The Rancho Bernardo location is behind the Rancho Bernardo Library by Kaiser Permanente. Oasis Center is available to those 50 years and up. It offers many classes ranging from cooking and art to tai chi/ workouts/ line dancing. The classes are more reasonably priced than Poway Adult School. I have taken line dancing and Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangements) there and have signed up for Cardio drumming classes and tai chi classes too. You can select to take several classes or one at a time. The classes are well attended and the facility is very convenient (lots of parking available). Well recommended for those 50 years and older.

Their Bach to Rock Director Diego, receptionist Kimble, and also for both Collin and Eva who are both amazing and excellence instructors. Everyone, please avoid this Bach to Rock location. I want to share my very upsetting experience…read more On April 6, my child went in for a scheduled lesson, but the instructor never showed up. Even worse, the front desk staff did not notify us at all. As a result, my child was left at the front desk for 30 minutes without any supervision. Afterward, we reported this situation to them, but the person in charge made excuses, claiming it was a system issue and saying that they had been looking after my child. However, regardless of what happened, they should have notified the parents immediately. Furthermore, we did not ask or need them to supervise our child. What is even more upsetting is that my child told us that there was no one at the front desk for a long period of time. This means my autistic child was left alone without any supervision for nearly 30 minutes. My child has autism, and these lessons are part of a therapeutic program funded by the Regional Center as a third-party provider. What happened was extremely shocking and distressing for our family. Given this experience, we no longer feel safe sending our child there. We requested a refund for the unused portion of the prepaid lessons so that we can find another provider for proper treatment (the Regional Center has already paid in full), but our request has been completely ignored. We find this situation extremely alarming and highly irresponsible!!!! This is an extremely irresponsible organization that shows no care or compassion and is taking advantage of resources meant for children with autism. Please stay away from this place.

The communication between the staff, families, and school staff is a big reason we stick with the program. While San Diego Unified might not care so much about how a student behaved or their character, Three Treasures does care. They will tell the parent updates from school that you would not otherwise know because the school is too busy to communicate. The homework help is another reason we stay. The other after school programs do not dedicate as much time or ensure your child actually does their homework. It is a godsend that their homework is done when you pick up. I am going to say Three Treasures isn't for everyone. I don't think the kids are coddled here. If you or your kid needs special treatment, this isn't the right program for you. Three Treasures will be honest and let you know that.

They also donate funds towards a student scholarship yearly to a local graduating senior majoring in art. The art work changes out quarterly followed by a reception featuring all the members as well as five "featured artists" and the press. Food and beverages are served at the receptions. Bertrand's Music is a music store focused on "school band & orchestra sales, rentals, lessons, and…read morerepair," as stated on their website. Our middle school band teachers works with Bertrand's Music exclusively and I understand that they trust them. The store itself looks nice. They had some instruments for sale displayed, along with music books. They have rooms for lessons in the back. The parking lot is usually congested though and parking is not easy. Our experience is only with getting an instrument repair quote from them. I'm sure the lessons and rentals are just fine here, but we would not exactly recommend Bertrand's for repairs, especially if you weren't even referred to come here by your school band for an instrument that belongs to the school. They have to ship out the instrument somewhere off site to even give us a quote, and we had to wait ten business days just to hear back that the instrument was unsalvageable and not worth repairing. They were unable to provide us with any written detail of what exactly needed to be repaired and what the cost would be. I'm not sure why they do it like this, because it appears a bit unprofessional. If you're looking for someone to repair a specific instrument that you own, we don't think this is the perfect place to bring it. It would probably be best to find someone who specializes in repairing that instrument to do it on site. Repairs were just one aspect of their business and it's technically a relationship between the school band and Bertrand's, so it didn't bother us. The staff were very nice and accommodating, and we appreciated that. They provided us with a receipt that the school needed, and it was as simple as that. Thank you!

This school is led by Taiwanese and teaches both traditional and pinyin. I especially appreciate the various cultural activities they'll do such as flag ceremony for Taiwanese National Day and rice ball soup for Cultural Day. I like that my daughter is learning to speak and even write some Chinese as well as a little about the culture. The website and school info is a bit confusing for newcomers or non-Chinese readers. Bottom line you pay one lump sum tuition for the school year (typically Sept through May) and an $80 service fee that you can get credited back if you choose to volunteer (there are a variety of ways to do so), as well as a $50 donation that you can earn back if you sell $700 worth of gift cards ($50 is about the equivalent of their "commission" earned through selling that much in gift cards). The $50 is returned to you in the form of a gift card. The gift cards available are for Starbucks, Domino's, 85C, Sprout's, Soup Plantation, See's Candies and many other options. Even if you choose not to volunteer or sell gift cards and "donate" the $130 it's still a great value.
