The most adorable local boutique ice cream shop! If you think that Salt & Straw is inventive, Little Fox takes it up a notch. They truly have some of the most inventive flavors I've ever seen AND they're all super delicious! Their branding is too cute and I love all of the intentional touches. They even have a small sink in the corner of the shop because with ice cream comes sticky hands. Such a darling shop! We went for Berrily Good which is their elevated take on a classic strawberry. It features ecology center strawberry cream, elderflower liqueur, and elderflower strawberry swirl. Super yums! Their ice cream has a slightly stretchy and chewy texture which I love. Also, they're really intentional about each scoop. They have an array of toppings and make sure to dress up each one. I'll definitely be back!

I am vegan, so this review regarding the ice cream itself is only for the vegan ice creams. I am glad they have vegan options, but unlike Salt & Straw and Stella Jean that also offer vegan ice cream flavors alongside the dairy ones, I'm not eager to come back to Little Fox. The flavors sounded so cool and I tried all four vegan options (S'mores, Three Strikes, Lavender Haze, and Vanilla Cake), the peanut buttery bite I had of Three Strikes had me excited so I got that flavor, but the soggy bits of kettle corn in my actual scoop weren't enjoyable. If I were to choose again, I would've gotten the Lavender Haze. The service was fantastic. The line was way out the door yet each time a staff greeted a new customer, it was with a bright welcoming smile and invite to sample flavors or get their scoops going. The inside is cute & I love the plants. They have a little sink, I'm guessing for sticky fingers to wash up after finishing their scoops! With only one doorway to enter/exit, it was cramped when people left after paying for their dessert. If someone was in a wheelchair, a lot of movement of the people in line would've had to happen for them to use the ramp walkway and get through the door. Street parking was easy! If I go back with others, I'd consider trying a new flavor if one comes, but for now, I have no desire to go back.

5/5 must try. I loved the London fog specifically - just an amazing blend of vanilla, cake, and earl grey. In a city with so much great ice cream, it's hard to compete - rest assured Little Fox is among the best. The options are so unique and not overdone. I would be happy eating a scoop of most flavors here.

Found this little gem while I was searching for an ice cream shop. What sets this place apart is their creative and unique flavor combinations. Some of the flavors sounded a little unexpected at first, but every one we tried was delicious and thoughtfully crafted. You can tell they put a lot of care into creating flavors that are both fun and memorable. My personal favorite was the Banana Pancake flavor. It perfectly captured the comforting taste of a warm stack of pancakes and bananas, with just the right balance of sweetness. It was rich, creamy, and perfectly flavored like chocolate chip banana pancakes. My boyfriend had the Three Strikes flavor, which is a creamy peanut butter with peanut brittle, it was also delicious. We tried both flavors together and they both went really well together. The shop itself has a welcoming atmosphere, and the rotating selection of flavors makes it a place you'll want to visit more than once. If you're in Oceanside and looking for something beyond the typical ice cream shop, Little Fox is definitely worth stopping by. Whether you're feeling adventurous or just want a great scoop of ice cream, you're likely to find a flavor you'll love.

This place is so yummy and they have a descent amount of vegan options. I believe they have four and they were all delicious. On Mother's Day, they gave away a mini bouquet of flowers and a pint of ice cream. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the first ten that also got a nice glass jar to store goodies in. I did see some people walk about with just the freebies and that was kind of annoying to see. I think they should have at least purchased something. They should have restricted the freebies to customers only. I ended up gifting the free non-vegan option to my mother (she loved it) and my hubby bought me a vegan pint for myself. Inside there is no seating but they have 2 benches outside. While there is a small parking lot in the back, the parking lot gets full quickly and street parking can be tricky. Their ice cream is really tasty and they even decorate your ice cream with extra toppings like sprinkles and vegan marshmallows. This is one of our new favorite ice cream shops!

