I mean, a birria quesadilla just can't go wrong. I love that it is cheesy and filled with a good amount of flavorful slow-roasted beef. The birria is also a little bit spicy (but not too much) which added some interesting kick on your taste bud. The quesadilla came with rice and beans as a side dish on top of the already big portion size - I was only able to eat half of it and was very full so I would recommend to share it with your friends. $19.95 is a decent price for its portion size. Somehow beef birria was not an option on their menu (only birria tacos were) but we asked the staff and he had no problem making it for us. The staff was very friendly as well. We went around Halloween time and the restaurant was full in for the vibe with a lot of fun decorations/lightings. My combo was charged at 19.95 online the price is 17.95 baja fish tacos with rice and beans. My friend was charged the same price for a combo but got a lesser priced taco and one baja fish taco. 19.95 but if ordered separately it would have been 17.95 for the two tacos and a side 6.95, 4.95 and 5 or 5.95 for side according to the table menu. Maybe they charge more for sitting down in the restaurant compared to takeout? Plus the credit card fee for paying by cc. At least they don't call it a convenience fee.. I feel that it is definitely a terrible charge because it seems to be convenient for me and the restaurant as well, they don't have to deal with cash, but i have no idea how the cash handling and accounting works and, I know, they are charged and fee by the credit card processors.. Last minute plan was perfection! Entered to a live band playing a variety of Latino songs and classic rock. Band sounded AMAZING! Ordered guacamole to start with some chips along with a Mango Margarita on the rocks with tajin on rim....deliciously mixed. My tacos al pastor came out and you can smell the freshness of the seasoning. Overall very happy customer. I have never had such a bad experience with a restaurant ever! My coworker was ordering us food and she placed the order around 11. It had been almost an hour and we still not had gotten anything yet. We contacted the restaurant, and they basically told her that they were going to credit her account. She said no she wants a refund. They said they can't do a refund that they can only do credit. It's been two hours now, and we still have not received our food. Let me tell you how this place has held me down ever since 2019 I discovered they sell breakfast sandwiches! (Quick side note my first meal here was an enchilada)! Every single day (most of the days I switch it up). Went on the 23rd to party with my friend. Was bought drinks from a group of men who ended up leaving their tab open and dipping on the bill. The bartender then took all of those drinks and put it on a tab for my friend and I to pay. This is hands down one of my favorite places in White Plains. I've been coming to Sundance for the past 2-3 years and everything I've gotten from here has always been delicious. I've had their tacos, quesadillas, burritos, empanadas, and enchiladas, to just list a few-- all very good. Their breakfast menu is also great for both Mexican food (Huevos Racheros, Breakfast Tacos, Breakfast Burrito) or a simple OG NY bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll. Their wraps are also great. My boyfriend always gets the Ranchero or Buffalo wrap. While I personally prefer hot foods over wraps, I have to admit, Sundance wraps always delivers and makes me reevaluate my preferences. Prices are reasonable-- at least compared to what I'm used to in Manhattan and Queens. I've been ordering take out a lot from here since the COVID quarantine when I'm exhausted from work and too lazy to cook. Sitting down after a long day with a Sundance dinner has been one of my favorite pick-me-ups. One last thing, all the employees here are also very friendly. Got the chance to finally try this place out on my lunch break! The menu has so many different options to choose from. I was caught between a chicken burrito bowl and steak chimichanga (the way my greed and hunger was set up, I was certainly considering just getting both) but when I got up to the counter "steak chimichanga" was what my mouth, meaning it was what my heart desired, it chose right. Seasoned steak (I repeat seasoned steak), more cheese than your heart needs (literally. But disclaimer, I am not complaining) and fried to perfection (crunchy outside soft inside=yes). It WAS NOT smothered in goop like queso or sauces like other places have done, which was very appreciated. At first I questioned why give rice and beans on the side when there is rice cheese and meat inside (hmmm). But it was all worth it, because when I hit the extra cheesy cheese patch at the end of one half, the rice and beans came to the rescue to stretch the already wonderful flavors of the chimichanga even further! I like a real good Taco. Whether it's on Tuesday or some other other day of the week. It just so happened, it was a Taco Thursday for me! The Mamaroneck Ave. stretch has a nice mix of eats- including 7-month old Sundance. Located just a bit further down on the strip, this is not your average Mexican restaurant. You have your Sandwiches, Paninis, cold cuts, Salads and etcetera- just like you would from a typical Deli. Plus you get a pretty good selection of Mexican fare. Late afternoon atmosphere, seems layback- but somehow I can almost see it packed during lunchtime. Blanca was swift tending her cash register and mentioned that I'd be getting my Shrimp Tacos in a platter. Ok. Cool. And what I liked actually, was that my platter wasn't a mess at all during my drive home. Fresh Shrimp. Well seasoned. Cilantro. That unique taste of fresh lime that gets me on my jugular. The delicate heat. And that avocado! Boy... they were good!!! Black beans held their shape and thank Goodness they weren't mush but could stand some seasonings to them. My only complaint? The extremely limited seafood options and almost wish there were other items that called for seafood other than shrimp or fish Tacos. Aside from those two options, the upside also (for me) was the Veggie versions of common Mexican dishes. Sundance doesn't skimp on taste. My shrimp tacos were seasoned real good and I don't doubt that their Chicken, Steak or pork Mexican items taste bland. Maybe I'm rushing to even say that my Shrimp Tacos alone calls for a return. I'm Vegan and Gluten-free myself....we love this cozy & inviting restaurant....absolutely love it!!! I would like to see more meatless, dairy-free and gluten-free items on the menu. I'm Latin so I know how to cook these foods doing both. I would enjoy the addition of brown rice to the menu...it's not very difficult and can easily be made into arroz con gandules or a rice and beans... serve with tostones and a side green salad. My fav item is veggie tostadas = perfect!! I just have to always ask for the dairy-free version...no cheese/crema....it is delicious. The veggies include a roasted and very tasty eggplant. The sauces are yum, Green is bomb! Service is quick and prices reasonable. Walk-in, take a seat and the server will be with you. They have a cute little bar for beer/wine and have happy hour special. They also do take-out that appears to be busy. The restrooms are spotless. There is a gorgeous colorful Mexican themed wall mural. It seems they decorate with whatever holiday theme going on which is extra special. I like that they take the time to do this. Today I wanted to try a panini, so I ordered a Bandido Panini. It was overall good but, but it was on a wedge and toasted. It was not placed in the original panini bread nor flattened. I was expecting for that. So if you are expecting an authentic panini like that don't order. But if you are happy with it being on a wedge and fairly toasted, this is good for you. Thank you to the friendly staff handing out sample wraps when I was walking by one sunny day forcing me to come back for lunch. The variety and quality of food here is amazing. Usually when an establishment has too many menu options the dishes suffer but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Everything I have tried here has been delicious - from the paninis, to the salads, to the authentic Mexican dishes. All I can say is wow! We've ordered dinner from Sundance before, but this weekend we had them cater our party. We ordered a taco bar and they provided all the toppings needed. The food was delicious and plentiful.
