast with extra oat milk, and the owner asks if the color is just right. The coffee itself is smooth, strong and gives off different flavor notes. I usually brew at home having worked at coffee shops for 7 years, but when I'm in a pinch, I feel like I'm getting what I'm paying for here. They even have a community bookcase where you can swap books. Definitely recommend stopping by! read more
