    Savory crêpe
    Kari C.

Five stars all the way! We have found our new favorite breakfast place in Oceanside. We picked up a large order to go which took ~15 to 20 minutes on a weekday around 8 AM. One of the best items is the Chicken and Waffles Benedict ($19). It worked extremely well together with the sweetness of the Belgian waffle and the savory notes of the chicken. It included small containers of maple syrup. The hashbrowns were the best! They really killed it with the super crispy outside. Loved it! However, DH liked the Savory Crêpe ($15) even more! This one just had such a great flavor combination: the little bits of chicken, mushrooms, and classic Provence seasoning. The avocado toast ($8.50) with an over-easy egg ($3) was amazing. It features a multigrain bread and just had some great toasty flavors and topped with a little bit of micro greens. Everything worked so well together. The ham and cheese croissant sandwich ($9.25) is a rectangular shaped one. There is an omelette "patty", tomato, and bacon on the inside. This one was also surprisingly good, even when deconstructed and reheated the next day. The kids really enjoyed sharing a sweet crêpe ($14) with four toppings: strawberry, banana, chocolate, and real whipped cream. We tried a cappuccino ($5.25) and a soy latte ($5.25 + $1 for milk substitution). They were really good, not bitter, but I wish it was a little bit more concentrated. Maybe I'll try oatmilk next time. All of the pastries were amazing. We got a bunch to share and enjoy throughout our vacation. We tried two scones ($3.85 each), blueberry and raspberry pecan. The scones were nicely crunchy on the outside, yet soft and tender on the inside. Wow! We froze these for eating the next day and slowly thawed them in the oven and they were still wonderful. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie ($2.95) had a rich buttery taste. The texture is right in the middle and it's pretty large. Holiday Christmas tree cookie ($4.50) is a delicious buttery sugar cookie with a multitude of sprinkles. This one is not very big, but you can tell it required a lot of work to make it. Get more than one! The Chocolatine ($4.75) was a favorite. So flaky and it has a good amount of chocolate in the middle. Cheese Danish ($4.75) and All Day Bun ($3.75) are saved for later so we haven't tried them yet. Overall, an amazing place for a high-quality breakfast. We will be back!

Chicken Pesto Sandwich ($13) - This was a simple, yet delicious sandwich! The pesto was clearly housemade and not overpowering. I also loved the chicken's marinade. All-Day Bun ($3.75) - Their most popular pastry was a hit! It was perfectly fluffy and crispy and well-coated with sugar. Highly recommend!

Visited for a sit down breakfast in their cafe this time. Its an "order-at-the-counter" and then "find-a-seat" place. They welcome you in and help you at the register once you're ready. They offer menu suggestions if you ask. Their pastry case is beautiful and it's hard to skip out on a pastry! You won't be sorry you did. My mom and her husband joined us and everyone loved their order. The over easy eggs were prepared to perfection, the avocado toast hit the spot, the half order chicken and waffle Benedict was just enough, and the Greek bowl had everything I love in one bowl. Their blueberry cheese danish was our choice this time and it was delicious with the hot coffee. They serve Vigilante coffee. Service was wonderful. Our food came out in a timely manner and one of the women kindly offered to snap a group photo of us. We'll certainly be back to our local bakery and cafe.

Checked our listing for breakfast on a rainy Saturday morning and found this sweet recommended bakery in the heart of Oceanside. What a great find! Upon entering this location off the corner, we were able to place our order fairly quickly while observing the glass case of various bakery items. We chose to have breakfast of french toast & half order of eggs Benedict with Latte and coffee. I also ordered a cinnamon swirl and an apple cinnamon crumb cake. Everything was delicious and the staff came around a few times to ck our coffee and see how we liked it. There was booth and some chair tables near the windows. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant to enjoy the old blues music and enjoy a cup of java.

Petite Madeline's?! Yes please. This bakery is insane. Their options are vast and everything looked sooo good. The three day butter croissant was next level as was the brioche French toast. I normally stay with proteins but gave in and was not disappointed. The service was awesome as well. Didn't catch our servers name or I'd give her a shoutout. Super sweet, perfectly attentive, and kept a close eye on the coffee levels and table without being over bearing. Full bakery/coffeehouse/breakfast spot vibes. Small and quaint with plenty of seating as well. Can't wait to come back!

