Service here is great. 2nd time coming here. First time I was really disappointed and couldn't understand why any one would serve a messy burrito cut in half. Slop city. Thought I'd give this place another shot and...it's just perfectly fine. Tried one of their bowls and the portion is huge, meat well seasoned but the bowls are mostly big scoops of white rice, black beans and corn. The food here is healthy and delicious! I also really enjoy their drinks and appreciate the study cups that are ideal for taking to the beach. They have a variety of proteins on their menu and we enjoyed all of them. My salmon was absolutely delicious and their Asian bowl was light and healthy full of flavor. Tried this place for the first time and it was fantastic! I already want to go back and try more dishes. Very nice location with a short walk to the beach. The inside was very clean, cute, and spacious. There is also an outside patio. No shortage of sitting options. We ended up ordering the super bowls- VIP Poke and Kebobs Mediterraneo. Both with white rice and greens. I honestly loved both of them equally. The quality of fish in the poke was outstanding and the chicken kebob was so tender and juicy. We also got the Pineapple Zingy Fizzy drink which was very refreshing on the warm day. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The only thing I want to add is that on the menu board had a key for items, one being a * indicates the item contain nuts. I had the most fantastic experience here. I encountered it for the first time this week and immediately had to take the opportunity to return within a few days to share with a friend. Only a few minutes from the beach! The super bowls are incredible. We got the kabobs mediterranos and vip poke, and they absolutely surpassed hopes and expectations. The food probably took less than 10 mins to get ready and I was greeted with warmth and smile. All I can say is wow. We're in the area often, and today we were looking for a new, cool spot to try when my wife came across Rábanos. I'm really glad she did. My wife was craving Thai food, so she ordered the Thai dish, while I was stuck between the Peruvian Saltado and the Showtime Burger. I ended up going with the burger, and I'm glad I did. It was absolutely amazing -- flavorful, high quality, and perfectly put together. From the first bite, you could taste all the layers of flavor in what honestly felt like a masterpiece of a burger. Both dishes were very good, but the burger was definitely the winner for us. We also tried the Garage beer, which was super light and delightful, along with a latte. The latte was okay. We're big coffee people, so it didn't quite meet our expectations. It was served too hot, and the milk seemed overheated. The coffee itself tasted good, but it didn't feel carefully crafted. I enjoy latte art and that first sip from a freshly made uncapped latte, and that part was missing for me. That said, the food was so good that we're more than willing to overlook the coffee. Lots of high top tables, so should consider this if you have small kids like me, or have any mobility issues. I invited people who had never been and we enjoyed everything we ordered. For a lighter lunch we had Chinese chicken salad, the Koreano bowl with ancient grains, the Cubano bowl with ancient grains, and the carne asada with ancient grains. My favorite was the Cubano with fabulous shredded and seared pork, vinegar onions and delicious black beans. All the beef dishes used good quality meat and it was tender with a generous portion for the price. The chicken salad had beautiful watermelon radish slices and mamadaron orange segments. It came with a very light dressing and the chicken was moist. I will have to come back one day to try their coffee and dessert! I had never heard of Rabano, but the food and menu looked spectacular, and I was ecstatic to try something different in Santa Monica! I didn't have any trouble with parking, though it was on a weekday afternoon, so maybe it would be different on another day. When I arrived, the menu was so big you couldn't miss it, and I did have a hard time choosing from the bowl selections. But thankfully, the employees were so kind and helped me figure out which bowl I was feeling, and I went with the beef barbacoa bowl and honey lemonade. I especially loved the carb/grain options and always jumped at the opportunity to do both noodles and rice in my plate. The honey lemonade was pretty good, but the waiter was so accommodating and informed me to let him know if I wanted it a bit sweeter, which I wanted, and after that, it was perfect. Immediately when I saw my plate, I just knew it would be good, and it truly was, as everything on the plate was perfect and went together so well in my taste buds. I discovered Rabano through the Mainopoly event and have been a huge fan ever since! They have delicious and nutritious food - generous on the vegetables and so flavorful. I love their thai chicken curry with a full breast and generous vegetables and a good little bit of spice. I also love the edamame wontons! Such a great appetizer. The mahi-mahi tacos were good I wasn't a big fan of the way. The salmon tasted so I probably will not get that again. And I wasn't a fan of having my salad dressing watered down. I was hoping for more flavor with the dressing and the salad but the dressing was clearly watered down - bummer. I've been to Rabano a dozen times. Though I love their food, my takeout order experience has been frustrating. I would have servers walk away from me the moment I arrived. Often, I would be stuck in line while patrons debated what to order. And finally, I would see food delivery drivers aggressively cut in front of me, demanding their takeout orders while I was patiently waiting. There was one occasion when I waited so long that, in frustration, I reached over the glass barrier and took my order instead of waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. This is currently my new favorite healthy restaurant spot! Huge selection for salads, sandwiches, tacos, super bowls, and vegan options to choose from. This is what I tried: lechon cubano (my personal favorite from the night!), thai chicken, peruvian saltado with steak, and chicken soup (probably one of the best chicken soups I've had. I love that they are very mindful about picking the highest quality local seasonal ingredients and they cook with olive+avocado oil only.