I was so excited to come here when I saw that they offer vegan ice cream tacos! I've been wanting to try one of these for a long time and this is one of the only places I've ever seen with a vegan option. I got the plant based s'more the merrier taco, which was so good! I love that they even have vegan marshmallows for it. They also had several vegan ice cream flavors for scooping, and everything was very clearly labelled. The service was super friendly and I picked up a free sticker too.

This place is soooo cute! You walk in and it's bright, clean, and organized. I loved reading the menu as the different flavors of ice cream were unexpected. The owner was really kind and offered samples. One thing I appreciate is you sample with an actual spoon. It wasn't plastic or wooden, it was a gold spoon. I felt fancy. The little scoop was enough for me. I don't eat ice cream much so I liked the ability to enjoy without being wasteful. At first glance, pricing seemed high. However, quality ingredients plus the beauty of the shop makes it all make sense. Parking is a hassle. There's a small lot or street parking. You may need to drive around a bit. The parlor has a pizza place neighbor and more food across the street. I wish you could make your own taco! That would be amazing. I definitely think everyone should try it out.

Things + Stuff and Spring Fling
    Leslie C.

Such a cute ice cream place with so many options! Parking was full and the shop was busy when we stopped by. Street parking is advised for easy access. There was a line, but it's mostly due to customers sampling and having a great experience in trying different flavors. Guests are given golden sampling spoons which is very different from usual ice cream places! Limited and location exclusive flavors are posted on their website. Spring Fling is one of their seasonal flavors of matcha and lime. It was an enjoyable combo and not too overwhelming in lime flavor. Things+Stuff contains pretzel cream and peanut butter. The scoop itself contained a decent amount of mix ins. There are so many interesting flavors to try with locally sourced ingredients. I hope to stop by again!

Positioned right next to Corner pizza and across the street from Tanners and Homestate, Little Fox is a great stop for a sweet treat after a meal or on its own. It's a small shop with a ton of unique flavors. My recent visit here was due to meeting a friend who really wanted to try Tanners and specifically also requested Little Fox. This was great because they are so close. I got the RBF which is a root beer flavored concoction. It was good. Not too overpowering and between the cream and the root beer flavors it was so well balanced. My friend got the diet riot since she is a big chocolate fan. She absolutely loved hers. There really isn't an area to sit and eat your ice cream except for one bench outside so keep that in mind. Most people just stand out front on the sidewalk and enjoy. Definitely stop by for their unique flavors if you are in the area.

    Lavender Haze!
    JD B.

My daughter and I strolled over to Little Fox for some ice cream while we aired for our Tanners burgers and wow, we were happy we did! I had the Banana Pancake ice cream and it may be the best ice cream I've had in my life. The place is cute and the people very helpful and the flavors or inspired and elevated without being ridiculous. Also, my daughter had the Lavender Haze and it was amazing, as well! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

The best way to end a night in Oceanside is definitely at Little Fox. The variety of ice creams (with many Gluten free options) and their willingness to help you sample until you find the right one is unmatched. Bonus points for using silverware for sampling instead of disposable single use plastics. That's my biggest gripe with other places, and Little Fox earns so many points for doing that. Their cones are high quality and help up while we enjoyed them. Parking is in a bit of a tight area as they're next to Tanners and Home State, but it's certainly worth it. Make sure your next craving for a sweet treat is fulfilled here. You will not regret it.

Very good ice cream Different flavors that are very rich but subtle Service was really good and the place was very cute. Gets very busy but lucked out and got there when there was 3 people in line. Otw out, the line was long again