Have you been here? I amSeriously, have you? I went to the hospital on this fine sunny day and while there was talking to my nurse. He asked what was I doing after appointment. I was like breakfast sandwich. Like I want a fresh bagel. Welp. He mentioned this place and lucky for me, it was TOTALLY on our way home. I told my boyfriend where I wanted to go. I ordered a chocolate croissant and he ordered a chicken sandwich. I'll admit was not a fan of the chicken sandwich but that pastry. O M G. It was soft, fresh, not every sweet. Was just right. I had a latte and yes. It was yummy. The place is so sweet and cozy. Family and brunch friendly. Must try. Can't wait to go back and try something new

Pancakes, eggs, and bacon. I'll pass on the bacon next time.

This is a nice little place for breakfast, or pastries. I end up getting th pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon and coffee. When you enter you order and pay first, then find a table. Silverware, napkins, and water is self serve. They bring your food and drink to your table. Everything was g except the bacon. It tasted like it wasn't pork. I almost didn't finish it. I just BBQ and this bacon would get a low score. All the pastries looked yummy. I'll get them on a future visit. The service was good and the place is clean.

The chicken sandwich is incredible. Probably won't get the quiche again. Our desserts did not disappoint. Finger licking. We'll definitely come again. I'm giving this place STAFF OF THE DAY AWARD. SO friendly and thoughtful. Very clean and lively environment. Nice music too.

After years of driving past this place, my wife and I finally stopped in for breakfast and wow, what a great experience! The customer service was fantastic and professional. The food? Incredible. I haven't had a savory crepe this good since my time in Germany! Every bite of breakfast was absolutely delicious. The dining area was elegant and beautifully decorated it really added to the overall experience. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.

We were in Oceanside visiting with my daughter and boyfriend and we decided to go to brunch at Petite Madeline Bakery and Bistro located in downtown Oceanside. My daughter has had their yummy pastries before but it was the first time for all of us to dine in here. Cute little place with some yummy breakfast/brunch options. I chose the chicken and waffle eggs Benedict half order and a side salad. The perfect pairing. We also ordered the apple danish which was delicious! The rest of the table ordered the avocado toast, the Greek bowl and the two egg plate. Everyone enjoyed their selections and we would definitely come back to try other menu items and pastries.

This French cafe is a hidden gem in Oceanside. They serve breakfast and lunch. We only wanted pastries. They weren't busy on a Saturday afternoon. Service was helpful and kind. I got their giant chocolate hazelnut cake. It was moist. The hazelnuts on top were a nice touch. I couldn't finish the cake and shared it with 3 other people. It took us 2 days.

This homegrown bakery is a casual setting for American breakfast & lunch fare, plus coffee, espresso & French pastries. Everything is made from scratch and it is family owned. The baked goods are first come, first serve! And they GO QUICK. Food and service was divine we had to visit twice on our trip! Everything was so good! I would eat here everyday if I could. The staff is extra sweet and super friendly. They remembered us!

Birthday cakes available or are they made to order in advance?

I believe those would need to be ordered in advance. I have never seen holiday or event cakes in the cold case waiting to be purchased. Those items tend to be special order.

From the moment we arrived, Sierra greeted us with her kindness and attentiveness. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely present, checking in at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. It was clear she truly cared about creating a positive experience, and that level of attentiveness made a big difference. Bryce was equally impressive in his approach. What shined was his care and attention to detail, especially when it came to accommodating my allergies. He made a point to ask questions before taking action, ensuring that everything was handled safely and thoughtfully. I appreciated how realistic and transparent he was about what could and couldn't be modified, which helped build trust and made me feel more at ease navigating the menu. His professionalism and awareness were evident throughout. Drea also made a strong impression with her calm and reassuring presence. She approached everything with a sense of patience and understanding, and I felt genuinely understood and validated in my requests and concerns. As for the food and drinks, my friend really enjoyed the Buccaneer smoothie and even went back for a second cup of drip coffee, which they said was smooth and satisfying. I had an avocado, egg, and tortilla burrito, and I especially liked the house brown sugar coffee, which had a rich, slightly sweet flavor that came through as a highlight for me. Their kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to accommodate made a lasting impression, and it's clear that the team truly values customer care. I appreciated the window so we could order outside, sit outside, be right by the ocean and have access to restrooms.
