Field greens , rice , SEARED SALMON, ROASTED BEETS AND LENTILS, SWEET POTATOES, avocado, nut, sriracha sauce--- Amazing
    Vinnette P.

The service was incredible as my server guided me through selection. Field greens, a little rice, lentil and beets, sweet potato and salmon. This was topped with nuts and a sriracha dressing. Yes, it was expensive but my body thanked me- so yes it was worth it! It's in the mall, but the ambiance was good enough to enjoy my meal quietly.

You ever go to a place that's so good it feels outright refreshing. Incredible. I'd never have guessed one of the most fulfilling meals I had would be from a mall food court, but here we are. The customer service was perfect. The beet falafel was delicious. The salmon was surprisingly good. Wow. I'll be back.

I'm so glad I stopped by for lunch! I was look for another salad place. I found this spot a few weeks ago, and have been wanting to stop by. Today I was finally able to. I knew what I was going to order before I got there. They have lots of options - you can order one of their salads or make your own. I made my own with: broccoli, sweet potatoes, beans, corn and falafels. I ordered tahini on the side. I loved the broccoli, sweet potatoes and falafels - I would definitely order each of those again. I would stop by here again to try more of their options. I'm so glad that I finally stopped by.

The food was so unlike its description that I think the chef had the night off. No taste, no dressing on broccoli dish; beet and lentil dish didn't make sense soft beet bits and hard lentils. I was hoping for something very much more delicious than what I got. All the reviews I read were raves!! Oh dear!!!

Absolutely grateful for Kate to give me the opportunity to attend this wonderful yelp event at The little beet. Never heard of this place before but glad I did now. I have been a vegetarian all my life and constantly searching for food places that excite my taste buds. It can be boring to eat like grass aka veggies everyday but hey if someone can feed me the same food in different ways I am all about that!! Food was absolutely amazing!! I love love love love the sweet potatoes and brown rice. Hands down the best I have ever had. Mind you, I hate brown rice but this is not your ordinary brown rice. The rice had so much flavor to it and it was little spicy which I like. They had salmon also but I didn't try it since no sea food for me. But I am sure it was good since they had to bring few refills for it. Service is top notch and the employees here surely enjoy their work. My apology but I forgot the name of the wonderful gentleman working at The Beet who gave me samples for tofu, quinoa, and beans to try. Oh matofu was so good (I love tofu) and quinoa never tried something like this before.

I was shopping in The Westchester today and was feeling a little hungry. Since I took the day off, I decided to try something a little different from my regular weekday routine so I headed up to the fourth floor to see what I can find. We all know the deal - The Westchester used to have a crappy food court but has since totally remodeled it and placed higher-end culinary choices in the vacancies. The variety is very good - however since Thanksgiving is two weeks away I really need to keep it tight. After taking a scan of the area, I gravitated towards The Little Beet; it looked healthy so I decided to check it out. The Little Beet specializes in bowls - they have a number of suggestions you can order from off the menu but you can also customize to come up with your own creation. What's nice is that they are vegetarian and vegan friendly which is surprisingly hard to come by in White Plains. Anyway, I decided to make a custom bowl - the menu flows so that you follow it from left to right and make selections to build your meal. I decided to make brown rice my base and add broccoli, lime chicken, and sweet potato; I topped it off with a garlic chili sauce. Overall the bowl was good - the ingredients tasted fresh and it was really filling. Overall, I'm glad Little Beet is here - it's an unexpected eatery to see in a mall, but the surprise is welcome. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their offerings.

If you're a Vegan in White Plains, good luck-because White Plains, is devoid of any Vegan/ Vegetarian spots. Of course you can get by with eating boring salads, steam vegetables or pasta- but wouldn't you want more scrumptious options than that? Location is to your left as soon as you get off the 4th Floor escalator. This place isn't 100% Vegan or Vegetarian, but Little Beet, has very interesting meat-free options. It kind of works on a create-your-own set up on the fly: person behind the counter dishes out your selections in your "bowl" with either grains, Veggies and a Protein (Salmon, Grilled Chicken, Grilled Tofu- and a few others). If getting a Mickey D's salad with unknown additives is your thing- that's on you. Little Beet is quick-service- but don't think selections here- are fast foodish. There are 'Cool' and 'Warm' toppings that you can choose from. I picked Mixed Greens as my base for my bowl with Beets & Lentils, Chipotle Kale & Chickpeas, Tamari-seasoned Salmon and a Lemon vinaigrette- sans mustard. My entire meal was excellent! My daughter raved about hers with Mixed Greens, Golden Cauliflower with Turmeric, Sweet Potatoes with Grilled Tofu- as her Protein. So while Little Beet may not offer a gazillion mixed green selections and add-ons, don't be fooled, this place is very tasty with ingredients sourced from local farms. It's not on the cheap though- but for $15 and change for each, portions are hefty and original for this area. Then again it's top-notch and The Westchester, couldn't settle for less.

Absolutely unacceptable. If I could give zero stars I would. And despite getting a coupon I will never return. Slow service and the employees seemed not to know what are in their pre-packaged meals. But that's just training. The kicker - See Exhibit A- a giant salmon bone that was extracted from my salmon poke bowl after I nearly choked on it. The appalling part wasn't the near choking incident but was the response from the employees. I took the bone up to the counter to show the staff and I was dismissed without even an apology but, "well, it's salmon, it has bones." That is absolutely unacceptable. As someone in food hospitality/industry, preparing poke is essential to do correctly as it is raw. Yes, there are bones but they must be taken out before even serving a customer. I was even more appalled when the staff said, "well, I'll let the general manager know, have a great day" in a snarky sarcastic eyeroll Bye Felicia! way. I'm sure the response from management is going to be that they offered me a replacement, but if there's already salmon bone in one order who's to say it's not in the batch and it won't happen again? Not even an offer for a refund or anything else. I'm giving The Little Beet the boot. Don't waste your time. You should too.