As soon as you walk through the entrance gate, you are transported to a lovely tea garden. We did make reservations ahead as it is reservation only. Rushell greeted us and we were quickly seated. We chose the La Dolce Vita Tea Experience. We were able to sniff the tea leaves first in individual test tubes which absolutely helped me pick my tea. I loved that experience! Once everything was selected, we were brought out our teas and salads. The salad was refreshing and I especially enjoyed the fresh tomatoes, garbanzo beans, and house vinaigrette. I had the Eiffel tea and absolutely loved it. I typically prefer black teas with either hints of floral or fruit notes and this tea had the perfect combination. We were then given our individual towers/ tea tiers which consisted of three sandwiches (smoked salmon pinwheels, apple Brie melt, and Prosciutto, Feta And Balsamic Fig Sandwich) of our choosing, a cranberry orange cake scone with creme Fraîche and strawberry preserves, and a trio of desserts (lemon cake with blueberries, petite four, and a rosemary shortbread). I honestly loved everything I ordered. I loved the cake scone as it was very moist and the sandwiches were all divine with powerful flavors in each bite. I didn't love the creme fraîche, as I prefer clotted cream with my scones, but it does offer a great break from sweetness of the cake scone. I especially enjoyed how toasted the Apple Brie melt was. I love short breads and petite fours, so I'm a bit biased but they were my favorite desserts. Not only did we have a lovely time due to the atmosphere, tea, and delicious food, but we thoroughly enjoyed Rushell herself! She was so welcoming and shared so much with us. Happy to always support local and especially women-owned businesses. I can't wait to go back!

One of the best items is the Chicken and Waffles Benedict ($19). It worked extremely well together with the sweetness of the Belgian waffle and the savory notes of the chicken. It included small containers of maple syrup. The hashbrowns were the best! They really killed it with the super crispy outside. Loved it! However, DH liked the Savory Crêpe ($15) even more! This one just had such a great flavor combination: the little bits of chicken, mushrooms, and classic Provence seasoning. The avocado toast ($8.50) with an over-easy egg ($3) was amazing. It features a multigrain bread and just had some great toasty flavors and topped with a little bit of micro greens. Everything worked so well together. The ham and cheese croissant sandwich ($9.25) is a rectangular shaped one. There is an omelette "patty", tomato, and bacon on the inside. This one was also surprisingly good, even when deconstructed and reheated the next day. The kids really enjoyed sharing a sweet crêpe ($14) with four toppings: strawberry, banana, chocolate, and real whipped cream. We tried a cappuccino ($5.25) and a soy latte ($5.25 + $1 for milk substitution). They were really good, not bitter, but I wish it was a little bit more concentrated. Maybe I'll try oatmilk next time. All of the pastries were amazing. We got a bunch to share and enjoy throughout our vacation. We tried two scones ($3.85 each), blueberry and raspberry pecan. The scones were nicely crunchy on the outside, yet soft and tender on the inside. Wow! We froze these for eating the next day and slowly thawed them in the oven and they were still wonderful. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie ($2.95) had a rich buttery taste. The texture is right in the middle and it's pretty large. Holiday Christmas tree cookie ($4.50) is a delicious buttery sugar cookie with a multitude of sprinkles. This one is not very big, but you can tell it required a lot of work to make it. Get more than one! The Chocolatine ($4.75) was a favorite. So flaky and it has a good amount of chocolate in the middle. Cheese Danish ($4.75) and All Day Bun ($3.75) are saved for later so we haven't tried them yet. Overall, an amazing place for a high-quality breakfast. We will be back!

I went to the counter and asked if I had been forgotten. 2 of the employees got to work on my order. The only young woman working there was on her phone and handling food with the same gloves. I said excuse me, to her and pointed out that she had been on her phone and handled food in without getting new gloves. She looked at me and said, "So do you want me to change my gloves?" I replied "yes, it's a sanitation issue. I have worked in the industry and taught restaurant management." She changed gloves, cut off the edges of the Taiyaki waffle she had touched with the other gloves, finished my dish, and slid my finished dish across the counter. She said nothing as she slid the dish of taiyaki towards me, and turned and walked away from the counter. The restaurant had an "A" rating, but the cross contamination issue of handling personal phone and food with the same gloves, is not "A" rating behavior. It was close to closing and I do understand that it was getting late. It is still very disappointing. The restaurant did appear to be clean in the customer area. As I watched all 3 employees, the gentlemen working showed safe and sanitary work behaviors. I hope this cross contamination behavior by the female employee gets corrected.