The Little Beet just warms the little dietitian heart within me lol. I first learned about 'The Little Beet' after attending a Yelp Elite event here back in March. During that event, I was able to taste a variety of the menu. In addition, attendees received a thank you card which allowed us to return and try another meal for free. Well, I surely returned shortly after for another tasty meal. Returning the restaurant gave me another perspective as a customer, still just as great. 'The Little Beet' is located in the food court/dining area and features a menu of sustainable, healthy alternatives for just about anyone - vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian - you name it, they can eat here. The layout of the restaurant has a nice modern, rustic and clean feel to it that I love because it it synonymous to its name. Pricing may seem a little high but honestly, I think it's worth it and about the same you would pay at Chipotle or Shake Shake, so no complaints from me. A lot of the items are also full of fiber which will fill you up before you even get half way thru. Food is served pretty similar to Chipotle - you pick a few items to make a complete meal. On this visit, I opted to make my own plate filled with - Brown Rice w/Spirulina Base + sweet potatoes, shaved Brussel sprouts, and roasted chicken with a side of sweet chili garlic and chipotle aioli. My meal cost about $12 total but again, it was complimentary given my incentive. My meal was just as great as it was at the Yelp Elite event. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I sincerely love the shaved brussel sprouts. Until coming here, I had never had Brussel sprouts that weren't cooked but 'The Little Beet' prepares them in such a way that entices you. They are prepared with a light cheese and cranberries which overall, gives it a nice sweet-mellow blend that I really like. I also recommend trying the sauces only because the brown rice can be a little dry for some, so adding the sauce really perks it up a bit. Service was attentive and timely, no issues. Will definitely continue to return and recommend to others. There are other locations which serve breakfast and i'm eager to check that out as well.

This is the second little beet location that I have eaten at. First one was at Roosevelt Field. As I have eaten here before, I know the drill- they appeal to health conscious people and specialize in bowls. You can either have special bowls or you can make your own bowl. I always like to make my own- quinoa, broccoli and avacado , plus with some protein. Here comes my issue with little beet- I have tried their chicken- it tastes weird in my opinion kind of lemonish taste. I also tried beet falafel- I love regular falafel but this beet falafel, I found it very squishy and not tasty for my like. The idea to have customized bowls is good but I just yet couldn't find a protein that suits my taste... My husband likes their special bowls: today he had salmon poke bowl which he said as delicious and filling. Just as a heads up- they don't sell regular soda like coke etc- there is only one brand of fancy soda that has fruit infusions. Overall I like little beet and keeping eating at them as their bowls are healthy and filling.

Fun little walk up spot at the mall, great vegan and vegetarian options but you can get shrimp or meat as well. Food court is very nice and you can get juice smoothies or a beer at the nearby vendors, massive tv and fireplace are also good places to sit.

There were also several picnic benches around the side of the building, but I wasn't clear if they belonged to the restaurant. You order at the register and they call out your name when your food is ready. They have a ton of vegan/vegetarian options, as well as a great breakfast/brunch menu. I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit. The cheddar jalapeño biscuit was delicious. It was buttery and dense. The flavors were mild, but the sandwich was the perfect portion size. I also got a side of the vegan bacon. It was rubbery and tough to chew. Would not recommend. My husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito. We also shared the buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower pieces were well coated in buffalo sauce and very flavorful. I also got the Don't Kale Me juice. It was tangy, citrusy, and refreshing. The Deep Roots smoothie was also quite tasty. They have free self-serve water and the employees were quick to wipe down tables so they were clean for the next party. Looking forward to coming again!

The chicken samosas were served with ketchup and had a slight kick to them. For main courses we tried a plain dosa with sambar and coconut chutney, the butter chicken bowl & a paneer khati roll. Sad to say, after being loyal customers, this place turned us off tonight permanently. I placed a large anniversary dinner order by phone, including tahdig ($12). During the call, I specifically asked if the rice came with tomato and onion and was told no it comes with the tahdig that I ordered. So yes it comes with the order. I was also asked whether I wanted the gheymeh on top or on the side of the tahdig. I chose on the side. When I got home, the order didn't match what was discussed: The tahdig wasn't traditional rice tahdig like me or my wife have had countless times. It was more like this brownish, sheet-like, crumble with a few flecks of rice on the crumble, but not crispy. Not Persian tahdig. The gheymeh was missing entirely, despite being discussed on the call. The tomato and onion that I was told were included were not there. The fesenjan had only a few pieces of chicken. The ghormeh sabzi was okay, but pretty underwhelming in flavor. I called politely to clarify about the missing tahdig (for next time) and was told someone would call me back. No one did. When I called again an hour later, the same person who took my original order responded in a dismissive and accusatory tone, unilaterally escalating her tone and voice immediately, almost angrily accusing me of daring to call, and told me that the tahdig does not come with gheymeh, and tomato and onion aren't included either. (This is the opposite of what I was told when ordering). She repeatedly interrupted me, talking over me, instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. We've been coming here since moving from Southern California a few years ago, whenever we felt homesick and wanted some Persian food. The food has always been....OK....nothing like Persian restaurants in Toronto or Southern California, but we continued ordering out of nostalgia and lack of other options. However, this experience today, incorrect information, missing items, no follow-up, and then, the way the situation was handled was our final turn off. Disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a special occasion. We won't be returning, nor will our visiting Persian family or friends.
